Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

All of this only required paying some additional prestige points.

The first option was the well-known T-Virus. After all, even before bio-weapons themselves were fully developed, just the terrifying spread potential of the T-Virus alone was enough for Killian to believe that the U.S. government would buy the whole thing even at an astronomical price.

Because no country was more obsessed with biological weapons research than the United States.

At the end of the day, their population was relatively limited, which led to a shortage in manpower resources. On the battlefield, there was even a rule that as long as the casualty rate among American soldiers reached 50%, they could surrender unconditionally without being considered at fault.

That alone reflected, to a large extent, how precious manpower was to them.

That was exactly why they invested so heavily in biological weapons research. No matter what else they invested in, it all ultimately required people to operate it.

But biological weapons, biological viruses, and similar tools only needed to be looted, deployed, or released directly to get results.

As for research funding?

Sorry, but money was the one thing they lacked the least.

Not to mention that Killian, who knew the future potential of the T-Virus, understood very well what it could lead to. Lickers, Nemesis, Tyrants, all of them were fully qualified bio-weapons derived from it.

Although the latter would probably cost tens of millions to create, from another perspective, once you had one, it could carry out any mission perfectly, whether in scorching heat or frozen glaciers.

It would be like having a tireless, fearless elite agent working for you around the clock.

And the only thing you would need to do was maintain its equipment from time to time. Other than that, nothing else.

Even in the end, if it could no longer be used properly, you could casually throw it into an enemy nation and let it unlock its final form. Even if it could not destroy the country outright, it would still disgust and cripple them badly enough.

However, with his current wealth, Killian could only afford to exchange for the T-Virus itself. If he wanted to unlock things like Lickers, Nemesis, or Tyrants, he would need those absurdly expensive genetic maps.

All in all, if there was one thing in the system that was the least cost-effective, it was genetic maps. Their prices were already comparable to the most advanced technologies he could currently unlock.

As for the second option, the Neural Control Chip, honestly, it really was an excellent item for him right now.

After all, in this world, there was no such thing as privacy.

Any random low-level employee could secretly be an agent for Hydra, S.H.I.E.L.D., or the intelligence networks of various countries.

At his current stage of development, that might not be a major issue yet. But as his company continued to grow, the Neural Control Chip would definitely become a necessary choice.

Once he had that, he could completely eliminate the existence of corporate spies and undercover agents.

The third option, the High-Frequency Vibration Blade from Metal Gear, was undeniably cool. It looked good, and it was stylish.

But more importantly, Killian was interested in the energy source technology behind it. He was very curious about what exactly powered it and allowed it to maintain such an extremely high vibration frequency.

And not to mention the metal material that could withstand vibrations at that level.

It could be said that it was definitely a brand-new alloy. If he could reproduce it, the range of applications would be enormous. Military, national defense, aerospace, all of them would welcome it enthusiastically.

Of course, what Killian cared about most was still the last option, the medical robot Baymax.

He had watched Big Hero 6 before. Leaving aside the fact that Baymax itself could be upgraded with different chips to expand its service functions, its basic medical scanning ability alone was already worth the price.

If there was one thing every person definitely needed, even if Killian could not say what they lacked most, it was a device like this that could monitor their health in real time.

After all, no one in this world wanted to get sick.

And Baymax's built-in body scanner could absolutely be considered a one-of-a-kind piece of black technology.

As long as he chose this one, even without cooperating with any other company, he could make Advanced Idea Mechanics famous and spread its reputation across the entire world.

Compared to the first three options, this was clearly the one with the greatest immediate return for Killian.

So after repeatedly comparing them, Killian directly chose Baymax.

Not long after, as Killian made his selection, a huge amount of blue data streams suddenly appeared before him, then poured into his eyes like speeding trains.

When he came back to his senses, Killian rubbed his swollen head.

For some reason, he felt as if that transmission had nearly burned his brain out.

"But honestly, it was worth it."

Looking at the knowledge that had appeared in his mind out of nowhere, everything about Baymax was already there, from the initial design concept all the way to final production and completion. Every piece of data, every technical process, every bit of research was now stored in his brain.

What he had not expected, however, was that the workload for creating Baymax was already far beyond what he could complete alone at his current stage.

Intelligent chips, carbon fiber support frames, power motors, hyperspectral cameras, and the ethylene resin outer shell, each one of these would take a huge amount of time and energy to develop.

Killian did not know whether he should blame it on the technological explosion of the era Big Hero 6 took place in or something else entirely. After all, a mere student in that world had managed to create such a groundbreaking technology.

But when he thought again about the system's title of "black technology," he immediately understood.

If it were not true black technology, it would not even qualify to be included in the system.

After a long while, feeling the sudden blast of icy wind, Killian finally decided to leave the rooftop first and return to the company before doing anything else. He needed to create Baymax as soon as possible.

Then, Killian took the elevator down to the hotel lobby on the first floor.

Since it was still very early, there was no one else in the lobby aside from the staff.

Ignoring the gazes of the employees around him, Killian walked straight out of the building.

Right now, he needed to hurry back to his company.

But just as he stepped out of the hotel entrance, he saw an unexpected figure.

Maya Hansen.

At that moment, she was sitting alone by the roadside, hugging a flowerpot with a green plant in her arms.

From a distance, she looked like a little dog abandoned by its owner.

Recalling the plot, Killian immediately understood what was going on.

This woman had originally come to this New Year's party packed with wealthy elites in order to secure funding for the research she had been working on for many years.

And yesterday, she had indeed succeeded in getting close to Tony Stark.

Unfortunately for her, no matter how hard she tried to communicate with Tony Stark, the man had only been focused on enjoying the main course.

He had absolutely no interest in biotechnology.

It could be said that Maya's carefully prepared honey trap had been completely devoured by Tony from beginning to end.

As for the real payload, it had simply been tossed aside.
