After a few more minutes the sky changed back to normal. That was a divine message just now. Only Goddess Luminus could do that in the whole Luminus Imperium, as she is the one goddess worshipped by everyone in human territory except the Ancient Families.
But it is not without any drawback. She can only use this technique during the sky phenomenon and her own powers will be deducted for a time, after using it...
The people cheered out loud for their new king. But suddenly the Eternal fire lit up again and a beautiful knight emblem came out of the flames...
It was like a token, engraved with the same symbol that was on Silas's hand.
The people behind gasped. Lucian, Selene, Nytheira, Varric they all knew what this thing was...
In their records there is a legendary fighter known as the First Knight. And this emblem represents him.
The Eternal Flame issuing the knight emblem meant the flame had chosen the First Knight of the Ancient Kingdom.
Silas didn't know anything about it. He just frowned, looking at the emblem, when Cassian, still kneeling behind, sent a message through a whispering technique, "Silas! Ahem, my King..... that is the First Knight emblem. The Eternal Flame chooses the First Knight for the kingdom."
"There is a legend in the family, except for the king..... only the First Knight can even kill the gods at his apex..."
Hearing all of this, Silas's frown deepened more... he looked coldly at the emblem. He didn't know why but his soul continuously felt uncomfortable.... as if something bad was going to happen...
When the emblem glowed and stepped out of the flame, then came towards Silas and circled him one time, then flew towards the sky.... as if the emblem had its own consciousness....
Then it suddenly ran towards a direction.... Silas felt dumbfounded. The thing he was worried about happened at this moment...
The emblem stopped in front of Draven and glowed....
Draven looked at Silas, who shook his head to tell him not to accept the emblem... but everyone looked towards the handsome man who was kneeling. Cassian and the others also looked towards him....
He smiled once, looking at Silas, and took the emblem from the air. The emblem turned into light and entered Draven's chest, and on the left side of Draven's chest a beautiful mark such as Silas's appeared.
Everyone gasped when Draven gave Silas an absolute knight's salute and said, "Long live Your Majesty, the Ancient King!"
Silas looked at Draven, his face full of worry, his heart jumping inside his chest.... "Why? Why did you do that!" he said slowly...
Draven said without lifting his head, "My Lord! To protect you, to protect this kingdom and its people.... I accepted the knight emblem."
Everyone fell silent. The envoy above on the balcony, now composed, looked towards Draven. He had never seen a person with this much chivalry in the Empire.
He also sighed. Now he knows why the Ancient Families are different from the Empire.... why they are always revered by the people....
The sky turned dark instantly and thunder rumbled.
In the god realm, Luminus gritted her teeth as she stared into the pensive before her... she was watching everything from here.
She had even bestowed a blessing upon that kingdom without thinking, even taking the risk to send a divine message.
But now what did she see? She saw Draven take the knight emblem and accept it as the First Knight of the Ancient Kingdom.
"Why? Why did you become stupid after entering that place!"
"Why did you choose to be his First Knight? He doesn't need you to protect him..."
If she could send another divine message, she'd do it immediately. But she doesn't have that power. She even clutched her own hair tightly in frustration.
She murmured, "You're gone! Draven, you completely lost your motive to go there...."
Below, Silas looked at Draven for a long time. Although everyone in his family knew that Silas had a boyfriend now, they didn't know it was Draven.
Cassian and the others' eyes glowed as they looked at Draven. This young man had the ability to reach a higher realm than even themselves... and it was proven by the Eternal Flame today.
But Silas said nothing. After a few more seconds he sighed and said, "Then let me give you your first order..."
"From today onwards, Draven will be known as Sir Draven Ashbourne."
Everyone gasped. That's a title given by the king himself... it meant he had just become a noble.
Silas continued, "And you will be taking the rank of duke. Your rank will be without territory. And you are going to be by my side all the time..."
Draven smiled in his heart. He felt happy about this decision, he could follow Silas from now on at any time.
"As you order, my King!"
Silas nodded, and everyone fell silent for a moment before cheering for the First Knight of their new kingdom.
The people Draven had spent the evening with before also came towards him and congratulated him. The waiter boy said, "Sir Draven! You won't forget us, will you?" His face was full of smiles.
With him were the carpenter, the waitress, and the farmer all present.
The carpenter slapped the boy on the back and said, "Humph! How could you forget? He is from the Ancient Kingdom, under the king himself... have they ever forgotten us commoners? They won't forget us now."
The boy chuckled as Draven answered, "I know our king and he'd never forget about you, nor would I as his First Knight..." He smiled as he said it.
And Silas announced again, "Now start the feast!"
Everyone cheered at the word feast. For the commoners, these were the happiest days of their lives.
Draven went to Silas after pushing through the huge crowd, but everyone who saw him made way for him toward their king.
Draven came before Silas and bowed. Silas looked at him coldly and said, "Come with me."
He turned and waved his hand. The Eternal Flame flew above the castle and burned more fiercely, without damaging anything.
Silas looked at the three Guardian Spirits and said, "Go back to the ancestral land. I'll call you if I need you..."
They disappeared into the air. Everyone now stood up. Silas went to his mother, Lysandra, and said, "I need to discuss something with Draven. I'll go back inside for a moment..."
The moment Lysandra heard Silas announced this unknown person's name without even asking, she and everyone there knew that they knew each other.
She chuckled and said, "My King! Don't worry, we'll take care of the guests. You can go and finish your things..."
Silas frowned. "Mother! At least you and Father should not use my title , you should use my name directly instead..."
She shook her head and said, "No, we can't do that. It is our family's rule. We can't change that!"
Silas sighed. "Then at least use my name in private."
She nodded this time and smiled. She came over to Draven and said, "After talking with him, come to me. I need to discuss something with you..."
Draven nodded nervously. Silas walked toward the inner castle. Their castle had already been modified by the mages, it really looked like a king's castle now.
Draven followed behind him without saying anything.
Silas didn't say anything throughout the journey. He just took big steps toward the inner chamber... Draven also didn't say anything. He just followed Silas while looking at his back.
After a few more minutes they reached a beautiful door... it was Silas's personal room, specifically designed for the king.
Silas opened the door and entered. He turned and saw Draven was still standing outside the door. It is the rule — no one can enter the king's chamber without his permission.
Silas looked at Draven and felt extreme anger. Before today, Draven had never acted like this. He always became lovey-dovey whenever he saw Silas. But today, after seeing him here, he became composed?
'Composed my foot!' Silas thought in his head.
He gritted his teeth and said to Draven, "Come inside!"
Draven nodded and entered the room. The moment he entered, Silas immediately closed the door and locked it.... this room was specifically enchanted so that no sound could leak from inside or come from outside.
He then took big strides toward Draven, then clutched his collar. Draven was bigger than him, so he clutched his collar and pulled his face toward him. "You! Why did you do that?"
Draven chuckled, "My lord..."
Silas sneered, "My lord my foot!"
Silas looked into Draven's eyes and said, "Do you know how dangerous it is to be my First Knight... I told you not to accept it."
Draven looked into Silas's eyes and said, "My lord..."
Silas gritted his teeth in anger. "If you say that word one more time... I'll... I'll punish you."
Draven gulped, looking at his angry boyfriend.
He said after a few seconds... "My king! I can stay beside you if I accept that title..."
Silas felt the veins in his head pop up instantly. He pushed Draven toward the huge bed and Draven fell onto the bed. Silas immediately straddled Draven with his two legs and locked him beneath himself...
Silas said, looking into Draven's eyes, "You said that word again! Now it is your punishment time..."
Draven gulped hard. He could feel his heart raging at this moment... he said, stammering.... "But I said 'my king'! Not 'my lord'..."
