Chapter 25 - Secrets of the Ice Temple

Chapters 25

 The Ancient Ruins

The storm had calmed… but the cold remained deadly.

After the merging of the two Aaravs into the True Ice Guardian, the atmosphere of the mountains had changed.

The wind no longer felt wild.

It felt controlled.

Watching.

Waiting.

Ran, Mariya, and Aarav walked through a narrow frozen path between towering cliffs.

Snow crunched beneath their feet.

The sky above was pale and silent.

But deep inside the mountains—

Something ancient was awakening.

Aarav walked ahead, leading the way.

His presence was now different.

Stronger.

Colder.

More complete.

The glowing spear in his hand radiated pure ice energy.

Mariya looked at him carefully.

"You feel… different now."

Aarav didn't look back.

"I am complete."

Ran smirked.

"Good. Because we're going to need that."

They continued walking.

The path became steeper.

More dangerous.

Frozen bridges stretched across deep valleys.

Sharp winds echoed from below.

Finally—

They reached it.

A hidden structure buried deep inside the mountain.

An ancient ruin.

The Ice Temple.

Even from outside, it looked unreal.

The entire structure was carved from frozen crystal.

Gigantic pillars stood at the entrance.

Each one glowing faintly with blue light.

Strange symbols moved across the surface like living energy.

Mariya whispered softly,

"It's… beautiful."

Ran nodded.

"And dangerous."

Aarav stepped forward.

But instead of calm—

His expression turned serious.

"The temple has started reacting again."

The blue light flickered.

The air grew colder.

The ground beneath them vibrated slightly.

Mariya looked at him.

"Because of Victor?"

Aarav nodded slowly.

"Yes."

"The dark forces are coming."

His voice became deeper.

"He has already touched the temple's core."

Ran clenched his sword.

"Then we're late."

Aarav shook his head.

"No."

"But we don't have much time."

The temple doors slowly opened.

A deep echo filled the mountain.

As if something inside had just awakened.

Mariya felt her crystal react again.

It pulsed rapidly.

Like a heartbeat.

Something inside the temple was calling her.

Suddenly—

A faint whisper echoed through the air.

"Guardian…"

Mariya froze.

"Did you hear that?"

Ran looked around.

"I didn't hear anything."

But Aarav did.

His eyes narrowed.

"The Ice Spirits…"

"They're waking up."

The temperature dropped even further.

The air turned heavy.

The light inside the temple began to change.

Blue… to dark blue.

Then—

Shadows moved inside.

Shapes forming slowly.

Ancient beings made of ice.

The guardians of the temple.

They had begun to awaken.

Aarav stepped forward.

"Stay close."

Ran and Mariya followed him inside.

The moment they crossed the entrance—

The doors behind them slammed shut.

BOOOOM!

The sound echoed like thunder.

Mariya turned quickly.

"We're trapped again…"

Ran sighed.

"Of course we are."

The inside of the temple was massive.

Endless halls made of shining ice.

Walls glowing with ancient energy.

But now—

Dark cracks spread across them.

Black energy moved slowly like poison.

Mariya touched the wall again.

This time—

The voices were louder.

"Save… us…"

Her eyes widened.

"They're suffering…"

Aarav nodded.

"Victor is corrupting the temple."

Suddenly—

The floor beneath them lit up.

Symbols activated.

CLICK!

The ground split into different paths again.

Ran looked down.

"Another test?"

Aarav shook his head.

"No…"

"This is not the temple."

"This is Victor's doing."

The air grew heavier.

Dark energy spread faster.

Then—

From the shadows—

The first Ice Spirit appeared.

But it wasn't pure.

Its body flickered between blue and black.

Its eyes glowed with corrupted energy.

It stared directly at them.

And then—

It screamed.

The battle inside the Ice Temple had begun again.

Awakening of the Ice Spirits

The corrupted Ice Spirit let out a terrifying scream.

Its voice echoed across the frozen hall like a broken cry.

Then—

It attacked.

The spirit moved unnaturally fast.

Its form flickered between solid ice and shadow.

Ran reacted instantly.

His sword flashed with blue Guardian energy.

CLASH!

The blade cut through the spirit.

But just like before—

It didn't disappear.

The dark energy pulled it back together.

Ran stepped back slightly.

"These things don't go down easy."

More shadows began forming around them.

One by one—

Dozens of Ice Spirits appeared from the walls.

Their glowing eyes locked onto the group.

Mariya felt her heart race.

"There are too many…"

Aarav stepped forward calmly.

His spear began glowing brighter.

"Then we fight smarter."

The spirits attacked together.

They moved like a wave of darkness.

Silent.

Deadly.

Ran dashed forward.

His movements were sharp and fast.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

He cut through multiple spirits.

But each one reformed again.

Aarav jumped into the air.

"Frost Break!"

CRASH!

A powerful blast of ice energy exploded outward.

Several spirits froze completely.

But within seconds—

Cracks formed.

They broke free again.

Aarav frowned.

"Even freezing them isn't enough…"

Mariya stepped forward slowly.

Her crystal pulsed strongly.

She could feel their pain.

Their fear.

Their trapped souls.

"They don't want to fight…"

She closed her eyes.

"I can feel it…"

The wind around her began to move.

But this time—

It carried cold energy.

Ice and wind merged together again.

A faint blue aura surrounded her.

Ran looked at her.

"Mariya…?"

She opened her eyes.

They glowed softly.

"I'll try to free them."

She raised her hand.

"Frost Wind… Purification!"

A gentle wave of cold wind spread across the hall.

It touched one of the corrupted spirits.

For a moment—

Nothing happened.

Then—

The dark energy around it began to fade.

The spirit's form stabilized.

Its eyes turned calm.

It looked at Mariya… and slowly bowed its head.

Then it disappeared peacefully.

Ran smiled.

"That worked!"

But suddenly—

The other spirits reacted violently.

They screamed louder.

As if something was controlling them.

Dark energy surged through the hall.

The walls cracked further.

Aarav's expression turned serious.

"He's interfering…"

Mariya clenched her hand.

"Victor…"

The spirits attacked again.

But this time—

They were stronger.

Faster.

More aggressive.

Ran stepped forward again.

"Keep doing what you're doing!"

"We'll hold them back!"

He charged into the swarm.

His sword glowed brighter than ever.

"Guardian Rush!"

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

He cut through spirit after spirit.

Aarav joined him.

His spear spun like a storm of ice.

"Frozen Strike!"

CRASH!

The battlefield turned chaotic.

Meanwhile—

Mariya focused deeper.

Her power continued growing.

More spirits were purified.

One by one—

They were freed.

But the process was slow.

Too slow.

Suddenly—

The entire temple shook violently.

BOOOOOM!

A massive wave of dark energy blasted through the hall.

All the spirits froze in place.

Even Ran and Aarav were pushed back.

Mariya staggered.

"What was that?!"

A deep voice echoed through the temple.

Cold.

Dark.

Familiar.

"You're interfering with my work."

Ran looked up sharply.

"Victor!"

The shadows at the far end of the hall began to move.

Dark energy gathered into one place.

The air became heavy.

The temperature dropped even further.

Aarav stepped forward.

"He's getting closer."

Mariya looked at the remaining spirits.

"They're still trapped…"

Aarav spoke firmly.

"Then we move forward."

Ran nodded.

"We'll stop Victor first."

"Then save the temple."

The path ahead slowly opened.

The spirits moved aside.

As if forced to let them pass.

Mariya took one last look at them.

"I'll come back for you…"

The spirits watched silently.

Then the group moved deeper into the Ice Temple.

Toward the source of the darkness.

Toward Victor.

The Core of the Ice Temple

The deeper they moved into the Ice Temple…

The heavier the air became.

The cold was no longer natural.

It felt controlled.

Twisted.

Alive.

Ran, Mariya, and Aarav walked carefully through a narrow crystal corridor.

The walls around them glowed faintly.

But now—

Dark cracks had spread everywhere.

Black energy flowed through them like veins.

Mariya placed her hand on the wall again.

This time—

The voices were louder.

Clearer.

"Help… us…"

Her eyes filled with concern.

"They're all trapped…"

Aarav nodded.

"Yes."

"The temple core is being corrupted."

They continued forward.

The corridor slowly widened.

The light ahead grew brighter.

But it wasn't pure blue anymore.

It was mixed with darkness.

Finally—

They reached it.

The Core Chamber.

Mariya gasped.

The chamber was massive.

At the center—

A gigantic floating crystal.

The true heart of the Ice Temple.

It pulsed with powerful energy.

Blue and black.

Light and darkness.

Fighting against each other.

Chains of dark energy wrapped around it.

Holding it down.

Controlling it.

Ran tightened his grip on his sword.

"So that's the core…"

Aarav stepped forward slowly.

His eyes locked onto the crystal.

"This is where the temple draws its power."

Mariya whispered,

"And Victor is corrupting it…"

Suddenly—

The crystal pulsed violently.

BOOM!

A shockwave of energy spread across the chamber.

The ground trembled.

The walls cracked further.

A deep voice echoed again.

"You shouldn't have come this far."

Dark energy gathered in front of the crystal.

Forming a shadow.

Slowly—

It took shape.

Victor stepped forward.

His presence was different now.

Stronger.

Darker.

More dangerous.

His eyes glowed with deep black energy.

And behind him—

The shadow of something massive flickered.

Ran stepped forward instantly.

"Victor!"

Victor smiled slightly.

"You're persistent."

Mariya glared at him.

"Stop this!"

"You're hurting the spirits!"

Victor looked at the floating crystal.

"They are nothing but energy."

"They exist to serve power."

Aarav raised his spear.

"You're wrong."

Victor's smile widened.

"No…"

"I'm evolving them."

The crystal pulsed again.

This time—

The dark energy grew stronger.

Mariya felt it.

The balance was breaking.

"Ran… if this continues…"

"The temple will fall."

Ran nodded.

"Then we stop him now."

He dashed forward.

His sword glowing bright blue.

"Guardian Strike!"

SLASH!

But Victor didn't move.

Instead—

A dark barrier appeared.

CRASH!

Ran's attack hit the barrier and exploded.

But it didn't break.

Ran landed back.

His expression serious.

"He's stronger…"

Victor raised his hand slowly.

The dark chains around the crystal tightened.

"I've already begun the ritual."

Aarav stepped forward.

"Ritual?"

Victor nodded.

"To control the Ice Temple completely."

He looked at Mariya.

"And once I do…"

"I will control every element."

Mariya clenched her fists.

"No… we won't let you."

Victor laughed softly.

"You're too late."

Suddenly—

The ground beneath them lit up.

Ancient symbols activated again.

But this time—

They were dark.

Corrupted.

Aarav's eyes widened.

"He's using the temple itself against us!"

The chamber shifted.

Energy gathered.

And then—

The crystal exploded with power.

BOOOOOOM!

A massive wave of energy blasted outward.

Ran, Mariya, and Aarav were pushed back.

When the light faded—

Something had changed.

The spirits around the chamber had transformed.

They were no longer just corrupted.

They had evolved.

Bigger.

Stronger.

More dangerous.

Mariya whispered,

"This is bad…"

Victor smiled.

"Welcome to the true power of the Ice Temple."

The final battle was getting closer

The Battle for the Ice Core

The Core Chamber trembled violently.

The massive crystal at the center pulsed with unstable energy.

Blue light and dark energy clashed within it like two opposing worlds.

And in front of it—

Victor stood calmly.

As if he already owned everything.

Ran tightened his grip on his sword.

"This ends now."

Victor smirked.

"You said that before."

But this time—

Ran didn't respond.

He moved.

Faster than before.

His body blurred through the cold air.

Blue energy exploded from his sword.

"Guardian Flash!"

SLASH!

The attack struck Victor directly.

For a moment—

The entire chamber froze.

Then—

BOOM!

A massive shockwave erupted.

Victor slid backward across the frozen floor.

His dark barrier cracked slightly.

Ran landed.

His eyes sharp.

"Got you."

Victor looked at his arm.

A small cut.

Dark energy leaked from it.

Then—

He smiled.

"Interesting."

The wound healed instantly.

Ran frowned.

"Of course…"

Victor raised his hand.

Dark energy gathered rapidly.

"Let me show you something new."

The shadows behind him began to expand.

They twisted.

Moved.

Then—

They formed something massive.

A giant dark figure made of shadow and ice.

Its eyes glowed like voids.

Mariya stepped back.

"What is that…?"

Aarav's expression hardened.

"His transformation…"

Victor spoke calmly.

"Welcome to my evolved form."

The dark creature roared.

The sound shook the entire chamber.

Ran raised his sword again.

"Big monster again… seriously?"

But before he could move—

The creature attacked.

It swung its massive arm.

BOOOOM!

Ran jumped back.

The ground shattered where the attack landed.

Ice and energy exploded everywhere.

Aarav stepped forward.

His spear glowed intensely.

"Stay focused!"

He dashed forward.

His movements were faster than ever.

"True Ice Guardian Style… Frozen Pierce!"

CRASH!

The spear struck the dark creature.

Ice spread across its body.

Freezing it partially.

But—

The dark energy broke through again.

The creature roared.

Mariya stepped forward.

Her aura flared brightly.

Wind and ice spiraled around her.

"I won't let you destroy this place!"

She raised both hands.

"Frost Wind Tempest!"

A massive storm formed inside the chamber.

Wind and ice collided together.

The attack slammed into the creature.

It staggered.

For the first time—

Victor took a step back.

Ran saw the opening.

"Now!"

He jumped high into the air.

His sword glowed brighter than ever before.

Energy gathered into a single point.

"Guardian Blade… Final Burst!"

SLAAAAASH!

The attack struck the dark creature directly.

A massive explosion filled the chamber.

BOOOOOOM!

The creature cracked.

Dark energy burst out from within it.

For a moment—

It looked like it would collapse.

But then—

Victor raised his hand again.

The crystal at the center reacted.

Dark chains tightened.

Energy flowed into the creature.

It regenerated.

Stronger than before.

Mariya gasped.

"He's using the core!"

Aarav shouted,

"Then we destroy the chains!"

Ran nodded instantly.

"Got it!"

They changed strategy.

Aarav rushed toward the crystal.

His spear glowing with full power.

"Frozen Break!"

CRASH!

He struck one of the dark chains.

It cracked.

But didn't break.

Victor's eyes narrowed.

"You think it's that easy?"

He moved instantly.

Appearing in front of Aarav.

Their weapons clashed.

CLANG!

The impact shook the chamber.

Ran rushed in to help.

But the dark creature blocked him.

Mariya focused deeply.

Her power surged.

"I have to do this…"

She closed her eyes.

Her energy expanded.

The wind slowed.

The ice condensed.

Everything around her became silent.

Then—

Her eyes opened.

Glowing bright blue.

"Divine Frost Wind… Awakening!"

A wave of pure energy exploded outward.

The entire chamber froze for a moment.

Even the dark energy slowed.

Aarav felt it.

"This power…"

Ran smiled.

"Now that's what I'm talking about!"

Mariya pointed toward the crystal.

"Together!"

All three attacked at once.

Ran slashed with full power.

Aarav thrust his spear.

Mariya released her energy.

BOOOOOOM!

The combined attack hit the dark chains.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

One by one—

The chains broke.

The crystal glowed brighter.

The dark energy weakened.

Victor stepped back.

For the first time—

His expression changed.

"You…!"

The dark creature behind him began to collapse.

Its form broke apart.

The energy feeding it was gone.

Ran pointed his sword at Victor.

"Game over."

Victor looked at them.

Then smiled again.

"Not yet."

Suddenly—

He disappeared into shadows.

The chamber went silent.

The crystal stabilized.

Blue light returned.

The Ice Spirits slowly calmed.

Mariya breathed heavily.

"Did… we win?"

Aarav shook his head.

"No."

"He retreated."

Ran sighed.

"Of course he did."

Aarav looked at the crystal.

"The temple is safe… for now."

Mariya looked ahead.

"But he'll come back."

Ran smiled confidently.

"Good."

"Next time… we finish it."

Far deep within the mountains—

A dark presence watched silently.

Victor was not done yet.

And neither were they.
