Chapter 15 - Chapter 15: Black Widow

Walking out of the Union Allied Construction company, Harry smiled relaxedly.

This feeling of using power to suppress others was quite nice—especially against these self-righteous, high-and-mighty fellows.

Perhaps this was the dark side of his heart.

"So, who are you?" Harry walked to the curb; he had noticed someone tailing him from the shadows long ago.

"Mr. Osborn is indeed no ordinary person." The speaker was an old woman, and a fellow countryman from Harry's previous life, Madam Gao. "You can call me Madam Gao, Kingpin's drug supplier."

"So, Madam Gao, what do you have to say?"

Harry wasn't at all surprised that the first person to betray Kingpin was this Madam Gao.

In fact, within Kingpin's criminal empire, the Hand represented by Madam Gao was a very unique group.

They weren't a gang in the true sense, but a highly organized ninja assassin group dedicated to expanding their influence in the shadows.

They possessed a special technology, or rather a resource—a dragon bone said to be capable of bringing the dead back to life. Utilizing the dragon bone, they had secretly formed unspeakable relationships with many high-ranking officials and nobles. In Hells Kitchen, the Rand Corporation was one such organization under their control.

Madam Gao used Kingpin's connections to run a drug trade in Hells Kitchen, relying on that money and power to search for the legendary dragon bone buried there.

Unfortunately, Harry had too many ways to deal with Kingpin, involving a wide range of official forces. It was pure power suppression, a dimensional strike—even the military was involved.

As Harry expected, Madam Gao had indeed come to defect.

"This evidence will become a sharp sword to destroy Kingpin's criminal empire, piercing straight into his vitals." Madam Gao didn't seem to like speaking English; she had a translator by her side. "As long as you can let us off the hook."

Harry smiled. This Madam Gao was sensible enough not to make any requests for Harry to help sell drugs.

But Harry had no interest in these underground deals. Although the drug trade had high profits, it wasn't sustainable and overstretched development potential. Long-term development relying on the system was Harry's plan.

He liked being a capitalist in heaven, not a petty tyrant in hell.

"Madam Gao, you don't really think I'll let you go, do you?" Harry spoke directly in Chinese. "Or do you think I'd be interested in those little businesses of yours?"

"I'm very fond of the idiom 'when the nest is overturned, no egg remains intact.' Now that I have the chance to cast you all into hell, why would I let you off? However, considering you've come to defect, I advise you to run while you can. If you run too late, you'll be going to prison."

As for the evidence—what a joke. In the current situation, sentencing Kingpin's crew to several hundred or even thousands of years wouldn't be a problem. Would he be lacking evidence?

"Madam Gao, if you and your forces can give up your illegal industries, I wouldn't mind letting you be a small contractor in Hells Kitchen. But do you even know how to operate legally? This is the United States, a modern democratic country governed by law, not some temple or feudal dynasty. I really suspect you were dug up from some ancient era."

In fact, Madam Gao really could be considered an antique dug up from some dynasty; because of the dragon bone, she had indeed lived for a very long time.

Ignoring Madam Gao's livid face, Harry left directly. Even if the Hand planned to target him, he wasn't afraid; he had been eyeing the dragon bone for a long time.

After walking a few steps, someone else appeared in the darkness. This time it was a girl with a hot figure and red hair.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow.

"Wow, on such a bloody night, to actually encounter such a beauty..." Harry took the initiative to approach. "Need me to take you home, baby?"

"Of course, if you're brave enough." Black Widow was indeed full of charm, making Harry's heart itch.

Many transmigrator predecessors kept a respectful distance from this Black Widow, but if there were a real chance, Harry really wanted to try.

Ahem, getting sidetracked.

"So, which side do you belong to? I need to know where I'm delivering you, my lady."

"Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division... ugh, forget that damn name. Agent Natasha, from a mysterious organization." The sexy Agent rolled her eyes halfway through the name, a sight that was quite refreshing.

"Opening up is the foundation of communication. You've completed the first step, why not be more honest?" Harry proactively put his arm around Natasha's waist. The two walked down the deserted street while buildings not far away were still burning.

"What do you want to know?" Harry wasn't entirely ignorant of Black Widow and S.H.I.E.L.D. After a busy day, he really wanted to go home, but with such an opportunity, he could stay busy a little longer.

"How did you get out of that building?" Natasha's Hand also moved up to touch him. "You seem even stronger than you look."

Despite these intimate gestures, Harry knew that this Black Widow was likely just gathering information.

This caused Harry's interest to gradually wane. He was eager to go home and have a candlelit dinner with Hurley.

After a few rounds of playing each other, Harry gradually lost interest in this Black Widow. He wasn't a simp and didn't fall for the hard-to-get act.

"So, Agent, what do you want with me? I don't think punishing evil and eliminating crime is worth a talk from any department. The FBI won't come looking for me either; I'm just the sponsor of the operation."

"Kingpin is a tough character, weighing over 400 pounds with more than 90% muscle. Saying he can lift a small car is no joke at all. How did you walk out of there? Are you really Captain America?"

As expected, these S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents had likely been watching him for a long time. However, before he was just a tech company owner and inventor, until killing Bullseye made them suspicious.

"Then we received reliable information saying you seem to have changed, Mr. Osborn." Natasha continued to run her Hands over Harry, which made him somewhat speechless.

But reliable information? Where did they get reliable information? It seemed his previous guess was correct.

To sense a man's intuitive physical changes, there were indeed other ways besides fighting.

"Reliable information, is it? Why not keep asking your reliable source?" Harry had no intention of admitting it, but he didn't deny it either.

Natasha looked thoughtful, but she had other things to say.

"How do you plan to handle Kingpin? He is very important. Even without him, a second Kingpin will appear."

Hearing this, Harry couldn't help but laugh out loud.

"Those words probably didn't come from you, did they?" Agents like Natasha generally don't need to, and wouldn't, think about problems this way. "Tell me, why do you think a capitalist country would need a feudal-style gang organization? Is it to highlight your incompetence?"

After speaking, Harry's driver arrived. Harry didn't intend to explain further and signaled the driver to leave. The driver was quite bewildered by this:

With such a beautiful girl, Harry actually just up and left without inviting her to discuss some business together?

And Natasha was also bewildered, but not because of what Harry said, but rather:

This guy just left me here? How is this different from what was in the intelligence? Is it that I can't compare to those young girls anymore?

To this, Harry still had the same response: he wasn't a simp and had no interest in being strung along.
