Chapter 14 - Blades Beneath the Veil

Princess Ratri, Prince Susim, and Kumar all reach the market in disguise.

The princess is dressed in red attire and has covered her face with a veil.

Prince Susim is wearing golden-colored women's clothing.

Kumar, too, has worn golden attire to impress Prince Susim.

The market is full of joy.

"It has been so long since we all attended such an event together, hasn't it, Ratri?"

"Yes, truly, it has been a long time since we visited such a market," Ratri replied.

"Hey Purva, what happened to you? Didn't you like coming to the market?"

"No, it's not like that, Kumar ji. It's just that this is my first time being part of such a grand gathering, so it all feels like a dream. I have never attended such events before."

"Then Purva, you should get used to such gatherings now, because you are our friend, and we will keep giving you such opportunities. Right, Ratri?"

"Of course. Purva is our dearest friend."

Just then, a soldier approaches them and says,

"Hey, what are you three doing here? Move aside. Guru Rambha's disciples are about to pass through here. Clear the way."

(The princess, getting angry) "These disciples of Guru Rambha…!"

"Hey, hey Ratri, calm down. What are you doing? We are here in disguise. Let's go over there."

After some time, Guru Rambha's disciples pass by in their chariot. As soon as they see Prince Susim, they stop.

"Stop!"

They come closer to him and say,

"Greetings, beautiful lady. What is your name?"

"Purva," he replies.

"Very beautiful. Come with us on our chariot. We will help you enjoy the entire market."

"There is no need for that. I have come here with my friends, and I will enjoy the market with them."

(They rudely grab his hand tightly) "Come along. You will enjoy more on the chariot, beautiful."

Seeing this, both the princess and Kumar become extremely angry. They draw their swords and behead the disciples instantly.

The people present there begin whispering among themselves,

"Who are these three who so easily beheaded Guru Rambha's disciples? We don't know what Guru Rambha will do to them now!"

"You both belong to the royal family, so nothing will happen to you. But I am just a maid. If Guru Rambha finds out, who knows what punishment I will receive!"

"Nothing will happen to you, Purva. You are our friend. If anyone even tries to harm you, they will meet the same fate as these men.

And as for Guru Rambha, we never liked him anyway. If he does anything to hurt you, we won't hesitate to behead him as well. Understood?"

"Yes, Princess."

"Come, let's go further into the market."

"Yes, Ratri, let's go. It will be more enjoyable there."

After enjoying the market, the three return to the palace in the evening.

When Guru Rambha learns about the incident, he becomes extremely furious and orders his soldiers to capture them and bring them before him.

The soldiers search the entire realm but cannot find the three anywhere.

When Guru Rambha hears this, he becomes suspicious and thinks to himself,

"Who in this Takshak realm would dare to behead my disciples? Could it be King Drishtadum, roaming here in disguise without my knowledge? I must speak to King Takshak about this immediately."

Guru Rambha goes to King Takshak and says,

"Greetings, Maharaj."

"Greetings, Gurudev. You here at this time? I was informed that you were at the monastery."

"You were informed correctly, Maharaj. I was at the monastery, but…"

"But what, Gurudev?"

(Angrily) "Maharaj, do you even know what is happening in your Takshak realm?"

"I don't understand, Gurudev. Why are you so angry?"

"A few days ago, you organized a grand event in the market, did you not?"

"Yes."

"At that event, my disciples had gone to participate, but they never returned. Do you know why?"

"Why, Gurudev?"

"Because they were beheaded by some people. And since then, there has been no information about them. This incident is an insult to both of us. If the culprits are not caught and punished quickly, people will stop respecting us, and your justice will also be questioned."

"Do not worry, Gurudev. Whoever they are, we will capture them and punish them appropriately. Please go and rest."

"Yes, Maharaj."

After hearing about the incident, King Takshak becomes extremely angry and summons the soldiers who were present at the scene.

The soldiers arrive, and based on their descriptions, the king has sketches of the three prepared.

He then orders these sketches to be distributed throughout the Takshak realm and announces a reward for anyone who provides information about them.
