Chapter 12 - crew

Chapter Eleven: The Chaos Crew

Morning sunlight streamed through the massive windows of Keifer's bedroom. Jay stirred first, blinking awake to find herself still wrapped in his arms. Still there. Still safe.

She smiled, pressing a soft kiss to his chest before carefully extracting herself.

He murmured in protest, arm reaching for her even in sleep.

"Shh," she whispered. "Just bathroom. Be right back."

He settled, still asleep.

She padded to the en-suite, smiling at the domesticity of it all. A week ago, she'd been a stranger to him. Now she was stealing his shirts and sneaking out of his bed.

Life was strange. Beautiful. Strange.

---

She emerged ten minutes later, hair brushed, face washed, wearing one of his shirts she'd found draped over a chair. It fell to mid-thigh, soft and worn and smelling like him.

He was still asleep. She stood there for a moment, just watching.

Then her phone buzzed.

C.N: Baby girl. Where are you? We're at your house and Tita Gemma says you're not here. Repeat. YOU'RE NOT HERE. Where is HERE?

Jay's heart leaped.

C.N. Her bestfriend. Her brother from another mother. The one person who'd been through everything with her.

She typed back quickly.

Jay: Long story. I'm safe. At a friend's house.

C.N: Friend. Sure. Send address. We're coming.

Jay: We?

C.N: David and Felix are with me. We missed you. Tita Gemma said you got hurt. We're coming. Address. Now.

She bit her lip. Keifer's mansion. Her three best friends—chaos incarnate—descending on his peaceful home.

This would be interesting.

She sent the address.

---

Thirty minutes later, Keifer woke to find her dressed in her own clothes, sitting on the edge of the bed, looking slightly nervous.

"Morning," he murmured, reaching for her.

"Morning." She took his hand. "So... I have a situation."

"Situation?"

"My best friends are coming."

He sat up slowly. "Best friends?"

"C.N. David. Felix. They're... a lot."

"How much is a lot?"

She thought about it. "Remember how Percy is?"

"Yes."

"Multiply by three. Add higher IQs and lower impulse control."

Keifer blinked. "That sounds terrifying."

"It is. But they're also the best people I know. They've been my family when I needed it most."

He pulled her close, kissed her temple. "Then they're welcome. All of them."

"You sure?"

"For you? Always."

---

They made their way downstairs together. The mansion was already awake—staff moving quietly, breakfast smells drifting from the kitchen. Percy's voice echoed from somewhere.

"—and THEN she said she'd stay forever and I WAS RIGHT, I CALLED IT—"

"You call everything," Aries responded.

"Because I'm always right!"

Yuri's voice joined. "Statistically, you're right about seventeen percent of the time."

"That's higher than I expected!"

Keifer and Jay exchanged amused glances.

---

The front doorbell rang.

Not the subtle chime of expected guests. This was a full-on assault—someone leaning on the button, holding it down, creating an endless echo through the marble halls.

Keifer raised an eyebrow. "C.N.?"

"How did you know?"

"Just a guess."

Staff rushed to open the door. Before it was fully open, three bodies burst through.

The first was tall, lean, with sharp eyes that missed nothing. He scanned the entrance in seconds, cataloging exits, people, potential threats. C.N. Peretta. Seventeen years old with an IQ that made him dangerous and a protective streak that made him lethal.

The second was built like a tank—broad shoulders, easy smile, eyes that crinkled when he laughed. Felix. The gentle giant who'd break your bones if you hurt someone he loved.

The third was all nervous energy, bouncing on his heels, taking in the mansion with obvious delight. David. Smartest of all of them, they claimed, though you'd never know it from his chaotic energy.

Their eyes found Jay simultaneously.

"BABY GIRL!"

C.N. reached her first, pulling her into a fierce hug. Then Felix wrapped both of them in his massive arms. David piled on top, creating a human pile of love and chaos.

"You got HURT," C.N. growled into her hair. "You didn't CALL. Tita Gemma had to tell us."

"I'm fine—"

"Fine? FINE? You were in the HOSPITAL!"

"It was one night—"

"ONE NIGHT TOO MANY!"

Felix pulled back, examining her bandages with worried eyes. "Head? Hand? You okay?"

"I'm okay. Really. Just some scrapes."

David poked her gently. "You look okay. Pretty as always. Scary as always. Good."

She laughed, swatting his hand. "Thanks... I think?"

---

C.N. finally released her, eyes narrowing as he took in the surroundings. Then his gaze landed on Keifer.

And froze.

"Wait."

Jay looked between them. "What?"

C.N.'s expression shifted through several stages—recognition, disbelief, calculation, amusement.

"Mark Keifer Watson," he said slowly. Then he grinned. "KEIF! You dog! You didn't tell me you'd met my baby girl!"

Jay's jaw dropped. "Wait. You KNOW him?"

C.N. laughed, crossing to Keifer and pulling him into a back-slapping hug. "Know him? We've been best friends for years! His grandfather helped my family build our business. Keif and I go way back!"

Keifer was grinning—actually grinning. "C.N. Good to see you, man."

"You too! Though I didn't expect to find you with MY best friend in YOUR bed." He turned to Jay. "Baby girl, you've been holding out on me."

Jay's mouth opened and closed. "I—you—he—"

Felix stepped forward, also grinning. "Keif! Long time no see!" He pulled the smaller man into a bear hug that lifted him off the ground.

"Felix! Put me down!"

"Never! You're getting skinny. Need more food."

David bounced over. "KEIFER! Bro! How's business? How's Keiran? How's Keigan? How's—" He spotted Jay. "Wait. You two? Together? This is AMAZING!"

Jay stared at all of them. "You're ALL friends? Since WHEN?"

C.N. slung an arm around Keifer's shoulders. "Since forever, baby girl. We just... never mentioned it?"

"Why would you never mention it?!"

"Didn't come up?"

"I talk about you CONSTANTLY!"

C.N. shrugged unapologetically. "I talk about Keif constantly too. You just... never connected the dots?"

Jay turned to Keifer. "You knew? All this time, you knew my best friends were YOUR best friends?"

Keifer had the grace to look slightly guilty. "I... might have recognized the names. When you mentioned them. But I wasn't sure if they were the same C.N., Felix, and David. And then everything happened so fast—"

"You should have TOLD me!"

"When? Between the elevator and the accident and Keiran adopting you and my house being invaded?"

She opened her mouth. Closed it. He had a point.

C.N. laughed loudly. "Oh, this is PERFECT. You two are PERFECT. I'm so happy I could cry."

"Don't cry," Felix warned. "You're ugly when you cry."

"Am not!"

"Are too."

"Am NOT!"

David pulled out his phone. "I'm documenting this for posterity. Jay's face right now is PRICELESS."

---

Before anyone could respond, Percy appeared from the hallway. He took one look at the scene and burst out laughing.

"C.N.! Felix! David! The gang's all here!" He ran at them, tackling all three in a group hug.

"Percy!" C.N. laughed. "Missed you, chaos monster!"

"Missed you too, genius boy!"

Aries appeared next, smiling warmly. "C.N. Good to see you. Felix. David."

They pulled apart, greeting him with equal enthusiasm. Yuri wandered in, phone already raised.

"Documentation. C.N., Felix, and David arriving. The reunion. This is gold."

Jay watched her best friends seamlessly integrate with Keifer's best friends. They moved like family—because apparently, they WERE family. All this time. All these years.

She grabbed Keifer's arm. "Explain. Now."

He smiled apologetically. "C.N.'s family and mine go way back. His grandfather and mine were business partners. We grew up together. Felix and David came later—through C.N., through school, through life. They've been my friends for years."

"And you never thought to mention that my best friends were your best friends?"

"It never came up! You talked about C.N., Felix, and David. I assumed they were different people. Common names. And then when I realized—" He shrugged. "It was already too late. You were already in my bed. Keiran was already calling you Mamma. I didn't know how to bring it up."

She stared at him. Then, despite everything, she laughed.

"This is insane."

"Completely."

"My life is insane."

"Ours now. Our insane."

She shook her head, smiling. "I can't even be mad. This is too ridiculous."

"That's the spirit."

---

The front doorbell rang again.

Jay looked up. "Now what?"

C.N. grinned. "That might be my fault."

"WHAT did you do?"

"Invited the girls? They wanted to see you? And I might have told them where you were?"

Jay's phone buzzed simultaneously.

Ella: Girl. We're outside. This mansion is HUGE. Open up.

Rakii: I'm already taking photos. The architecture is AMAZING.

Mica: Is the hot CEO there? Asking for science.

Freya: Stop texting and open the DOOR.

Honey: I brought snacks! And judgment! Let us in!

Jay looked at Keifer. "My girl friends are here."

Keifer's expression flickered—recognition, amusement, something else. "Your girl friends?"

"Ella. Rakii. Mica. Freya. Honey. My best friends. The ones I've known forever."

Keifer exchanged a glance with C.N., who was grinning wider.

"What?" Jay demanded.

C.N. shrugged. "Nothing. Just... open the door."

---

The door opened to reveal five girls in various states of excitement.

Ella led the charge—tall, confident, eyes sharp. She took in the mansion with a sweeping glance and nodded approvingly. "Nice. Very nice."

Rakii followed, already snapping photos. "This place is insane. INSANE. Jay, you didn't tell us you were moving into a palace."

"I'm not moving—"

Mica pushed past both of them, heading straight for the interior. "Where's the hot CEO? I need to assess him for myself."

Freya grabbed her arm. "MICA. Manners."

"I have manners! They're just... selective."

Honey brought up the rear, sweet-faced and smiling, but her eyes missed nothing. "Jay! You're okay! We were so worried!"

Jay found herself engulfed in a group hug—five girls all talking at once, touching her bandages, demanding details, offering commentary.

"Your head!"

"Your hand!"

"That hospital must have been terrible."

"Is that the hot CEO behind you?"

"OH MY GOD IT IS."

---

Jay turned to find Keifer standing behind her. But before she could introduce them—

Ella's face lit up. "KEIFER!"

She ran past Jay and threw her arms around him.

Jay's jaw dropped.

Rakii followed, also hugging him. "Long time no see, handsome!"

Mica grabbed his face, examining him. "Still hot. Good genes."

Freya hugged him more sedately. "Keif. Good to see you."

Honey bounced over, kissing his cheek. "KEIF! It's been forever! How are you? How's Keiran? How's Keigan?"

Jay stood frozen, watching her five best friends greet Keifer like—like—

Like they'd known him forever.

Because apparently, they HAD.

---

Keifer caught her eye over Honey's shoulder, looking slightly apologetic. "Jay. I can explain."

"Again?" Her voice was strangled.

C.N. appeared beside her, laughing. "Surprise, baby girl! Your best friends are also Keifer's best friends! Small world, huh?"

Ella turned, grinning. "Jay, your face! It's PRICELESS!"

"You ALL know him?" Jay's voice rose. "ALL of you?"

Rakii nodded. "For years! Keif's family and mine go way back. Our parents were friends."

Mica shrugged. "We've known him since we were kids. He's like a brother to us."

Freya smiled softly. "He's family, Jay. Just like you."

Honey bounced. "This is so perfect! Our best friend and our other best friend! Together! It's like a dream!"

Jay looked at Keifer. "You knew. When I mentioned their names—you KNEW."

"I... suspected. Ella, Rakii, Mica, Freya, Honey—they're not exactly common combinations. But I wasn't sure until they walked in." He stepped toward her. "Jay, I'm sorry. I should have said something."

"You should have!"

"I know. But every time I tried, something happened. The elevator. The accident. Keiran. Your family. There was never a good moment."

She stared at him. At her friends, who were watching with varying degrees of amusement and concern.

Then she laughed.

Actually laughed.

"This is the most ridiculous thing that's ever happened to me."

C.N. cheered. "She's taking it well!"

"I'm not taking it well! I'm in shock!"

Ella wrapped an arm around her. "Shock is the first stage. Then acceptance. Then you realize this is actually amazing."

"How is this amazing?"

"Because now we're ALL family. No more splitting time. No more 'my friends' and 'his friends.' Just... everyone."

---

Aries stepped forward, moving toward Ella with a soft smile. "You made it."

Ella's entire face transformed. "Wouldn't miss it." She walked into his open arms, and he kissed her like they hadn't seen each other in weeks—which, Jay realized, they probably hadn't.

Jay's jaw dropped again. "Wait. ARIES? And ELLA?"

Ella pulled back, grinning. "Surprise! We've been together for two years."

"TWO YEARS?"

"You were busy! It never came up!"

Jay turned to Keifer. "You knew?"

"I might have suspected."

---

Before she could process, Percy appeared beside Honey, sliding an arm around her waist like it was the most natural thing in the world. Honey leaned into him, smiling up at him with obvious adoration.

Jay pointed at them. "And YOU TWO?"

Percy grinned. "Honey's my girlfriend, baby sista. Has been for eight months."

"EIGHT MONTHS?"

Honey shrugged sweetly. "We wanted to tell you. But Percy wanted to do it dramatically. He's been waiting for the right moment."

Percy nodded. "This is pretty dramatic, right? Mansion reveal? Best friend connection? Very dramatic."

Jay couldn't even form words.

---

C.N. appeared beside Rakii, pulling her close. Rakii tucked herself against him, still snapping photos with her other hand.

Jay stared. "C.N. Rakii?"

C.N. smirked. "Who do you think takes all those photos of us? She's been my girlfriend for a year, baby girl."

"A YEAR?"

Rakii smiled. "We didn't want to make it weird. You're both our best friends. We were waiting for the right time."

Jay's brain was short-circuiting.

---

David bounced over to Freya, who looked up from her book with a soft smile. He kissed her cheek, and she actually blushed.

Jay pointed weakly. "David? Freya?"

David beamed. "Best decision I ever made. She's my everything."

Freya smiled quietly. "We've been together ten months. You were so busy with work and life... we didn't want to overwhelm you."

"Overwhelm?" Jay's voice was strangled. "This is—I'm—"

---

Mica was looking around, confused. "Wait. Where's Calix?"

Jay blinked. "Calix?"

"My boyfriend. He was supposed to meet me here." Mica pulled out her phone. "He's probably lost. He's always lost."

Felix, standing nearby, looked down at his feet. Something flickered across his face—too quick to read—before he masked it with his usual easy smile.

"CALIX!" Mica yelled toward the door. "GET IN HERE!"

A moment later, a man appeared in the doorway—tall, handsome, with an easy confidence. Calix. He spotted Mica and grinned.

"Sorry, babe. Got lost. This place is huge."

Mica launched herself at him. He caught her easily, spinning her around.

Jay watched Felix's expression carefully this time. There it was again—a flash of something. Longing? Sadness? Resignation?

Then it was gone.

Felix clapped Calix on the shoulder as he passed. "Good to see you, man."

"You too, Felix." Calix grinned, completely oblivious. "Still single?"

"Still single," Felix confirmed, voice even.

Mica tugged Calix toward the group. "Okay, introductions! Jay, this is Calix. My boyfriend. Calix, this is Jay. The one I'm always talking about."

Jay shook his hand, distracted. "Nice to meet you."

"You too! Mica never shuts up about you." He grinned. "All good things, promise."

---

Jay looked around at the pairs.

Aries with Ella. Percy with Honey. C.N. with Rakii. David with Freya. Mica with Calix.

And Felix. Alone.

Her heart squeezed.

Felix caught her eye and smiled—that same warm, genuine smile he always had. But she knew him too well. She saw the shadow behind it.

She made a mental note to check on him later.

---

The next hour was chaos of the highest order.

Everyone talked at once. Stories were exchanged. Old memories revisited. Jay learned things about her friends she'd never known—their connections to Keifer, to his family, to each other.

Ella had been at Keifer's grandfather's funeral with Aries. Rakii had helped C.N. design Keiran's nursery. Mica had taught Keigan how to skateboard with Calix spotting. Freya and David had been there when Keifer first held Keiran as a newborn. Honey had baked cookies for Percy to give to Keifer during hard times.

"They're your family," Jay said softly, watching them interact.

Keifer nodded. "They've always been there. Through everything. Losing my grandfather. Raising Keigan. Keiran being born. All of it." He looked at her. "And now they're your family too. They always were. We just didn't know it."

"And they're all dating each other. Except Felix."

"Except Felix," Keifer agreed quietly. "He's been through some stuff. Doesn't talk about it."

"We need to take care of him."

"We will. Together."

---

Felix, meanwhile, was making himself useful—helping in the kitchen, entertaining Keiran, fixing something that had broken in the game room. Always moving. Always helping. Never still.

Jay watched him with worried eyes.

C.N. appeared beside her. "You noticed too?"

"Hard not to."

"He's been like this for a while. Since—" C.N. shook his head. "Doesn't matter. He'll talk when he's ready."

"And until then?"

"We love him. Include him. Make sure he knows he's not alone." C.N. squeezed her shoulder. "Like we always do."

---

Percy, meanwhile, had gathered everyone for some kind of announcement.

"OKAY, EVERYONE! Since we're all here—ALL of us, finally, together—I think we need to acknowledge something."

"What?" C.N. asked warily.

"That Jay and Keif are the last ones. The only ones who weren't already together. WE'VE all been paired up for months or years. They're the newbies."

Mica laughed from Calix's arms. "He's right! They're the babies!"

"We are NOT babies," Jay protested.

"You're the newest couple," Rakii said, snapping a photo. "That makes you babies."

Keifer looked at Jay. "I don't mind being a baby with you."

She groaned. "That's cheesy."

"True, though."

Ella grinned. "They're cute. I ship it."

"Seconded," Honey added.

"Thirded," Freya said quietly.

"Motion carries," C.N. declared. "Jay and Keif are officially the baby couple of the group."

Jay buried her face in Keifer's chest. He laughed, holding her close.

---

Lunch was an event.

The dining room table, which had felt massive with just the core group, now overflowed with people. Jay sat between Keifer and C.N. Keiran on her lap, as always. Keigan beside his brother, watching the chaos with amused detachment.

Conversation flowed in every direction. Ella was deep in discussion with Aries about business. Rakii was showing everyone her photos. Mica was draped across Calix, eating from his plate. Freya was reading quietly, occasionally leaning into David. Honey was feeding Percy grapes, which he accepted with exaggerated gratitude.

Felix sat at the end of the table, making everyone laugh with stories, deflecting any questions about himself with practiced ease.

C.N. caught Jay's eye and shook his head slightly. Not now.

She nodded. Later.

---

After lunch, the chaos moved to the living room.

Percy had started some kind of game. Teams were forming. Arguments were happening. Yuri was filming everything, occasionally narrating like a sportscaster.

Jay found herself momentarily alone on a couch, watching the madness.

Keifer appeared beside her. "Overwhelmed?"

"You keep asking that."

"Because you keep looking overwhelmed."

She laughed. "Happy overwhelmed. There's a difference."

He sat close, their thighs touching. "Good difference?"

"The best."

They watched Percy lose spectacularly at whatever game they were playing. David celebrated. C.N. looked smug. Ella kept score. Rakii documented. Mica cheated openly with Calix's help. Freya pretended not to notice. Honey cheered for everyone, especially Percy.

Felix was in the middle of it all, laughing hardest of anyone.

"Jay?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you. For today. For all of this."

She looked at him. "For what?"

"For bringing them here. For letting them in. For—" He gestured at the chaos. "This. My house has never been this alive. This happy."

"Your house was already happy. You have Keiran. Keigan."

"Different happy. This is..." He searched for words. "Full. Complete. All my favorite people in one place. And the person I'm falling for right beside me."

She leaned into him. "I know what you mean."

---

Later, much later, something shifted.

Ella was talking to Keifer—just normal conversation, laughing at something he said. Jay watched from across the room, and something flickered in her chest.

Jealousy.

Actual jealousy.

She barely recognized the feeling. She'd never been the jealous type. But watching Ella—beautiful, confident Ella—laugh with HER Keifer made something hot and uncomfortable twist in her stomach.

Before she knew what she was doing, she was crossing the room.

Sliding up beside him.

Wrapping an arm around his waist.

"Hey," she said, smiling up at him.

He looked down at her, surprised but pleased. "Hey yourself."

"Missed you."

"I was right there."

"Too far."

Ella raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "Someone's possessive."

Jay shrugged, unapologetic. "He's mine."

Keifer's smile could have lit the entire mansion.

---

Aries appeared beside them, having witnessed the entire exchange. He leaned close to Jay, voice low.

"Jealous, troublemaker?"

She shot him a look. "No."

"Definitely jealous. You just staked your claim like a territorial cat."

"I did not—"

"You absolutely did. And it was adorable." He smirked. "But don't worry. Ella's mine. Has been for two years. You know this now."

Jay's face went red. "I know that NOW."

Aries laughed. "You got jealous over nothing."

"I did not get—"

"Percy! Tell Jay what just happened!"

Percy appeared instantly, drawn by drama like a moth to flame. "What happened? What'd I miss?"

"Jay just got jealous of Ella. Forgot Ella was with me."

Percy's face lit up. "NO! Baby sista! You're jealous? Over KEIF? With ELLA? That's—" He dissolved into laughter.

---

But Jay recovered quickly.

"If we're talking about jealousy," she said sweetly, "let's talk about you and Honey."

Percy's laughter cut off instantly. "What?"

"Honey. Your girlfriend. The one you've been attached to all day. The one you keep looking at like she hung the moon."

Percy's face went red. "That's different—"

"How is it different?"

"Because—because—" He sputtered.

Honey appeared beside him, sliding an arm around his waist. "Because he's adorable when he's jealous too." She smiled at Jay. "He got jealous of Yuri last week. YURI. Because I laughed at one of his jokes."

Percy groaned. "Honey—"

"It's cute. Own it."

---

Across the room, Rakii was showing C.N. something on her phone. He pulled her closer, kissing her temple.

David had Freya tucked against his side, both of them reading from her book.

Mica was on Calix's lap, completely comfortable.

Felix sat slightly apart, watching them all with a soft smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

Jay's heart ached for him.

---

Dinner was even more chaotic than lunch.

The kitchen staff had somehow produced a feast. People squeezed in everywhere. Stories flew across the table. Laughter echoed off the walls.

Jay sat at one end, Keifer beside her. Keiran on her lap, as always. Keigan had somehow ended up between all the girls, looking flustered but pleased by the attention.

Percy was holding court at the other end, though he kept glancing toward Honey, who smiled sweetly every time.

C.N. had somehow acquired a whiteboard and was diagramming something. Felix and David were arm-wrestling. Ella kept score. Rakii filmed. Mica cheered with Calix. Freya pretended to read but was definitely watching. Yuri had given up on filming and just enjoyed the chaos.

It was chaos. Beautiful, loud, overwhelming chaos.

Jay looked around the table—at her chosen family, her blood family, the man beside her, his brothers, all of them intertwined in ways she'd never imagined.

Then she looked at Felix, laughing at something David said, and made a silent promise.

She'd be there for him. They all would.

---

After dinner, as the chaos continued into the evening, Jay found Felix alone on the balcony.

"Hey," she said softly, joining him.

He turned, surprised. "Jay. Shouldn't you be inside with Keif?"

"He's inside with everyone. I wanted to check on you."

"I'm fine."

"Felix." She looked at him. "I've known you too long. You're not fine."

He was quiet for a long moment. Then he sighed.

"It's nothing. Just... watching everyone. Being happy for them. And wondering if—" He shook his head. "Never mind."

"If what?"

"If I'll ever have that. Someone who looks at me like Honey looks at Percy. Like Ella looks at Aries. Like Mica looks at Calix."

Jay's heart broke. "Felix—"

"I know. It'll happen when it's supposed to. I know all the sayings." He smiled, but it was sad. "Some days are just harder than others."

She hugged him—fierce and tight. He hugged her back, careful not to hurt her.

"You're not alone," she whispered. "You know that, right? You have all of us. Always."

"I know." He pulled back, smiling more genuinely now. "Now go back inside before Keifer sends a search party."

"He wouldn't—"

"He definitely would. Look."

She turned. Keifer stood in the doorway, watching them with a soft expression. Not jealous. Just... checking.

Felix waved. "She's fine. Just giving me life advice."

Keifer nodded. "Good. She's good at that."

Jay walked back to him, slipping her hand into his. "You okay?"

"Yeah. Just making sure you were okay."

"I'm okay. He's not, though."

"I know." Keifer looked past her at Felix, still standing alone on the balcony. "We'll work on that. Together."

"Together," she agreed.

---

Later, much later, the chaos began to settle.

C.N. and Rakii disappeared toward the guest wing, hand in hand. David and Freya followed, quiet and content. Mica and Calix said goodnight with a kiss that made Yuri fake-gag. Percy and Honey followed shortly after, whispering and laughing.

Aries pulled Ella close, murmuring something that made her smile.

Yuri finally stopped filming and crashed on a couch. Keigan disappeared to his room with a quiet goodnight.

Felix said goodnight with a smile and a wave, disappearing into his own room alone.

Keiran had fallen asleep on Jay's lap hours ago, Rex clutched in his arms.

Jay carried him upstairs, Keifer beside her. They tucked him in together—a silent, perfect routine.

Standing in the hallway afterward, they looked at each other.

"Your room or mine?" she asked softly.

"Ours," he said. "If you want."

She smiled. "I want."

---

They ended up in his room. Because it smelled like him. Because his bed was bigger. Because it felt right.

Sleep didn't come immediately.

They lay facing each other, close enough to feel each other's breath.

"Today was insane," she whispered.

"The best kind of insane."

"Everyone got along."

"Everyone loves you. That makes it easy."

She touched his face, tracing his features in the dark. "Except Felix. He's hurting."

"I know."

"We need to help him."

"We will. But not tonight. Tonight, he knows we're here. That's enough for now."

She nodded, tucking herself against his chest. "You're right."

"I usually am."

"Cocky."

"Confident."

She laughed softly. "I love you."

The words slipped out before she could stop them.

He went still. Then his arms tightened around her.

"I love you too, Jay. More than I knew I could love anything."

She kissed him—soft, sweet, full of promise.

---

They slept wrapped around each other, two people who'd found something unexpected and beautiful.

The chaos waited outside the door.

But inside, there was only peace.

---

Morning

Jay woke to an empty bed.

For a moment, panic flickered. Then she heard the sounds—laughter from downstairs, Keiran's squeal, Percy's distinctive yell, Honey's giggle.

She smiled, stretched carefully, and went to find her people.

The kitchen was chaos.

C.N. had somehow taken over coffee duty and was distributing mugs with precision, Rakii documenting his every move. Felix was helping the chef cook breakfast, laughing at something David said. David was attempting to teach Keigan some kind of game while Freya watched fondly. Mica was on Calix's back, both of them stealing food from the counter.

The girls were everywhere—Ella organizing with Aries, Rakii photographing, Mica still on Calix, Freya reading in a corner but watching David, Honey playing with Keiran while Percy made exaggerated animal sounds.

And Keifer stood in the middle of it all, looking slightly overwhelmed but deeply, genuinely happy.

He saw her and smiled.

That smile.

"Morning," he said as she approached.

"Morning." She rose on her toes, kissed him without hesitation. "Missed you."

"Was gone twenty minutes."

"Too long."

He laughed, pulling her close. "Never too long. Never again."

Percy's voice cut through. "GET A ROOM! Oh wait, you have one. Use it AFTER breakfast. I'm hungry AND emotionally overwhelmed AND in love."

Honey appeared beside him, patting his cheek. "So dramatic."

"YOU love it."

"I do."

---

Jay looked around—at her family, her friends, the man she was falling for, the life she never expected.

Her eyes found Felix, laughing in the kitchen, surrounded by people who loved him.

He caught her gaze and smiled—warm, genuine, okay for now.

She smiled back.

They'd take care of him. All of them. Together.

"This is crazy," she murmured.

Keifer kissed her forehead. "Our crazy."

"Yeah." She smiled. "Our crazy."

C.N. appeared beside them, coffee in hand. "Group photo! Everyone! Now!"

They gathered—all of them, together. Aries with Ella, Percy with Honey, C.N. with Rakii, David with Freya, Mica on Calix's shoulders, Felix in the middle with his arm around Keigan, Yuri with his phone (someone else was finally filming him), Keiran in Jay's arms.

And Jay and Keifer in the center, surrounded by everyone they loved.

Rakii set the timer and ran to join C.N.

The photo captured a moment of perfect chaos—everyone laughing, talking, being themselves.

Jay looked at it afterward, tears in her eyes.

"Look at us," she whispered.

Keifer pulled her close. "Yeah. Look at us."

"All of us. Together."

"Finally together."

She looked up at him. "I love you."

He kissed her, right there in front of everyone.

No one teased. No one filmed.

They just smiled.

Because this—this chaos, this family, this love—was exactly what they'd all been waiting for.

Even Felix, standing slightly apart, was smiling.

And that was enough.

For now.
