The MESS system of powers classified superpowers into four categories:
1. Magic: beliefs and actions employed to influence supernatural beings and forces, beliefs and actions employed to influence supernatural beings and forces and the belief that unrelated events are causally connected, particularly as a result of supernatural effects. High magic is based on the supernaturality, while low magic is sub types of magic based on humanity.
Types of High Magic:
1. Apotropaic magic: Type of magic intended to turn away harm or evil influences
2. Black magic: Magic practiced outside Europe affiliated with the mythologies and religions of members of United Countries
3. Ceremonial magic: Magic based on rules and laws
4. Chaos magic: Magic which is unpredictable and chaotic in nature
5. Grey magic: Non-religious and secular magic practiced outside Europe.
6. Natural magic: magic that deals with natural forces, nature and elements
7. Sympathetic magic: Type of magic based on imitation or correspondence.
8. White Magic: Religious and permitted magic only practiced in Europe
Types of Middle Magic:
1. Inherent Gift: Magic of users unique from birth
2. Rule Magic: Magic based on and enforces rules
3. Force Magic: Magic that tap into and control or weave together forces.
4. Device Magic: Magic performed with devices and relics.
5. Ritual Magic: Magic that is performed in rituals.
6. Vancian Magic: Magic whose effects are packaged into distinct spells; each spell has its own specific, fixed purpose which must be prepared in advance of actual use, and each prepared spell can be used a limited number of times before needing to be prepared again and a finite capacity of prepared spells.
7. Language Magic: The use of a specific language to control and shape magical effects.
8. Wild Magic: Magic that is sentient and has thoughts.
9. Pact Magic: Magic that is granted by entering into a pact, a contract, or a deal.

Types of Low Magic:
1. Stage illusion: Magic that can distort the human senses at a large area of effect. The most dangerous type of types, the aftereffects are severe sensory deprivation
2. Parlor Magic: Type of magic with medium to large-scale effects on victims except illusions.
3. Close-up Magic: Magic that is used at the tiniest area of effect which is safe and gives efficiency in everyday life.
4. Escapology: magic that deals with escapes from confinement or restraints.
5. Pickpocket magic: Magic that misdirects victims while removing the victims' possessions
6. Mentalism: Creates the impression in the minds of the victims that the user possesses special powers to read thoughts, predict events, control other minds, and similar feats.
7. Séance: Simulate spiritualistic or mediumistic phenomena
8. Children's magic: Premature magic used by children, which is dangerous because children are hard to fool, because they watch closely and don't listen.
9. Online magic: Known as technomagic or digital magic, this type of magic is designed to function on software and digital technologies.
10. Theatrical magic: Type of magic that is harmless and can spare time and efficiency on audio, visual and special effects for theatre and performing arts.
11. Mathemagic: Application of mathematics to decipher magical mechanics and magical systems while is an application of magic that deals with magical theorems, axioms, lemmas, equations, paradoxes and formulas.
12. Corporate magic: Magic requiring two or more people to perform this type of magic and combine their powers

14. Gospel magic: Magic that focus on restoration and moral purposes.
