Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Lottery, Lottery, Lottery

Piltover, Rich District.

Colin Workshop.

Opening the back door, Duke entered the workshop courtyard, then closed the back door and headed straight for his attic. Instead of buying materials first, he chose to go home.

After all, he now held a large sum of money. He had to spend some, he couldn't let down Mr. Colin's kindness!

As for buying materials?

That could wait, because he planned to buy materials in Undercity. There he could find places where prices were cheap, quantities were sufficient, and he could even get kickbacks.

Although many of them were stolen goods, for him now, every penny had to be spent wisely.

The newly acquired coins, after their wealth value was absorbed, were used for a lottery draw, and the coins from which wealth value had been extracted were then used to purchase materials.

Although he still didn't know how much money would be spent on the Clockwork Armor, it was always right to be frugal.

As for Colin and his daughter?

A concert would take at least three hours, with large concerts starting at five hours and even having a storyline.

He had plenty of time.

Returning to the attic, Duke first opened the window, then pulled off the tie from his neck; the thing was too tight and made him uncomfortable.

Taking out the money bag Colin had given him, Duke directly spilled its contents into the table drawer.

After carefully counting the amount, Duke rubbed his hands together.

"I'm rich now!"

"A full one hundred golden sea.

According to the one-to-ten exchange rate during the novice protection period, I can draw ten times.

Although it's the lowest tier, I refuse to believe my luck is so bad that I won't get a single item!"

Duke absorbed the wealth value from each coin one by one, then put the absorbed coins back into the bag.

In the blink of an eye, his wealth value increased from 25 to 1025.

"System, lottery!"

Looking at the krypton Jinchi (Krypton Gold Pool) where fine Water mist crept, Duke started the lottery draw without hesitation.

"One hundred per draw, ten consecutive draws!"

After receiving Duke's command, all the light spheres floating in the krypton Jinchi (Krypton Gold Pool) were covered by a layer of fine golden Water mist, and at the same time, bright lights burst forth from the krypton Jinchi (Krypton Gold Pool) one after another.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh.....

Ten White prize balls marked with question marks leaped out of the Water mist, one after another, exploding in front of Duke.

[You obtained: Batarang]

[You obtained: T-800's Ammo Belt]

[You obtained: Bumblebee's Discarded Tire]

[You obtained: Superman's Wisdom Tooth]

[You obtained: Super Soldier Serum]

[You obtained: Teen Titan Autographed Poster]

[You obtained: Sorcerer Supreme's Rune Handbook (Incomplete)]

[You obtained: Fragment of the Loom of Destiny]

[Given that this is your first draw, the 10x10 item slot has been opened.]

After all ten White question mark prize balls from the consecutive draw shattered, Duke's expression was incredibly vivid, sometimes gritting his teeth, sometimes beaming with joy.

Ultimately, all ten prizes lay in his newly opened item slot.

"This is truly exciting!"

Looking at the ten prizes quietly resting in the item slot, Duke casually took one out.

A poster, half a person tall, appeared in his hand.

When he unfolded it, it clearly showed several young heroes of the Teen Titan, each with a corresponding handwritten signature.

"Trash!"

Duke took out another item after casually rolling up and throwing the previous one into the trash can: Harley's baseball bat, covered in graffiti, looking very vibrant.

"Maybe Jinx would like it, but for me, it doesn't fit my aesthetic. I'll keep it for now!"

"Bullet band, trash!"

"Bumblebee's discarded tire?" Looking at the old tire with a twisted rim in his inventory, Duke curled his lip, "It's still trash. I'd rather have Bumblebee's blueprint!"

"Batarang, a disposable item, a piece of junk I wouldn't even bother picking up if I dropped it!"

"Spider Silk Bomb?"

Duke took out a red sphere the size of a baby's fist, with Spider-Man's spider emblem on it and covered in Spider Silk patterns, and played with it for a moment.

"Perhaps I can decompose the Spider Silk components from it to replicate Spider Silk. It's of medium value and could be applied to some non-lethal weapons. Selling a patent for it wouldn't be bad either."

After playing with the Spider Silk Bomb for a moment, Duke carefully put the bomb away, then took out a clean wisdom tooth. This wisdom tooth showed no signs of yellowing, looking as fresh as if it had just been extracted.

"Superman's wisdom tooth, the system really has a twisted sense of humor!"

Looking at the wisdom tooth on his fingertip, Duke suddenly became interested. He pushed the table, and the high stool slid to the workbench. He rummaged through a box and took out some tools.

"Maybe I can do this..."

After Duke worked on Superman's wisdom tooth for five minutes, he had a simple cutter in his hand. Such cutters are generally used for cutting glass or thin, brittle metal plates. The cutting head is usually made of a dense, hard mineral like diamond.

But now, Duke had replaced the cutting head with Superman's wisdom tooth.

Duke took out a Batarang and fixed it on the table. With the cutter in place, Duke lightly drew it across the Batarang, effortlessly slicing through the middle of the Batarang, very smoothly.

Crack!

The Batarang broke directly in half, leaving a semi-circular scratch on his workbench.

"As expected of Superman's tooth, the quality is impeccable. It's more than enough to cut diamonds. Turning waste into treasure is also a skill!"

Duke played with the cutter for a while, then put it into his inventory. He could use this item himself; showing it off wasn't worth it.

Superman's wisdom tooth contains Superman's DNA. Perhaps the Kryptonian bloodline factor could be extracted, but Duke doesn't have that ability right now, so using it as a cutter is fine.

"I've seen all the valuable and worthless items. Now it's time to look at the main event!"

Duke took out a silver-white box from his inventory and placed it on the workbench. The box was emblazoned with Captain America's Vibranium shield logo and had a simple latch mechanism.

Opening the box, Duke saw the Super Soldier Serum and a syringe nestled in black padding. The Serum was as deep as a dark blue ocean, with twinkling specks of light, looking very enchanting.

As for the Serum's container, it was as long as an adult's forearm and three centimeters in diameter.

"I was worried about not having the ability to protect myself before, but now it's here, isn't it?" Duke carefully took out the Super Soldier Serum container and slowly examined it against the sunlight outside the window. Under the sun's rays, the Serum in the container gave off an extremely captivating Dazzle.

"I must use it immediately. If I go to Zaun, I'll have a bit of self-preservation!"

Duke carefully put the Super Soldier Serum back into the box. The syringe was like a half-body armor, needing to be worn. One person could operate it easily, but looking at the injection port's position, it seemed to be a direct heart injection.

"It's quite different from Captain America's, but the efficacy should be stronger!"

After putting the box away, Duke took out a tattered notebook: the Sorcerer Supreme's Rune Hand Scroll, but it was incomplete. If it were complete, it might be in the tier of 10,000-per-draw.

The Sorcerer Supreme's name was written on the surface of the Hand Scroll. The cover was very tattered, as if rescued from a Fire. Two-thirds of the pages were missing, with only a small portion remaining at the front.

"Even a broken one will do. I can't spare too much energy right now. This thing is very useful to me at the moment. It's completely different from the rune system of the Rune Tower, and I don't know what the specific effect will be."

Duke flipped it open for a glance, a sour taste welled up in his mouth, and he immediately closed the notebook and put it back into his inventory.

"This thing irritates me more than the little blond kid!"

Covering his mouth, Duke rushed out of the room, ran into the restroom to vomit, and after cleaning up, he returned to the attic room, wiped the water stains from the corners of his mouth, and took out the last prize.

[Fragment of the Loom of Destiny]

A shattered piece of silk floated lightly into his palm. Holding this silk, Duke had a sudden realization: this thing was like a one-time magic mirror, allowing him to ask one question to this fragment.

The question itself could not exceed the general level of knowledge and understanding of the current World.

"This thing, if you say it's good, it's not that good; if you say it's not good, it still has some value!" Duke stroked the Loom fragment and shook his head: "It's a chicken rib!"

"And the condition of 'general level of knowledge and understanding of the current World' is too difficult to discern!"

"Could it even help me find the original crystal…?" As Duke spoke, the fragment of the Loom quickly burned, and he had inadvertently triggered its use mechanism.

"Damn it!"

Duke immediately cursed, but the fragment had already been burned away by a Fire, and at the same time, the pieces kept falling, one by one, onto the workbench, forming a line of text.

[Ferros Family Mausoleum, Alicia's Coffin, Coffin Unlocking Method.....]

"It really gave an answer?!"

"Damn it, what a huge loss!!!!!"
