Synopsis
Louis is a young boy who possesses a rare magic that exists only within his family and has been passed down through generations. This magic has only one purpose: to seal the cursed forest and suppress the demon that witches seek to make contracts with. For generations, members of his family have carried this dangerous duty. Louis’s father once set out to seal the forest, just as his grandfather had done before him. But before he could succeed, Louis’s parents died in what seemed to be a carefully planned accident. Now the truth remains hidden, and the future is uncertain. But the real question remains: Will Louis truly be able to seal the cursed forest… or will he fail? Perhaps yes. Perhaps no. Because in this story, good does not always win.

Chapter 1 - The Sacrifice of the Forest

Oh, hello. My name is Louis.

It was an ordinary day… or at least, that's what I thought. I had just returned from boarding school; that day marked the beginning of my vacation. I was extremely tired, but when I arrived home, my father and mother welcomed me warmly. Despite my exhaustion, I was very happy.

My father hugged me tightly, and my mother kissed me. Ah… those were happy days.

And that day was also my fifteenth birthday. We celebrated together. The food was filled with love and warmth, just like our hearts. I never knew that day would be the end of everything happy.

Then… the phone rang.

My mother went to answer it.

"Hello… yes… yes, we'll come as soon as possible."

The joyful smile slowly disappeared from her face. She turned to my father with a look full of sadness and fear. Then she looked at me with a strange, sorrowful gaze that seemed to pierce my heart. It felt like a silent goodbye that I couldn't understand.

My father's face turned pale, and sadness appeared in his expression. I didn't understand those strange looks. I had never tasted sorrow before.

I didn't know that it was a sacrifice… the cursed forest's sacrifice.

My father stopped playing with me, and my mother moved quietly through the house. A cold feeling spread through my body. It felt as if death was circling around us.

My parents hugged me tightly.

Then I went to bed, although I couldn't really sleep that night.

Around sunset, I finally drifted into a light sleep… and then I heard my phone ringing.

Ah… that moment is too painful to remember. Even trying to recall it hurts.

So I'll leave the rest of the story to that foolish author…
