Lucy noticed Louis suddenly appear and smiled shyly.
Lucy: "Hi, Louis… I can't believe it… How are you here? I knew you wanted to stay at this school, but… how? You're not from a high-ranking family, how did they accept you?"
Louis tensed, his expression hardening.
Louis: "None of your business."
Without another word, he turned and walked away.
Charlotte, witnessing the scene, approached Lucy and apologized on Louis's behalf:
Charlotte: "Don't be upset… he's just going through a rough time."
He handed her a small treat he had with him.
After that, Charlotte walked away to buy some food, then returned to the table where Louis was sitting.
Charlotte: "Why did you treat her like that? And who is she?"
Louis: "Nothing."
Charlotte frowned and held Louis for a moment, saying:
Charlotte: "Come on, I'll get you some juice."
He went to buy the juice, but Louis refused:
Louis: "I'll go… just give me the money."
Louis went off to buy it himself.
At that moment, another girl started talking to Louis, and Charlotte watched him, noticing Lucy staring at him angrily from afar. After a while, Lucy walked away, crying, and Charlotte realized that Lucy didn't see Louis as just a friend—she was clearly infatuated with him, which frustrated Charlotte.
Charlotte went back to his room to rest for a while, while Lucy waited for Louis to finish talking to the other girl.
When Louis finally finished, Lucy decided to confront him:
Lucy: "Why are you treating me so harshly? Do you remember when we used to stargaze together in the garden, study side by side, and share the same dream of getting into the School of Magic?"
Louis's frustration was evident.
Louis: "I don't want to remember… and do you think I've forgotten what your father did to me? I hate you all… stay away. You don't understand… I don't want to deal with you anymore."
Lucy began to sob, her voice trembling:
Lucy: "But… after the deal was done, you were kind to me too… what happened?"
Louis, cold and firm, replied:
Louis: "Nothing… just leave me… and forget it."
