Chapter 39 – God Valley
God Valley was already in chaos as Celestial Dragons hunted slaves across their playground.
Garling and Sommers were hunting madly, venting all their anger on the slaves. They had searched for the swordsman who had attacked them, the one who forced them back to the Holy Land, but they couldn't find any clues about him.
And worst of all, they had failed to capture their grand prize for the contest—Shakky. That woman had also disappeared, leaving them frustrated.
"If I get my hands on that bastard, I will skin him alive," Sommers shouted, his mood improving as he listened to the screams of slaves bleeding within his thorny vines.
Garling continued his hunt, his sword slashing through slave after slave. Gunko looked at him as arrows flew from her hands, piercing the fleeing slaves one after another.
On a different corner of God Valley, Ivankov, Ginny, and Kuma ran.
"Run, everyone! We just need to wait till the pirates arrive!" Ivankov shouted as slaves followed them.
"What's even the point? You expect pirates to save you?" many complained.
"Then fuck off!" Ivankov shouted angrily.
Ginny panted, "We will have to take the Devil Fruits prepared as treasures. Only then can we escape."
Kuma nodded, a flicker of hope rising in his eyes.
On another side, Dragon panted heavily.
"Why? Why are they doing this?" he gritted his teeth in anger. His eyes turned toward his uniform. "What is justice?"
Just then, he heard someone breathing heavily.
"Anyone there?"
He moved toward the sound and noticed a red-haired woman, barely breathing, blood flowing from a sword wound in her stomach. She clutched two red-haired babies.
Dragon rushed forward. "Are you okay, ma'am?"
The woman looked at him weakly. "Please… take my kids away from this island… and don't let that bastard take them. I beg you…"
She handed the children to Dragon, a faint smile appearing on her face as she looked at them.
Live well, Shamrocks… Shanks…
Her breathing stopped, and her body fell lifeless.
"I promise," Dragon muttered as tears slipped from his eyes.
Shamrocks started crying, reaching his hands toward the woman.
On the shores of God Valley, warships surrounding the island began ringing alarms.
"Alert! Pirates are here!"
"It's R-Rocks Pirates—and their entire fleet—!" Marines shouted in panic and horror as massive sword slashes cut warships in half.
Rocks sheathed his sword and looked toward God Valley.
Eris… Teach…
"Gurararara, you're in quite the mood, Captain," Newgate laughed.
Shiki gritted his teeth. "Damn it, I'm not staying behind. Lion Song: Thousand Valley!"
He swung his two swords, sending multiple slashes at the remaining warships.
"Mamamama, leave some fun for us too. Prometheus!"
"Mama!"
A flaming sun-like entity with a face flew into Linlin's hand, its expression turning demonic.
"Burning Fire!"
Linlin launched a massive flame attack toward the warships.
"Everyone, hunt the Celestial Dragons! Loot everything and save Shakky!" Rocks shouted as he launched forward.
"Jihahahaha, Shakky-chan, I'm coming!" Shiki flew toward God Valley, only to be dragged down by others.
"Tsk! You think you can just run there and save Shakky? I will be the one to save her!"
"Bastard!"
Shiki and others started fighting among themselves.
Newgate ignored them and walked forward.
"Going to find Shakky?" Stussy asked.
"I've got my brother's woman to protect."
Newgate swung his naginata at approaching Marines and CP agents, cutting them down effortlessly.
He still hated that Gloriousa had been kidnapped while Ron wasn't around—and he hadn't even known. As Ron's brother, it was a shame he allowed it to happen.
Linlin and Kaido went in search of Devil Fruits, while John and others searched for treasures.

On the other side, Marine ships were being destroyed by another group.
"Shakky! We are here to save you!" Roger laughed as he swung his sword, splitting another ship in two.
Rayleigh followed, attacking warships.
I'm coming to save you, Shakky…
He had already decided—after saving her, he would confess his feelings.
Gaban and the others followed as they entered God Valley.
A warship with a dog-headed prow approached God Valley at full speed.
A man stood at the front, arms crossed, his white justice cloak flowing behind him.
From beneath the sea, a massive ship coated in a bubble moved forward, pulled by two giant whales.
In the Holy Land, Imu received the news.
"So, he has also come?"
"Mu shall deal with him… Saturn."
Imu closed his eyes.
On God Valley, dark shadows covered Saturn as Imu's shadowy silhouette formed behind him.
Legends were entering God Valley.
The future of the era stood on the line.
The outcome of this event would decide the fate of the world.

[Author Note - well guys, i know it's frustrating that updates aren't daily. But please try to understand I'm working 9-9-7. And the temprature in India is off the charts. The work lode on me is too much. I'm completely exausted everyday with little time and energy to write chapters. Yet I'm still trying to write.
I promise I won't drop my fics . But I can't also ignore my jod so please understand daily updates won't be possible for a month or two. ]
