Chapter 40 – The Chaos
Rocks ran through the Marine blockade as Marines, CP agents, and Celestial Dragons were all sliced down by his sword. His Observation Haki kept searching for Ires and Teach.
"Please be safe…"
he muttered as he rushed across the island.
Linlin, Kaido, and Newgate sent Marines flying as they ran toward the center of the island.
The Roger Pirates were approaching as Marines and CP agents were slaughtered. Everyone was searching for Shakky, while others looted gold and treasures.
"Bhahaha! Where is Roger?"
At the port, Garp shot toward the island from his dog-head warship. Conqueror's Haki coiled around him as he ran straight toward the center of the island.
Garling frowned at all the destruction.
"Pathetic Marines… can't even take care of a few pirates. God Knights, assemble! Protect the Celestial Dragons and kill the pirates!"
"Tsk, now this is more fun," Sommers said, grinning.
Gunko looked at them with cold eyes. "Stop wasting time, then."
The God Knights moved. Marine morale improved as Garp's arrival changed the situation. All pirates in Garp's line of sight were sent flying.
He kept searching for Roger and the others.

Meanwhile, Dragon ran with two kids in his arms.
Just then, a massive figure attacked him.
"Where do you think you're taking them?"
Maffey attacked Dragon, sending him flying as he grabbed Shamrocks. Dragon slammed against a rock, Shanks still clutched in his arms.
He looked at Shamrocks in Maffey's hands. "Damn it!" he cursed.
"You commoner, who do you think you are? Give him back to me!"
Maffey dashed at Dragon—
Just as a massive sword slash cut him in half.
"Wh—?"
Dragon snatched Shamrocks away.
Maffey froze as shockwaves blew his split body away, along with Dragon holding Shanks and Shamrocks.
Dragon clutched the children and looked ahead.
Garp, covered in blood-red lightning and looking like a demon, was clashing with Newgate.
"Damn it, Garp! I don't have time to play with you. Fuck off!" Newgate shouted in irritation as he swung his naginata coated in Conqueror's infusion.
"Bhahaha! Doesn't matter! FISTBONE: IRON FIST!"
Garp's fist and Newgate's naginata clashed as Conqueror's Haki burst outward, creating massive shockwaves.
Trees were uprooted, and the earth cracked.
Dragon took the chance to escape—
But a rock slammed into his back.
Shanks and Shamrocks were thrown from his arms.
"No—!" Dragon shouted, but it was too late.

On the other side of the island, Rocks ran with Eris and Teach on his shoulder.
"Rocks, leave me! You have to get out of here. I'm just a burden—take Teach and go!" Eris shouted.
"Shut up. I'm busy right now," Rocks snapped.
If he had to abandon his wife even with all his strength, he would rather die here than let her fall.
"How long can you run, Rocks?" Garling shouted as he chased from behind.
A vein popped on Rocks' forehead.
"This shit— Eris, take Teach and get the hell out of here alive. I don't care about your nonsense. I want you and Teach alive. You understand?"
"Yes," Eris replied.
Rocks set her and the two-year-old Teach down.
"Grow stronger… and take care of your mother, Teach."
He patted Teach's head and drew his sword.
Conqueror's Haki coated his blade as he turned toward the approaching God Knights and Garling.
"Come, if you dare, you pieces of shit!"
A massive sword slash tore through the ground, trees, and even the towering mountain of God Valley.
Roger, Garp, Newgate, and many others noticed the attack.
"Rocks…?"
Conqueror's Haki flared from his location as explosions echoed.
Ivankov, Ginny, and Kuma searched through rubble for the Devil Fruits.
"Found it!" Kuma shouted, as Ivankov found one too.
Just then, a slender yet powerful arm grabbed Ivankov by the throat, snatching the Devil Fruit.
"Mamamama, you brats don't need this. Give it to Big Mom, and I'll let you live."
"Kuma, eat it!" Ivankov shouted.
Kuma swallowed the fruit in one gulp.
Linlin gritted her teeth. "Damn you!"
Just then, she sensed a powerful aura. Ignoring them, she ran toward it.
Kuma looked at his hand, where a paw mark appeared, and took a deep breath.
"Kuma, you can do it! Let's save everyone!" Ginny said, smiling brightly.
"I can save people now…" Kuma smiled as he slapped Ginny—she vanished. Then he slapped Ivankov.
His eyes lit up.
Linlin ran toward the aura when a kanabo slammed into her side. The Devil Fruit flew out—
Kaido grabbed it and ate it in one bite.
"Thanks for the gift, Linlin."
"Kaido, you bastard!" Linlin growled. That fruit was for Katakuri. She was so angry she wanted to kill Kaido then and there, but she stood up and continued chasing the aura.
Kaido grinned as his body transformed—long, serpentine, blue scales covering him.
"Worororororo!"
A massive Azure Dragon rose into the sky on flame clouds, flying toward the aura.
Newgate and Garp were also heading toward the same presence. Roger and his crew followed, though some like Shiki and John were too busy looting.
"Jihahaha! From now on, it will be the era of flying pirates!"
Shiki had stopped pretending. With so many Celestial Dragons dead, the World Government would never let Rocks go.
If he left now, they wouldn't focus on him—giving him time to form his own crew.
This was the perfect moment.
John, Ochoku, Silver Axe, and others had the same idea.

At the center of God Valley, Rocks sheathed his sword.
All the God Knights chasing him lay in pieces, their bodies slowly regenerating.
Rocks spat, looking at Garling on the ground.
"You had the guts to chase me? Who do you think you are, you piece of shit?"
He slammed his foot onto Garling's face.
"You—!" Garling tried to speak, but couldn't.
Rocks turned toward Saturn, who walked forward. Behind him loomed the shadowy silhouette of Imu.
"Tsk…" Rocks snorted. "Come to save your precious—"
"Rocks."
Imu spoke calmly, about to say something—
But Rocks suddenly grinned.
Imu's eyes shifted toward the sky.
"Fire Fist!"
A massive flaming fist slammed down onto Imu.
"Volhahaha! Took your time, you bastard!" Rocks laughed.
Just then—
Kaido, in his Azure Dragon form, appeared above.
"Worororororo! I'm not late for the fun, am I?"
