Chapter 4 - Distortive

Arrax entered his bedroom to find himself exhausted from the early-day excursion from the hall to his bedroom.

Having to enthral his family for another hour was suffocating and overall annoying, as truly he didn't like to act as he wasn't King Aery's and Queen Rhaella's child but a man from another world.

Prince Arrax let out a low sigh as a knock came from the door.

"My Prince?"

Ser Barristan Selmy, his voice youthful and with excitement, knocked. His armour clinked methodically as he knocked.

"You may enter."

Arrax sprouted up as his ears picked up multiple footsteps entering the room and turned to see the two siblings, the boy and the girl, from over an hour before.

"Well, Well, Well."

Arrax spoke low as he looked at the two, who both looked at their feet, with the boy quivering with obvious fear yet slowly and steadily placing himself in front of his sister.

"It's okay... Let's all sit."

Arrax motioned with his hand before subtilty, nodding to Ser Barritstan, who helped the two sit on the couch present within the prince's room.

The silence was intoxicating as nothing was spoke only the silent yet steady shiver emanating from both children.

"I apologise for the loss of your parents."

Both siblings looked up with shock and looked at Arrax with shock. Never in their life would they expect a Prince, let alone the one their mother tried to kill, would apologise.

"B-But prince, she tried to kill you."

The girl shook out as her brother nodded along, agreeing with his sister.

Arrax looked at the two before something devilish crept upon his face.

"That is true but also false... You see, I was hungry, and instead of getting in trouble for killing a servant, I instead made this tale about her trying to assassinate me. Isn't that right, Barristan?"

Arrax looked like a devil as his face contorted with his fangs bearing, making both children whimper with fear and anger, and Barristan spoke.

"That is true, your highness."

The two children sat down, avoiding at all costs from looking at Arrax until the boy exploded.

"How could you? My mother served your family for years since she was my age, and you used her!

"Tom No!"

The girl retorted, trying to avoid conflict.

Subtly, Barristan moved his hand to the new sword he garnered from the king's guard chambers.

Prince Arrax saw this subtle move and signalled for him to stop.

"You Demon!"

Tom yelled in anger. He had just lost both his parents because this boy, younger than him, was 'hungry'. What was that even supposed to mean?

"Silence,"

Arrax spoke in a deep and twisted voice as both siblings' eyes opened in awe and fear, and their mouths moved. Yet nothing could escape.

"I will feed upon you both, and maybe you could be of use."

Arrax spoke with leisure as the girl motioned with her hands.

"You may speak,"

With that, the girl breathed heavily as she began her speech.

"Please, my lord, leave my brother out of this. He is foolish. I'll do anything!"

Arrax's face twisted as he moved his hand upwards and, with a single flick, Barristan found himself outside the room to the prince's bedroom.

Both siblings looked in shock at the sudden disappearance of the king's guard member before their eyes turned back to the prince.

"You both shall become my servants. My father granted me both of you. Not singular, but both."

Arrax spoke with authority as his fangs grew longer, that they were protruding from his mouth. Their white gleam, both deadly and enchanting, caught the siblings off guard as Arrax pounced on the girl.

"AHHH!"

The girl screamed in fear as Arrax went to bite her neck.

"Get off Her!"

Tom yelled as he grabbed Arrax off his sister, only for the prince, who was only a year younger than him, to completely overpower him.

"What's wrong, Tom? scared? Brave? Or just stupid?"

With that, Arrax flung Tom across the room, making the young boy tumble before collapsing on the floor.

The room seemed to darken as a high-pitched 'hiss' mixed with muffled screams echoed within the corridor guarded by Ser Selmy.

- Two Hours Later -

"Okay, let's go over this again."

Arrax spoke in a tired tone as the two siblings sat on their knees, looking up at him like a normal man to a god.

"Off-course, your highness,"

Both repeated in sync, making Arrax both unnerved and weirded out.

"You have both become what I am, but a step lower. You are creatures of the night. Eternal servants to me, and you shall do my bidding. Do you understand?"

Both siblings shook their heads as Arrax let out a sigh, which seemed to entrench within him for years.

"Good... Tom, I want you to explore the slums of kings landing, whilst Shera is to travel to Essos."

Both siblings looked at one another, where might have been trepidation was now sheer determination as they both, without saying a word, nodded before, in the blink of an eye, faded to black dust like a cloud.

Arrax moved to the window as he opened it to allow his two new servants to explore the world for him.

Watching from the window as the dark veils of dust and soot moved freely in the air, Arrax, without noticing, began levitating, but this was quickly halted as a rapid banging came from the door.

"Brother! Open Up! I know your In their! We have our duel at 12, and Ser Oswell is limited on time!

A painfully overconfident and annoying voice came from beyond the door before the door was nearly forcibly broken from its hinges as it swung open.

"Brother!"

Rhaegar came marching towards the lavish and annoyed-looking Arrax before grasping his hand and forcibly dragging him.

"Come! You said you could beat me, so let's see, brother."

Rhaegar, clearly annoyed from the previous teasing from Arrax at breakfast wouldnt give away an opportunity to clash against his inexperienced brother and make him feel the same pain he felt when Arrax embarrassed him.

"Okay."

Arrax could only state his consent as he was dragged from his bedroom all the way to the training grounds, where a king's guard with normal brown hair and blue eyes was waiting.

"Well, if it isn't the two dragon princes. How can I be of service?"

Oswell did a mockery bow, which made Rhaegar give a lip of a smile before his memory kicked in.

"Ser Oswell i wish for you to oversee my duel with my brother!"

Rhaegar proudly stuck his head up as he paraded his brother like the battle was a certainty.

Although Ser Oswell was known for his sarcastic, almost sardonic attitude, he turned serious at the prince's demand.

"Do you wish for this duel, Prince Arrax?"

Oswell looked deeply into the youngest prince's eyes, awaiting a response.

"Yes, Ser I do wish for this duel."

Arrax responded in kind as he freed himself from his brother's hand and moved towards the rows of wooden swords on stands nearby.

Seeing that both parties were in agreement, Ser Oswell could only give a low sigh as he moved to give both a suitable sword for their age and weight.

Arrax twiddled with the wooden sword, feeling its weight, the way the wood felt uneven in his grip, and yet he felt powerful, like the weapon was an extension of his own body.
