Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Is There Really Something This Good?

After they finished lunch, they said goodbye to Arthur and began heading back home.

"Mama, how are you going to relocate a dungeon?" Aron asked curiously.

"There's a very rare labor profession, closely guarded by the kingdoms, and only a few people have access to it, called Transposer, or Runic Transposer."

"A Transposer can remove a dungeon core while it's in a state of stasis."

"They use part of their own mana, along with the core's mana, to physically store the dungeon."

'What an incredible profession… I definitely want to learn that,' Aron thought, his eyes shining.

"Later, when they find a suitable place, the dungeon becomes active again after a few weeks, as it recovers its mana."

"This profession is more common among rogue-type classes, who act as spies sent to steal dungeons from other kingdoms," Sabrina explained.

Aron immediately looked at Matilda.

"Hehehe… kid, want to learn?" she asked with a mischievous smile.

Aron nodded eagerly.

"I do, Sister Matilda! Can you teach me when I awaken?"

"I won't teach you," she said, smiling as she watched his face fall.

"Only if your mother allows it. She's the one who helped me get this profession."

Aron looked at his mother expectantly.

"There are many incredible professions in the world—and even more yet to be discovered."

"You need to choose carefully, because you can only have one."

"But if you still want to be a Transposer, Matilda can teach you," Sabrina said, ruffling his hair.

'So I can only have one labor class… I have to choose wisely,' Aron thought, resting his hand on his chin like a little adult.

He didn't even notice when they arrived home.

Sabrina set him down on the ground.

"Matilda, play with him for a bit while I prepare things for the dungeon."

"Alright. Aron, let's plant that flax in the backyard."

"Yes!"

A little while later, Arthur arrived and saw them working the soil.

"What are you doing?"

"We're planting," Aron replied.

"I can see that… but why plant it here when the field is already full?"

"This one is different. Aron saw it glowing, while Sabrina and I couldn't see anything," Matilda said.

"Really? That's amazing… as expected of my boy. Like father, like son. Handsome and talented."

"He got his looks from his mother. And your only talent is fooling innocent girls," Matilda replied with disdain.

"Hey! You can look down on me all you want, but Sabrina will still keep loving me," Arthur said with a goofy smile.

'Am I the child here, or are you?' Aron thought, imaginary lines forming on his forehead.

"If you're done deluding yourself, let's go inside and organize things," Matilda said, picking Aron up.

They went inside, with Arthur right behind them.

As Aron listened to their plans for the night, he realized something.

They didn't have anyone to stay on the front line.

His mother seemed to be a healer.

His father, an archer.

And Matilda, an assassin.

When they finished discussing and were about to leave, Aron asked:

"Won't it be dangerous?"

"Don't worry. Mommy isn't an ordinary healer."

"Arthur is also a hybrid archer. All of us are stronger than the monsters in that dungeon."

"The only concern is someone discovering it before we do," Sabrina said, hugging him.

"Yeah! So don't worry. I'm strong, and I'll protect your mother with my life!" Arthur said, flexing his arm.

"I think it's more likely she'll save your life again," Matilda said, bursting into laughter.

'If they're this relaxed… then it probably isn't that dangerous,' Aron thought, calming down.

"I'll prepare dinner. Once it gets dark, we'll head to the forest," Sabrina said, heading to the kitchen.

"I'll go get my things at home. See you," Matilda said as she left.

"I'll help Sabrina," Arthur said, following after her.

Aron was left alone, thinking about everything that had happened.

---

In the kitchen.

"Don't you think it's too early to be telling him all this?" Arthur asked.

Sabrina looked at him.

"Sooner or later, he'll have to learn."

"He's intelligent and independent. There's no harm in introducing the world to him little by little."

"He doesn't need to know about the cruelty of the world yet. This place is peaceful. We can leave that for after his awakening."

Arthur sighed.

"You're right… but we can't stay here for too long."

"We need to get stronger before your father finds us."

"I know. I'll talk to Matilda about it later. Now help me here."

---

Some time later, Matilda showed up wearing tight clothing and light leather armor on her upper body.

'Hmm… she's hot…' Aron thought, fascinated.

She noticed.

"Do I look good?" she asked with a mischievous smile.

Aron nodded automatically.

"Then when you're older and stronger… I'll marry you. How about that?"

'What?! Something that good actually exists?' Aron thought, excited.

"Stop teasing him, Matilda. Come eat," Sabrina said.

Matilda leaned in and whispered:

"Hehe… you liked that, didn't you? Then get strong enough to win me over."

Aron felt a chill run down his spine.

'This woman is dangerous…'

---

After dinner, they began to gear up.

Sabrina put on light leather armor, with two daggers at her waist.

She didn't look like a healer at all.

Arthur appeared soon after, with his bow and quiver on his back.

"Well, since we're ready, let's go," Matilda said.

'...she has nice curves…' Aron thought, watching as she walked out.

"Wait a moment, dear," Sabrina said, hugging him.

"We'll be back before you even miss us."

She kissed his cheek and left.

Aron looked at his father.

Arthur was staring at him with pride.

He raised his thumb.

"Like father, like son."

And left.

'…what goes on in that guy's head?'

---

"Let's not waste any more time. We need to run and reach the dungeon quickly," Arthur said, already dashing ahead.

"He seems excited," Matilda commented, running beside Sabrina.

"You know how he is… he never misses a chance to show off for me."

Matilda narrowed her eyes.

"This time we're not training like in the city dungeon. We need to do this fast and clean… or the whole cover we built will fall apart."

Sabrina nodded.

"I know. When—"

"Hey. This was supposed to be a secret mission," Arthur interrupted, slowing down and looking back with a serious expression.

"Don't go whispering."

"I still have something to take care of later… so let's move."

Sabrina exchanged a glance with Matilda… and sped up.

Matilda then looked at Arthur with a crooked smile.

"You know she doesn't like being interrupted… looks like that 'something later' of yours isn't happening today."

"You don't know me?" Arthur replied confidently.

"Two minutes of talking, and my silver tongue will fix everything."

"Trash," Matilda said with disdain, moving ahead.

Arthur chuckled quietly.

"Women… they always understand what they think we mean, not what we actually say."

The three of them disappeared into the darkness of the forest.

And the night swallowed them in silence.
