On the same time in Vastium, Ava and the Six shell's sitting in a room to discuss about the matter. She show them the reports Nein gather and make them all shocked in awe at how fast the truth unfolds by one mercenary.
The six who act as her bullet consist of skilled personel under her leading. Fera, the first shell who responsible for training the Hunter. Atranu, the second shell who responsible for the safety of the town and lead a separated as the guard of the town. Unguis, the third shell who responsible for the captain safety and is a second captain whether Ava's absent. Lamina, the fourth shell who holds the town logistics. Faber, the fifth shell who responsible for the town structure and a blacksmith responsible to provide everyone with their instrument. And lastly, Foris, the sixth shell who works together with the fourth to handle business from beyond the sand. All gathered because the gun, the captain, called them.
"Can we really trust this man capt?." Ask Lamina while assessing the detailed reports.
"All this in a short time is... unbelievable. Not even our bestest hunter manage to do such things." Fera adds with admiration.
"Let's not ask his method and just tell me what do you guys think about this." Ava says while watching their reaction.
"It's...too detailed as if he's been sitting together with them and listen to their conversation." Atranu pondering to himself.
"...so that's mean if the beast dies...we had no choice but to fight. Was it like that Capt?." Said Faber looking at Ava's calculating face.
"He told me to prepare for the worse. Maybe yes." She replied with a nod.
"Then we need to include him with this discussion for further questioning. Do you know where he's at Capt?." Foris ask curiously.
"What do you mean?. He's been standing here with us since the beginning." She says pointing toward Nein standing still across the room.
The six alerts and readying their guns at him. Finally see the mercenary Ava hire from beyond the desert. An imposing man with his unyielding red eyes standing by the door calm and collected despite their weapon aiming at him.
"Is pointing your weapon considered a greetings here?. I'm starting to wonder at how often I got that." He say nonchalantly.
"Hehe, you can say that." Ava says amused as she raise her hand to tell them it's fine.
The six share the same reluctant looks before slowly lower their guns and return to their seats. Their eyes never leave him as he begin walking closer to the table.
"So how's your investigation Nein?. Got something new?." Ava ask with a smirks.
"I have a bad news and good news. What do you want to hear first." He says immediately.
They look at each other before Lamina speak first after noticing Ava approval.
"The good news first please." She asked.
"They decided to suspend their plan to take the altar." He says with a smile.
Everyone looks delighted by it and sigh in relief.
"And the bad news is?." Ava asked suspiciously.
"They're calling for help. Asking for an army with approximately a hundreds of soldiers. And they'll arrived here in Vastium in...three days." He says flatly making the air fall silent.
"THREE DAYS!?" said everyone in unison.
The room fall to chaos as they begin to panics and speak at each other at the same time. Ava's silently watching, waiting for her people to calm down as she assessing the unyielding look of Nein eyes.
It take a while before they finally calmed and seated on their chair as Ava begin to speak.
"According to your investigation and experience...do you think can I win this war?." Her tone judging as she look directly at Nein.
"No." He says without hesitation making everyone's face harden.
"And what if...I hire you to help us?." Her tone challenging.
"It'll violate the terms of our contract. One client can't hire the same mercenary twice after the previous one expired. You'll need at most three days to hire me again after I sent the reports to my boss. It'll take you at least... two weeks to hire me again." He explains clearly making everyone in the room stare in disbelief.
Ava however, smiling widely as she rose from her seat and walking toward his spot with deliberate strides until she stopped beside him.
"Then...what if a person from the same region as the previous client hiring you the moment the contract ended?. With a different mission of course." Her voice filled with mischief.
"It's depends on the situation. But yes. I can take another mission from different client even without reporting first to boss. As long as the terms are clear, I can send it along with the earlier report." He clarify.
Seeing their exchange, the others can't help but curious of what their captain's up to. He just stated that another contract is impossible yet she ask more making them think she'll let them hiring him for her. And when they're about to volunteer, her hand immediately grabbing his collar and yank him to her face.
The room freeze upon witnessing Ava lips meets Nein Infront of everyone. Her calm and closed eyes a contrast with his wide one. She pulled back slightly as she lick her lips playfully.
"Then... after your contact with the captain of Vastium ends. I'll hire you as one of my soldier this time using my name, Virida Ava Vastium. Can we do that?" Her tone flirting a she keeping her distance to him.
He's taken aback from her sudden proximity and slowly gathering his mind, he clear his throat and looks toward her people speechless expression before shifting to her eyes. He shake his head and speaks.
"You can't, the name in the contract was yours. You can't fake that." He says firmly.
"I know, that's why I'm using my family name Virida this time. Just said that the captain still need you here and use one of her people to form a contract with you, no one will know, right?." Her finger tracing a straight line against his chest as she glares at the six to play along with her plan.
He thinks for a bit and calculating her statement carefully before deciding. He then sigh and nods curtly, there's no flaw in her suggestions as long as everyone in this room keeping their mouth shut about this.
"Then I'll accept the offer." He relent.
Hearing his approval, she immediately lunges herself to him. But this time she failed as he use {Astral} to prevent her from touching him. The sight makes everyone surprised, not as much as when she kissed him though.
"Then I should leave now, please continue with your discussion regarding this matter. And stop teasing me, miss Ava." He warns before vanishing.
Everyone eyes fixed on their captain grinning face as Lamina speak first nervously with a blush.
"Capt...are you okay?. I mean...you don't need to go that far right?. I... Nein doesn't even looks like someone who accept bribe..." Said Lamina who happen to be the youngest in the room.
"Why?. Is it wrong for me to kiss someone I interested with?. Now, let's forget about this and continue our meeting. We have three days before our peace taken from us." She returned to her seat with a playful smile on her face.
Everyone decided to stop thinking about it and just focused on the matter. Ignoring her happy expression and start their strategy meetings.
