"5,000? There were actually 5,000 monsters in this Void Trial." Su Ye looked at the corpses piled up like a small mountain.
"As expected, Abyss difficulty is multiplicative, not just simple addition." Su Ye clicked his tongue, thinking back to yesterday's Abyss difficulty, which only had 1,000 Lesser Demons.
But today it was 5,000, and they were Tier 4 troops. This was only because he had upgraded his lords heart by one level.

"The novice period really is a game for the brave. No wonder toward the end of the novice phase, even knowing Abyss difficulty is brutal, some lords still try it." Su Ye smiled as he looked at his rewards.
Although the items he got yesterday were also good, Su Ye had thought it was just a hidden novice buff benefit. Now it seemed it was more than that; the Abyss-difficulty Void Trial simply yielded great rewards.

Fine, this was the most ordinary troop type, bar none. Its only advantage was being able to recruit two thousand Machine Gunners daily. Sounds impressive, right?
In reality, you had to consider their food and drink, which was the main expense. Such troops were generally used as cannon fodder by high-level lords. They wouldn't even be chosen for mining because they didn't know how; they could only serve as temporary fodder.

Lilith raised an eyebrow, her gaze toward the sci-fi skyscraper somewhat unfriendly. Su Ye looked at Lilith and soon understood why she was hostile.
Lilith belonged to the Chaos Faction, while the sci-fi skyscraper belonged to the Order faction; the two were practically incompatible.
