"Here, Muk. Absorb this Toxic Orb."
When Muk saw the Toxic Orb Ash handed over, its eyes lit up. For a Poison-type Pokémon, the potent toxin refined by Ash was incredibly tempting.
"Muk!"
"Adapt to this deadly poison as quickly as possible. This kind of toxin is terrifying even to Poison-type Pokémon, but once you build a resistance to it, the benefits will be immense. It even has corrosive properties."
"Muk!"
"Ash, is this Arbok..."
Brock looked at Arbok beside Ash with some amazement, while Suzie gently stroked Arbok under Brock's surprised gaze.
"Long time no see, Arbok. It seems Ash has been taking great care of you."
"Arbok!" (Long time no see.)
Arbok nuzzled Suzie and then looked toward Misty.
"Arbok!" (Hello.)
"Hello, Arbok. I'm Misty."
"Arbok."
Seeing that everyone had exchanged greetings, Ash said, "From now on, Arbok will be traveling with us. With Gastly at home, I can safely let Arbok take a rest."
"Is that so? Then please take care of us from now on, Arbok!"
And with that, Ash's Arbok joined the team.

Since the Grimer needed Muk to manage them, Muk temporarily stayed behind in Gringey City to help out. However, with Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny there, Ash could call Muk over anytime he needed its help. And with Arbok's addition, Ash and the group's journey became much livelier.
"Arbok!!!" (You stupid duck, stop making the Master carry you! Get in your Poké Ball or walk yourself!)
"Psy?"
"Arbok!" (Get down and walk yourself!!!)
Ash's Arbok continuously tried to make Psyduck get down and walk on its own. However, this stupid duck completely refused to move, making Arbok want to sink its venomous fangs into it.
Suzie comforted Arbok, saying, "There, there, Arbok. Psyduck has some issues with its head, so just try to be understanding."
Arbok acknowledged that Psyduck had a few screws loose, but it wasn't about to give up.
"Arbok!" (Get down, duck!)
BOOM!!!
Just as Arbok finished yelling, an explosion rang out. Instantly, Arbok, Meowth, Chansey, Pikachu, and Ash took up battle stances.
"That was an explosion just now. An enemy?"
Arbok calmly observed its surroundings, then shook its head. Meowth, having finished scanning with an instrument, said, "Not an enemy. It seems to be industrial mountain blasting."
"Huh?" x4
Misty asked somewhat confusedly, "Industrial mountain blasting?"
"That's right, meow. Using explosives to blow up a mountain. It seems to be for some industrial project, right?"
Hearing Meowth say this, Suzie said doubtfully, "But I remember the League doesn't allow this, do they?"
"Indeed, it's not allowed... because it causes environmental destruction. If that causes a Pokémon stampede, it's no joke."
Hearing this, Brock couldn't help but ask, "Should we go take a look?"
"No need. Let those idiots reap what they sow. Let's go."
Beep beep!
Just as Ash and the group were about to leave, a car horn sounded. Then, an extremely familiar voice called out, "Ash!"
"Gary. What brings you here?"
Gary stopped the car, looked at Ash's Arbok, and was startled.
"Whoa! You actually called Arbok over?!"
"Yeah, with Gastly at home, I can bring Arbok along for the journey. By the way, what are you doing here?"
"Me? I received a commission asking for excellent trainers to help out. Don't tell me you weren't invited?" Gary was a bit surprised to see Ash completely unaware of the situation; he knew full well how strong Ash was in battle.
"Nope... we were just about to leave. But now I'm a bit interested. I'd really like to see what kind of problem they need trainers to solve."
"Is that so? If you join Ash, it'll definitely be much easier. But Ash, make sure you stay away from my girlfriends, you hear?!"
Seeing Gary guarding his girlfriends as if defending against a wolf, Ash was somewhat speechless. He then threw his arms around Misty and Suzie's shoulders and said, "I have girlfriends, and we're dating with the goal of marriage!"
Being suddenly hugged by Ash, Misty and Suzie blushed slightly. However, since Ash had already laid his feelings bare back on Scissor Street, the two of them didn't feel too embarrassed.
"...Alright, fine. As long as you don't flirt with my girlfriends..."
"Rather than watching out for me, you should watch out for Brock..."
Watching Brock already start sucking up to the girls, Ash felt he should probably get the 'Muscle Bros' ready. Gary took one look at Brock and said, "Oh, him? I'm really not worried. My girlfriends wouldn't fall for an old man face like that. Anyway, let's go, Ash."
"Yeah! Let's go! Though Gary, we better be ready to beat some people up."
"Huh?"
