Once again, a turf war broke out between the Kaz Gym and the Yas Gym.
Bolstered by his new helper, Brock, Yas confidently shouted at Kaz, "Damn you, Kaz Gym! Today we're going to kick you out!"
"You're the ones getting kicked out! Damn you, Yas Gym!" Kaz fired back.
As the two leaders glared at each other, memories of their past conflicts caused their fury to skyrocket.
"Go, Electabuzz! Use Thunderbolt!"
"Bzzzt! Zaa!"
With Kaz and Yas leading the charge, the chaotic brawl started all over again. Electabuzz relentlessly blasted the Yas Gym members with Thunderbolt, while Scyther slashed away at the Kaz Gym members—destroying the houses behind them in the process and causing countless amounts of property damage.
"Damn you, Kaz! We brought in a special expert just to deal with you today! This time, I'm going to crush you completely! Please make your move, Mr. Brock!" Yas yelled.
"We're counting on you, Mr. Brock!" The women of the Yas Gym cheered in unison.
With just one word from the lady, Brock was instantly flooded with energy. "No problem! Please, leave it to me! Go, Onix!!!"
As Onix materialized on the battlefield, Misty, Suzie, and even Lara helplessly facepalmed.
"Sure enough, that guy Brock is completely captivated," They groaned. Seeing Brock embarrass himself like this, Misty didn't even know what to say anymore.
Lara took a long, hard look at Brock and muttered, "From now on, I definitely need to keep Ash away from this guy..."
Back at the brawl, thanks to Brock's assistance, the Yas Gym was clearly starting to overpower the Kaz Gym.
"Go, Onix! Use Bind on Electabuzz!" Brock commanded.
Having long since reached the Elite tier, Onix easily wrapped its massive tail around Electabuzz, binding it tightly.
"Ahahaha!!! You lose this time, Kaz!" Seeing his old rival at a disadvantage, Yas's mood instantly lifted.
But right at that moment, a voice rang out from above.
"No, this time, you both lose!"
"What?!"
Following the voice, Yas looked up toward the roof. There, sitting in an expensive chair, was a young man wearing a sharp gentleman's suit. A small Eevee was resting comfortably in his lap, and a Pikachu stood proudly on his shoulder. A Meowth was sitting right beside him, along with a Chansey.
"Who the hell are you?" They demanded.
"Me? I'm just a wealthy young master out traveling. It's just that watching you punks brawl is way too pathetic, so I'm going to teach you what a real fight looks like."
Hearing Ash say this, Yas and Kaz instantly flared up with rage. Being called street punks was absolutely intolerable. However, before they could retort, Ash had already tossed out four Poké Balls.
"Primeape, Mach Punch on Onix! Charmeleon, Fire Spin! Squirtle, Water Gun! Bulbasaur, Razor Leaf!"
The moment Ash's four Pokémon appeared on the field, Primeape immediately threw a lightning-fast punch just as Ash commanded. Brock's Onix's eyes went wide the second it saw Primeape, right before it was instantly knocked down and pinned by the crushing blow.
"So heavy, Onix!" Brock gasped.
Seeing Brock's Onix get one-shotted in the blink of an eye, both Yas and Kaz froze. After all, Onix's combat power was obvious to everyone, and yet it had actually been instantly defeated.
While they were stunned, Charmeleon was already sweeping the field with Fire Spin. Whether human or Pokémon, everyone was caught up in the scorching blast of Charmeleon's flames. Meanwhile, Electabuzz—having just broken free from Onix's grip—was struck by Bulbasaur's Razor Leaf and sent flying backward.
"Electabuzz, are you okay?!"
"My Scyther!"
On Kaz's side, Electabuzz was beaten down, and things weren't looking any better for Yas, as his Scyther had been blasted aside by Ash's Squirtle's Water Gun. Seeing both of their factions get completely thrashed, Kaz and Yas exchanged a look. If word of this humiliating defeat reached the outside world, their two Gyms would likely have to shut down for good. Realizing this, the two bitter rivals actually nodded at each other in perfect mutual understanding.
"Boys! Take out the outsider first!" they both roared in unison.
Seeing that these two still hadn't learned their lesson, Ash just smiled. "Go! Finish them! Catch this, Charmeleon! Now is the time—Evolve!"
With that, Ash tossed a Rare Candy into the air. Spotting it, Charmeleon leaped up and swallowed the candy in a single bite. A split second later, the blinding, searing light of evolution flashed across the sky. Charmeleon was evolving!
With a deafening roar, a Charizard—one significantly larger and more imposing than any ordinary Charizard—materialized in the air. To celebrate its evolution, Charizard spewed terrifyingly fierce flames toward the sky. The fearsome heat was so intense it made everyone feel as though the very moisture was being scorched from the air.
After comfortably breathing out a spout of fire to celebrate its new form, Charizard turned its predatory gaze toward the enemies on the ground. Right now, it was in desperate need of some target practice.
