Chapter 6 - The Hidden Truth

The next morning. The classroom felt different.

The whispers hadn't stopped.

But this time... I wasn't alone.

I walked to my seat quietly.

Sihoon was already there.

He looked at me for a moment, us if checking if I was okay.

I gave a small nod.

Then Sora entered the classroom.

The moment she walked in her eyes fall on me.

Something felt..off.

She smiled.

But it wasn't normal smile.

I felt strange uncomfortable.

My chest tightened slightly.

Without realising it, I froze.

Suddenly, I felt warm touch.

Sihoon gently held my hand undythe desk.

I looked at him in surprise.

He didn't look at me. His eyes were still on Sora.

"Ignore he", he said quietly.

Sora walked past our desk slowly.

Then she suddenly stopped.

My breath caught in my throat.

She leaned closer to me.

I could feel her presence right beside me.

Then she whispered softly in my ear.

"Do you even know who your real parents are?"

My eyes widened.

I froze completely.

I looked at her in shock.

After they left me.

I had never seen them again.

I was shaken.

My hand trembled slightly under the desk.

My mind kept repeating her words.

Who you real parents are..

Sihoon noticed something was wrong.

He tightened his grip on my hand.

"Jia...?" He whispered softly.

Sora stepped back as if nothing had happened.

Her experience was calm - almost confident.

As if she knew exactly what she had done.

Before i could say anything.

The classroom door opened.

The Teacher walked in.

"Everyone, take your seat."

The whispers stopped Immediately.

The class returned to normal.

But for me.

Nothing felt normal anymore.

The bell finally rang.

I stood up immediately and walked toward her.

"Sora".

She turned slowly, as if she had been expecting me.

I clenched my fists.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Do you know something about my parents?"

A small smile on her lips.

"You really don't remember anything... do you?"

My chest tightened.

"Stop talking like that and just tell me!"

She tilted her head slightly.

"Why are you so curious?"

Her voice dropped to a whisper.

"About people who abandoned you..."

She stepped closer.

"Especially when you think you are just a bad omen."

"That's enough ".

Sihoon stepped in front of me.

His voice was calm.. but cold.

"I don't think you should say things so carelessly," he said looking straight at Sora.

For a moment, the air felt tense.

Sora didn't back down.

She only smiled faintly.

Sihoon didn't say anything more.

He gently grabbed my hand.

"Let's go", he said.

Before I could react. He led me out of the classroom.

The hallway felt quieter than before.

But my heart was still racing.

We reached the cafeteria.

It was noisy, but somehow...I couldn't hear anything clearly.

Sihoon looked at me seriously.

"What did she say to you?" He asked.

I hesitated for a moment.

My heart was still beating fast.

"May be... She knows something about my parents." I said quietly.

He expression changed.

"She knows?" He asked.

I nodded slowly.

He looked at me carefy.

"Do you want to know about them?"

I froze.

"Maybe... I do". I whispered.

I placed my hand over my chest.

"But....it feels like my heart is stopping me."

I stayed quietly for a long time.

My fingers tightened slightly.

"I don't know..." I whispered.

I looked down.

"A part of me want to ask.."

My voice trembled.

"I want to know they are..."

I paused.

"Why they left me.."

My chest felt heavy.

"But I am scared heavy.

Sihoon looked at me seriously.

"If you are willing to tell me..." He said softly".

"Where was the orphanage you grew up in?"

I looked at him, confused.

"Why?" I asked.

His expression didn't change.

"Because I went to find out the truth".

I hesitated for a moment... Then slowly told him the location.

He listened carefully.

But after that.

He didn't say anything.

"Let's eat", he said quietly.

" I will tell you everything later".

I looked at him, confused.

But i didn't ask agy.

Still...

I couldn't shake the strange feeling.

It felt this like someone was watching me.

I turned my head slightly.

And for a brief moment...

I saw Sora standing at a distance.

She was looking straight at us.

And smiling.

That evening.

Sihoon stood in front of an old building.

The orphanage.

The point on the walls was faded.

The gate creaked as he pushed it open.

His eyes were serious.

"There is definitely something hidden here..." He murmured.

He stepped inside.

The place felt quite... almost too quiet.

As he walked down the hallway, he noticed a woman arranging some files.

She looked like one of the staff members.

He walked toward her.

"Excuse me," he said politely.

" I want to ask something about a girl who used to stay here."

The woman looked at him curiously.

"What is her name?"

"Choi Jia.."

The woman's expression changed slightly.

She went silent for a moment.

Then she said slowly.

"That child..."

Sihoon's eye sharpened.

"Do you know anything about her parents?"

The she leaned closer and said something in a low voice.

Sihoon eyes widened.

His expression froze.

"That impossible", he whispered.

He had just discovered something.

Somthing he never expected.
