The hospital room felt colder than before.
Arjun stood frozen, staring at Aanya.
"You… can see it?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Aanya didn't answer.
Her eyes were fixed on the wall behind him.
On the crimson shadow that slowly twisted like smoke.
Then, very softly, she spoke—
"It's been watching us for a long time."
Arjun's heart skipped a beat.
"What are you talking about?" he asked nervously.
Aanya finally looked at him.
Her expression was calm… too calm.
"It was there last night," she said. "In the room."
Arjun stepped back.
"No… that's not possible."
But deep inside, he knew something wasn't right.
The flickering lights… the missing knife… the shadow…
None of it was normal.
Suddenly, the door opened again.
The police officer returned.
"We need you to come with us," he said, looking at Arjun.
"Why?" Arjun asked.
The officer's face was serious.
"There are things you need to see."
A few minutes later…
Arjun stood inside a dimly lit security room.
A monitor screen flickered in front of him.
"This is the footage from last night," the officer said.
Arjun's eyes stayed fixed on the screen.
The video showed Aanya's room.
He saw himself entering in panic.
He saw Aanya lying on the bed.
Everything looked normal.
Until—
Arjun froze.
Because in the video…
There was someone else in the room.
A dark figure standing in the corner.
Not moving.
Just watching.
"That's not possible…" Arjun whispered.
The officer zoomed in.
The figure wasn't clear.
But one thing was visible—
Two faint red glowing eyes.
Arjun's breath stopped.
"That thing followed her here," the officer said quietly.
Back in the hospital room…
Aanya sat up slowly on the bed.
The machines around her began to beep faster.
The room grew colder.
Above her, the crimson shadow stretched wider across the ceiling.
And for the first time—
It moved closer to her.
Aanya looked up at it.
And smiled.
"Because this time… the shadow wasn't just watching her—it was coming for her."
