The rain outside the hospital had stopped.
But the cold silence in the corridor felt heavier than before.
Arjun stood outside Aanya's room, staring through the glass window. She was lying on the bed, motionless, surrounded by machines that beeped slowly in the quiet room.
The doctor had just told him something that didn't make sense.
"The wound on her wrist… it's gone."
Arjun's mind refused to believe it.
"How can a deep cut disappear overnight?" he whispered to himself.
Inside the room, Aanya suddenly moved slightly.
Arjun pushed the door open and rushed inside.
"Aanya… can you hear me?"
Her eyes slowly opened again.
For a moment, she looked confused, as if she didn't recognize where she was.
But then she looked directly at Arjun.
And smiled.
That same strange, calm smile.
Arjun felt a chill run through his body.
"Aanya… what happened last night?" he asked carefully.
She stayed silent for a few seconds.
Then she spoke softly.
"Last night… someone else was there."
Arjun frowned.
"What do you mean?"
Before she could answer, the hospital room door suddenly opened.
Two police officers walked in.
"We need to ask some questions," one of them said.
Arjun looked confused.
"About what?"
The officer looked serious.
"About the incident last night."
He placed a small evidence bag on the table.
Inside it was a knife covered in dried blood.
Arjun's eyes widened.
"But… that knife wasn't in the room," he said.
The officer nodded slowly.
"That's the strange part."
"We didn't find it in the room."
Arjun felt his heartbeat getting faster.
"Then where did you find it?"
The officer looked directly at him.
"We found it on the hospital roof."
For a moment, the room went completely silent.
Then suddenly…
The lights flickered again.
And on the white wall behind Aanya's bed…
A crimson shadow slowly appeared.
Watching them.
But the most terrifying thing was—
Aanya was staring at it.
As if she could see it too.
And she was still smiling.
