Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: Climbing the Red Line

Night fell.

Fisher Tiger stood bare-chested at the base of the cliff, gazing up at Mary Geoise hidden in the clouds, his eyes blazing with fire. "Brother Rhett, proceed as planned."

Rhett lounged lazily on a throne formed from blood mist. "Old Tiger, are you sure you don't want me to lift you up? The guards are sparse here precisely because it's so dangerous—"

Only by being here could one truly feel the awe-inspiring nature of this cliff.

Though Rhett knew Tiger would climb it, doing so would leave Tiger nearly spent. Tiger was truly a remarkable man.

"The pride of fishmen isn't just empty words," Tiger grinned, his fingers digging into the crevices as he scaled the cliff like a gecko, disappearing into the night in an instant.

Rhett squinted at the shrinking figure, muttering softly, "Tsk, just as stubborn as in the manga..."

With a wave of his hand, the blood mist around him churned, and his figure vanished completely into the darkness.

In the latter half of the night, Rhett leaned against the port of Mary Geoise, the mist enveloping him, blending him into the night.

Explosions and curses echoed through the night sky as Tiger ignited a beacon that erupted in the eastern part of the city. The guards panicked and rushed eastward: "Fishmen are invading! Notify the Holy Knights immediately!"

In the shadows, Rhett strode confidently through the port on the mist, the transparent fog spreading. Rhett controlled the mist to a low enough density—anyone familiar with mist knows that at a certain thinness, it becomes invisible—freezing the images of the surveillance Den Den Mushi along the way.

"Brother Rayleigh's intel was spot on..." He glanced at the map Shaky had drawn, truly terrifying these two, going above and beyond, someone should really rein them in.

His fingertip lightly tapped the deepest cell on the west side, "The Hancock sisters should be right—"

"Help! Help!" A child's cry interrupted his thoughts. Rhett frowned and turned to see three human children chained in a corner, an Celestial Dragon behind them brandishing a branding iron with a cruel laugh.

The mist suddenly surged!

"Hey, trash," Rhett's voice came from behind the Celestial Dragon. Before the other could turn, a giant hand formed from blood mist slammed him into the wall! "Didn't your parents teach you that bullying kids brings retribution?"

"Idiot, didn't you see the huge fire? Still here." Rhett spat.

In terms of stirring Rhett's emotions, Celestial Dragons were always ahead. Every time he saw one, his heart raced with anger.

The children's eyes widened—they only saw a pair of crimson pupils emerge from the shadows, and in the next second, all the chains turned to iron sand, falling to the ground.

"Follow the red mist," Rhett flicked a wisp of mist that coiled around the children's wrists, "It will lead you to the dock..."

Rhett's Observation Haki swept over, was that Ginny????

In the original story 14 years ago, her unit was annihilated by the World Government, and Ginny was forced to marry a Celestial Dragon. Twelve years ago, she gave birth to Jewelry Bonney, and died the same year from Sapphire Scale Disease at the age of 39.

In the original story, it should have been the year 1504 of the Sea Calendar when Ginny was captured,

But now it's the year 1506 of the Sea Calendar,

Rhett didn't care about this, it wasn't the first time he'd encountered such things.

Rhett's Observation Haki rippled out, sensing within its range a lavish hall where a farcical "wedding" was taking place—Ginny was bound in chains, forced to kneel at the feet of a Celestial Dragon, surrounded by others raising their cups with cruel laughs.

"Tsk, this damn place has all sorts of shitty plots..." Rhett's eyes turned cold, the blood mist at his fingertips condensing into a blade as thin as a hair.

He could have ignored it all, after all, they were strangers, and he could have gone straight to find the Hancock sisters—but the next second, Ginny suddenly looked up, as if sensing something, gazing in the direction where Rhett was hiding.

She didn't see Rhett, she was just looking outward, with a look of someone seeking death, fate's favoritism had her eyes meet Rhett's,

Their gazes briefly intersected in the void, Rhett's alone.

Ginny's lips moved silently:

"Who will kill me."

Damn, what is this sense of fate?

Rhett stood in the shadows where the blood mist churned, Ginny's eyes stabbed into his nerves like knives.

"Kill me."

She repeated it unconsciously, her pupils filled with desperate resolve.

The Celestial Dragon was still laughing cruelly, his fingers roughly gripping her chin, as if playing with a newly bought toy.

"Lowly commoner, becoming my wife is the greatest honor of your life—"

"You're noisy."

Rhett's figure vanished abruptly, the blood mist exploding like a tidal wave!

The blade of the Black Tide Greatsword flashed, the air torn with a sharp whistle, the Celestial Dragon's head flew high, blood splattering on Ginny's pale face.

The screams in the hall erupted a second later.

"C-CP0! Where are you! Intruder!!"

"Everyone, is this a misunderstanding? If I act, none of you will survive."

Rhett ignored the chaos, yanking Ginny's chains apart, the blood mist coiling around her body, lifting her into the air.

"Can you walk?" Rhett remained hidden.

Ginny's breathing was rapid, her eyes fixed on Rhett.

She had seen those crimson pupils before, at God Valley, she had seen those eyes.

But reality gave her no time to think—outside the hall, the presence of CP0 was closing in,

Rhett clicked his tongue, the blood mist suddenly expanded, forming countless fine threads, weaving a massive net in the air.

"Listen," he pulled Ginny up, "Tiger is causing chaos in the southeast corner, this mist I've condensed will take you to the port, you should know Rayleigh and Shaky, they're waiting there."

Ginny watched as the mist gradually condensed on her body, becoming transparent, not truly disappearing, but refracting light,

Ginny's lips trembled, "What about you?!"

Rhett grinned, the blood mist on the Black Tide Greatsword boiling, nine ferocious blood dragons roared from the blade!

Rhett's figure twisted and distorted in the blood mist, the blade patterns of the Black Tide Greatsword glowing faintly red.

"CP0?" He tilted his head, the mist outlining a ferocious demon mask on his face, "You came just in time—"

The nine blood dragons coiled in the hall, Rhett tried not to make too much noise!

Rhett only needed to block those Tiger couldn't handle.

The black and red lightning of Conqueror's Haki danced on the dragons' bodies, Rhett's hand gripped the neck of the first CP0 member to charge, the blood mist pouring into the other's orifices—

"Mist God Style: Bone Erosion."

In just three seconds, the CP0 member's body went limp, leaving only an empty white suit.

"Monster...!" The other agents retreated in terror.

Rhett flicked his wrist, the blood mist pooling beneath him into a throne. He lazily leaned back, crossing his legs:

"Killing all of you still counts as a perfect infiltration."

The blood mist enveloped everything, the world fell silent.

Once, a great assassin had demonstrated perfect infiltration by leading the charge,

Rhett's perfect infiltration of Mary Geoise was on record.
