The Beginning of War
Late that night Seraphine appeared in Kael's room again.
Her expression was serious.
"You've attracted too much attention."
Kael frowned.
"What do you mean?"
Seraphine looked toward the distant mountains.
"Your father's enemies have finally noticed you."
Kael remained silent.
Seraphine continued.
"And they're coming."
Outside the academy walls, far in the darkness…
Something powerful was approaching.
War was beginning.
