Hunter Captain's Resolve
The ruined chamber echoed with the clash of steel and magic. Kael stood in the center of the battlefield, darkness swirling around him as his Abyss Domain filled the ancient hall. The Void Hunters moved cautiously now, aware that they were facing something far more dangerous than the young student they had once underestimated.
The hunter captain wiped blood from the corner of his mouth and steadied his stance. His armor had cracked during the previous exchange, but his eyes burned with determination.
"You've grown stronger," he admitted.
Kael's expression remained calm. The Abyss Ring on his finger pulsed softly, feeding dark energy into his veins.
"You should have stayed away," Kael replied.
The captain chuckled quietly.
"That's not how this works."
He raised his blade and pointed it directly at Kael.
"You are the heir of the Abyss King. If you live, the empire he once built could rise again."
Kael said nothing.
Around them, Leon unleashed another wave of blue fire, forcing several hunters back.
Seraphine stood behind Kael, watching the captain carefully.
"He's stalling," she whispered.
Kael nodded.
More hunters were probably on their way.
The captain suddenly moved forward with incredible speed. Their blades collided again, sending sparks flying across the chamber.
For the first time, the captain began using his full power.
