The Invader
The creature landed in the center of the academy courtyard with a thunderous impact.
The ground shattered beneath it.
Its head slowly turned, scanning the surroundings.
Then its eyes locked onto Kael.
A low, distorted voice echoed.
"Abyss… heir…"
Kael stepped forward without hesitation.
Leon appeared beside him, flames already ignited.
"Looks like your fan club is growing," Leon said.
Kael didn't respond.
The creature raised its arm.
Dark energy gathered in its palm.
Then it fired.
A massive beam of corrupted energy shot across the courtyard, destroying everything in its path.
Kael reacted instantly.
"Abyss Domain!"
Darkness spread outward, intercepting part of the attack—but the force still pushed him backward several meters.
"…It's strong," Kael muttered.
Seraphine stepped behind them.
"This is just a scout," she said.
Kael's eyes widened slightly.
"A scout?"
Seraphine nodded.
"If this came through… something far worse may follow."
Kael tightened his grip.
"Then we stop it here."
