Chapter 117 - Ch 117- No solution

"How unpleasant!"

Regulus's roar echoed through the forest. Her golden pupils narrowed into dangerous slits due to her fury.

"You vile, lowly creatures! Filthy gutter rats! How dare you use such despicable methods to ambush the perfect me?!" She furiously waved her arms, each movement accompanied by a deafening roar. "Do you know how long I've been preparing for this meeting? And you greet a guest with such a dirty trap?!"

She stomped her foot on the ground, which immediately collapsed. "No upbringing! No manners! Lowly creatures like you should be on your knees begging for my forgiveness!"

"Al Goa!"

A sudden fireball whistled out from the forest, its scorching flames instantly engulfing Regulus's figure. Amidst the rolling fire, her pure white form could vaguely be seen still standing tall.

When the flames dissipated, Regulus stood unharmed, not even a single strand of her hair out of place.

"Finally crawling out of the gutter, are we? You despicable coward!"

Carlisle slowly emerged from the forest, gripping his long sword, his blue eyes reflecting the terrifying enemy.

Greed suddenly began to scrutinize Carlisle. "So, it was you, this scoundrel, who planned this despicable ambush? How infuriating! Absolutely infuriating! How dare you treat the perfect me with such underhanded tactics!"

She angrily accused him. "How were you raised by your parents? Didn't your teachers teach you basic manners?"

"El Fura!"

Carlisle's wind blade shattered into points of light before Regulus. She was momentarily stunned, then became even more enraged.

"I say!"

Her voice grew louder and louder. "You impolite, lowly person! Not only did you ambush me with a dirty trap, but now you even dare to interrupt me while I'm speaking?"

She clutched her white hair in distress. "This is already the second right that has been violated! The first was ambushing the flawless me! The second is interrupting my carefully prepared speech!"

"For someone as tolerant and generous as me, to specifically put aside important plans to meet you, and then to receive such treatment... This world is truly unfair!"

Carlisle's brows were tightly furrowed as he vigilantly watched the chattering Archbishop of Sin. Why was this overwhelmingly powerful enemy, despite holding a clear advantage, delaying her attack?

What on earth was she waiting for?

Regulus suddenly adopted a posture of profound pity. "However~" Her voice suddenly softened. "I, myself, am simply too ,kind and benevolent. Even when facing a despicable and shameless ambusher like you, I am willing to show great mercy~"

She twirled elegantly. "So, I've decided to give you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. As long as you immediately stop violating my sacred rights, and..." Her lips curled into an unsettlingly sweet smile. "Become my 48th husband, I will magnanimously forgive all your transgressions."

Carlisle tightened his grip on his sword hilt. This madwoman's logic completely transcended the understanding of a normal person. Despite possessing overwhelming power, she was talking about... marriage on a battlefield?

What on earth was this person saying? Was it a trap? Or some kind of mental attack?

Regulus suddenly cupped her face with both hands, striking an exaggeratedly shy pose. "Oh my, why are you stunned?" Her voice was sickeningly sweet. "Of course, for a lowly person like you, to gain the favor of the perfect me, it must be a happiness you wouldn't even dare to dream of, right?"

"Although you are a crude, ill-mannered man, and even dared to ambush the noble me... I will magnanimously forgive you~ Once we return, I will personally teach you how to cultivate noble virtues like mine."

Carlisle's temple throbbed. He could feel the gazes of his companions from not far away.

He had to stick to the plan... "Stop joking, Archbishop of Sin." Carlisle forced his voice to remain steady, pointing his sword tip directly at Regulus's heart. "I have nothing to discuss with someone like you. Furthermore..."

"I already have someone I want to spend my life with."

Upon hearing this, Regulus's body suddenly froze like a statue, her pale cheeks visibly reddening at a rapid pace.

"You... what did you say?!" Her voice suddenly rose eight octaves, as shrill as shattering glass. "You dare—after gaining my favor, you still dare to flirt with disreputable women outside!"

She angrily messed up her pure white hair. "What a vile betrayal! What shameless deception! A fickle scoundrel like you should be cut into a thousand pieces! You are not rejecting me! You are betraying my trust! You are defiling my purity!"

Regulus suddenly straightened her back, pointing a trembling finger at Carlisle. "Fine! I didn't want to be in a relationship with a man as untrustworthy as you anyway! A barbarian like you, who lacks even basic morals, doesn't deserve to stand beside the noble me!"

Carlisle ignored Greed's rambling. He noticed the soil beneath Regulus's feet beginning to undulate unnaturally.

"Die!"

Regulus suddenly grabbed a handful of dust, her slender arm swinging with incredible force. Just at this critical moment—

"Al Huma!"

Rem's voice pierced the air like an ice blade. A bone-chilling cold erupted from beneath Regulus's feet, instantly freezing her pure white figure into a glistening ice sculpture.

"Al Clauzeria!"

Julius's chant followed closely. Six-colored spirits intertwined in the air to form a dazzling ribbon of light, and a pure white glow poured down like a waterfall. The multi-elemental magic reacted violently within the ice sculpture. Amidst the deafening explosion, the location where Greed stood was completely engulfed by a blinding white light.

Carlisle dodged the splashing shockwave with a side-flight, his eyes fixed on the center of the explosion. Everyone held their breath, Julius's fingers still in a casting posture, Rem's Morning Star chain pulled taut.

A crisp clap suddenly came from the dust.

"I say!"

Regulus's voice carried an unsettling chill. "So, there were still so many despicable cowards hidden? But on second thought, it makes sense."

Her figure gradually became clear, her pure white dress still spotless. She elegantly adjusted her cuffs like a noble lady. "That level of ambush certainly couldn't be accomplished by one person. Let me guess..." Her golden pupils narrowed dangerously. "Was it the purple-haired young man? Or the blue-haired maid? Or perhaps the black-haired young lady?"

"What a disgusting tactic."

"You sewer bugs! You maggots from the cesspit! How dare you do such a thing to the perfect me!" Her voice grew increasingly high-pitched.

She suddenly spread her arms. "But it doesn't matter~ Since you dared to attack the noble me, I presume you've prepared yourselves, right?" Her lips twisted into a morbid smile.

Carlisle's Adam's apple bobbed with difficulty. He recalled a spatial ability called "Kamui" from an anime he had watched in his previous life, but this madwoman's "time stop" seemed even more troublesome.
