It's not that he is strong enough to challenge the Gale Winged Sub Dragon; in fact, just a single flap of its wing can kill him.
He is also not smart enough to think of a five-dimensional chess-type plan; he knows that much. He was only able to reach such heights due to his talent.
His talent was called Future Script, and as the name suggests, it gives a script containing a future direction. To be more precise, his talent is the personification of the Butterfly Effect.
When the talent is activated, it will pin a certain event and action leading to that in nine phases. He will have to do certain events that his scripts give, the events may be to kill something, dig a hole somewhere, or steal something, and the like.
All these actions that may seem like small things are like dominoes that will fall to create a great picture.
And the event that has been fixed is his becoming a Beast King, just looking at the greatest reward, he couldn't help but think of a beautiful future.
Since he got here, he has been faithfully fulfilling the script, and the fifth phase is almost about to be completed. Just with many extra rewards, he has already reached the peak of Elite Beast Rank.
"Northwest, Fallen Stone Forest."
He looked at the script as he moved toward that direction. His action was to kill and loot somebody within a time limit of ten minutes and then disappear.
Looking at the stone forest in front of him, he climbed a taller stone and activated his mirage; his figure disappeared as he waited for his prey.
Time started to tick by as he waited. He suddenly noticed some movement as he watched a lone lizard-like monster walking toward the base of the mountain.
He recognized the species, a Wind Crossing lizard, one of the sub-bloodlines of the Gale Winged Sub Dragon. The energy radiating from its body was equal to a High Elite Beast Rank.
He silently stepped on the stone beneath him as he pounced on the lizard; due to his mirage, the lizard didn't notice his movement.
He raised his hooves as wing energy gathered, forming a spiral. He slammed down as the lizard sensed danger. It dodged, but he still managed to carve two holes in its long mouth.
"You dare attack me? I am currently fulfilling a task given by the King. Scram if you value your life."
The lizard hissed, but he didn't answer, and intensified his attack, seeing the lizard's eyes glowed a green color as a barrier covered his figure.
He slammed his horn against the barrier as it creaked and seemed to break, seeing the barrier shatter so easily, the lizard's eyes widened as its heart shook.
It stopped its supply of mana subconsciously, then it noticed its mistake. The barrier that had supposedly broken slowly faded.
He realized that he had fallen into an illusion, but he didn't even have time to regret as the dear hooves slammed its head, shredding it to bits.
Shank(Mirage Deer) didn't waste a moment as he opened his mouth, creating a wing blade as he sliced the lizard's belly open. Putting aside the internal organs that fell, he took out the green gem in its belly.

Looking at the item, his eyes widened, and he also felt regret. Looking at the dead lizard's body, he gave another stomp. Such a great item, and it destroyed it.
Putting his regret aside, he stomped on the ground and started to run. He didn't know what would happen next, but since his script asked him to run, he would run.
A few minutes later, he left a white furred tiger at the peak of Elite Beast Rank and walked toward the corpse.
"Isn't it the bloodline of the king of this area, who is so brave to do this?"
The tiger asked with a tone of surprise and amusement. After all, as a subordinate of the Wind Chasing Tiger King, he would be happy to see one of his enemies suffer.
Looking at the body, he gave a small laugh as he walked toward the base of the mountain. He was on a routine mission, so he should complete it.
Atop the mountain, the dragon that had just calmed its anger sensed something. It turned its head toward the northwest direction as it sensed the death of its kin.
His suppressed anger exploded; before his attendants could say anything, he flapped his wings and flew in that direction.
Just the death of a kin wouldn't have angered him so much, but this kin was special. Not only was it his direct bloodline, but he had also given it a special task.
As a wind elemental monster, when he had gone to another beast king's territory for trade, he had sensed the wind elemental spirit.
At the time, he kept the information in his heart; after all, such information should not be leaked. After all, a Spirit means that he would have Transcendent Rank battle power.
Whether he consumed it himself or formed a contract, there would have been gain only. Thus, he sent his kin on its routine mission and also gave this task.
He wanted his kin to safely bring the wind element spirit core back, but now even this plan failed. How could he not be angry?
"RWRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!"
