Kia woke up to the warm sunlight streaming into his room. He got dressed in his combat suit, the fabric hugging his lean frame. His gold eyes sparkled as he shook his head, making his blond long hair wave back. His mother helped him tie it with a hand-made band.
He picked up his sword and headed to the base. The morning air was crisp as he walked in.
At the base, Instructor Jin was waiting. "Kia, you're with Fire Hammer team. Let's move."
Instructor Jin led Kia to the team's briefing room. Axel "The Beast", Mika "The Whisper", Zeke "The Storm", and Nova "The Vixen" were gearing up.
Instructor Jin stood before them. "Alright, listen up! Mission's in Shadowforest. Bio team collecting samples went dark. Comms are jammed. We gotta get in, get 'em out. Now."
The team nodded, gearing up.
"Axel, you lead point. Mika, scout ahead. Zeke, watch our tech. Nova, cover our six. Kia, stick with me," Instructor Jin barked.
The team moved out, into the dark depths of Shadowforest. Shadows twisted. Leaves whispered.
"Split up, find the bio team," Jin said.
As they fanned out...
They kept searching for clues in the Forest. Immediately, a beast appeared. Jin said, "Leave it to Kia."
Kia smiled, looking at the beast as it came. Kia struck its legs, numbing it, and then struck its neck, cutting it in two.
Just as he turned, a hulking Beast Soldier burst from the underbrush, eyes glowing like embers. Its claws raked the air.
Kia drew his sword. With a swift cut, ice crystals formed along the blade. _Shing_ He took the Beast Soldier down with two strikes. Ice shards exploded where he slashed.
"...Wow," Axel "The Beast" breathed. "Ice and Snow Sabre."
Instructor Jin nodded. "Kia, you okay?"
Kia nodded, breathing steady. "Senior Beast Soldier," he said, eyes on the carcass.
"We warriors put monsters in different ranks: soldiers, officers, generals," Instructor Jin said.
Zeke "The Storm" checked a tablet. I have transferred them too your communication watch Kia looked at his Hiaxin university Su Lena,
Instructor Jin's eyes narrowed as Zeke mentioned Lena. "Lena... what is she doing here?"
The captain looked at Kia, expression serious. "Looks like your person is among them. We'll rescue all, at all cost."
Axel growled, "Let's move."
Mika called out, "Captain, look what I found!"
Instructor Jin turned. "What is this? Ultrasonic device?"
Zeke "The Storm" examined it. "Been transmitting frequencies humans can't hear. That's why there are so many monsters here. Someone's using it to attract them."
Axel growled, "Huya squad. The Zhuo family... again."
Instructor Jin's jaw clenched. "Let's move."
As they entered the ruins of City 0201, a Huya squad member watched them from a building top, reporting in.
The Fire Hammer team moved quickly, checking abandoned houses for survivors. "There are more Ultrasonic devices. Need to be careful," Zeke said.
They finished searching, regrouping in the final room. Kia saw the transmitter used to contact the bio team. "Look like they were attacked by beasts due to the Ultrasonic device. There must be casualties..."
As they headed deeper, monsters swarmed the streets. Kia asked, "What..."
Zeke replied, "Looks like we missed some devices. Meanwhile, it's the Huya group that set them there."
The team ran, beasts closing in. "Why running?" they heard.
Lena was being chased by a beast, about to be eaten...
Kia sprinted to her rescue. He carried her to safety as the rest grabbed the research equipment, running.
As they ran, they burst into an abandoned building, beasts hot on their heels. The Fire Hammer team fought to clear the room.
Kia moved like a whirlwind, Ice and Snow Sabre slicing through beasts. He was good - looked like an experienced fighter.
Instructor Jin nodded in approval, fighting alongside his team. As a beast almost attacked Lena...
Kia's eyes flashed. He whistled sharply - a flying cuter swooped from nowhere, slicing the beast's throat. _Zzip_
Instructor Jin's eyes widened in surprise. "I didn't know you know how to use flying cuter..."
Kia quickly cut the conversation short, focusing on the fight. "More coming! Move!"
The team fought clear, regrouping in a corner. Instructor Jin glanced at Kia, curious, but said nothing.
Lena breathed hard, eyes on Kia. "Thanks..."
Kia nodded, keeping his focus on the fight.
_The captain's curiosity lingered, but Kia kept it a secret: he was a Spirit master._
Behind the scene, the Huya team watched from shadows. Captain Zhuo Ming nodded. "They are really strong, especially Jin and that girl. But we must kill Kia... he is a hidden danger."
Viper suggested, "Why don't we just kill Jin and the rest of the team?"
Zhuo Ming replied, "Aye, what a grand idea."
Huya team members readied:
- _Viper "The Sneak"_ smiled coldly.
- _Hammer "The Crusher"_ cracked knuckles.
- _Shadow_ handled a sniper.
Zhuo Ming's eyes narrowed. "We will take them all down."
The Huya team was ready for the attack...
Meanwhile, Kia and the Fire Hammer team were still fighting beasts in the building. "We need to get out," Instructor Jin said.
Kia nodded. "This way."
As they moved...
The Huya team fired gunshots at them, blocking their way. They decided to take cover, but Zhuo Ming wanted them dead immediately. He fired a bomb. At that moment, a bullet touched one of the team's hands. He shouted and grinned in pain.
Kia held him, drawing him to the side. "Axel, are you okay?" he said, concerned.
Axel was in pain. Kia shouted, "Lena, where are you?"
She said, "I'm here," coughing due to the smoke.
Zeke carried Axel, and they were all departing for the route to retreat when they found out it was destroyed by Huya squad.
Jin shouted, "Zhuo Ming!"
He looked up as he saw them. The sniper said, "They found us, captain."
Zhuo Ming said to him, "Don't worry."
As he looked in the other direction, three beast officers were heading their way - Black Snake, Iron Bull, and Titanic Scorpion.
They laughed, saying, "They are doomed."
Kia looked back at the sight. So many beast officers.
Jin said, "We are doomed."
