Chapter 12 - Unleashing the spirit

As the beasts closed in, Instructor Jin's voice boomed, "Run!" The team sprinted forward, their feet pounding the ground in unison. Kia's eyes flashed, and his aura surged. He raised his hand, and a swarm of flying cutters materialized, whizzing through the air with deadly precision. The beasts lunged, but Kia's cutters sliced them apart, clearing a path.

Axel, Zec, and Nova's eyes widened in awe. "You're a Spirit Master!" they shouted in unison.

Kia's gaze snapped back to the team. "No time for that!" he growled, his voice low and urgent.

Instructor Jin pointed to a nearby building. "Top floor, now!"

They burst through the entrance, taking the stairs two at a time. On the rooftop, they collapsed, gasping for air. Zec quickly assessed Axel's wound – his right arm was severed it looks very bad zec quickly bandage his hand to stop the bleeding but stoped bleading in a minute they where ready to live but they wanted to say something

But Mika gapped them to it

As they caught their breath, Mika turned turned to Kia, eyes wide with admiration. "Wow, you're a Spirit Master?" He was in aww but was still concerned

Was going to tell you all but could not find the perfect time yet

Kia glanced around cautiously. " I Hope you guys can help me keep it a secret."

Instructor Jin placed a reassuring hand on Kia's shoulder. "We are all in this together, Kia. We will thrive together."

Mika said we are a team after all

The team nodded in agreement. Kia walked over to Lena, who was looking exhausted. "Hey, you okay?"

Lena managed a weak smile. "I'm fine, thanks."

Jin's expression turned serious. "We need to leave, now. To the city base borders."

As they prepared to descend, a golden-haired wolf beast appeared on the rooftop, its eyes fixed on them. A mid-level beast officer, its power radiated through the air.

Jin's jaw clenched. "We need to leave, now."

Kia's eyes narrowed. "Looks like this was why the Huya team came to City 0201."

A smirk spread across Kia's face. "I'll handle it."

Jin protested, "It's too powerful—"

But Kia was already moving, flying cutters at the ready. "I can do this."

Nova nodded, a sly grin spreading across her face. "Let him do it. He's a Spirit Master, after all."

Kia leapt from the rooftop, landing with a soft thud. The wolf beast charged, and Kia drew his Sabre. The air was electric with tension as they clashed.

The battle was intense, with neither giving an inch. But Kia's Spirit energy surged, and his flying cutters danced around him. With a final burst of power, he struck the beast down.

The team approached cautiously, eyes wide with awe. Zeke whistled, examining the beast's remains. "Wow..."

"What is it?" Nova asked, curiosity piqued.

Zeke pulled out a chip from the beast's eye socket. "No wonder they were chasing it. This will fetch us a fortune."

Jin's expression turned grim. "Let's get out of here, now."

As they fled, Zhou Ming and his team appeared, eyes blazing with fury. "They shouldn't have gone far," Zhou Ming growled, his voice dripping with venom.

The Huya team's eyes scanned the area, searching for their quarry. "Let's get them," Viper whispered, a cold smile spreading across his face.

As they reached the outskirts of the city, the Huya team appeared, eyes blazing with anger. Kia, Jin, and the others readied themselves for a fight.

But before they could clash, a stern voice cut through the air. "Drop your weapons, now! Or we will open fire!"

The Xin military captain's voice was like a cold slap, and the Huya team reluctantly backed down, seething with rage.

Jin nodded, a hint of relief on his face. "Let's go."

As they departed, Zeke muttered, "Even if we report this to the bureau, no real evidence..."

The team nodded, understanding the unspoken truth.

Their next stop was the military base, where Axel's severed arm was being examined by a doctor. The verdict was grim: Axel couldn't fight again.

Axel's face crumbled, and the team surrounded him, offering words of comfort. "Hey, it's okay, Axe. You'll be an instructor, train the next gen."

The team hugged him, a bittersweet moment.

Days passed, and they sold the chip, splitting the massive profit equally – except for Axel, who received a larger share.

As they parted ways, pockets heavy with cash, the team knew this was just the beginning of their journey.
