The command dome of M.E.G. Base Alpha had descended into pure chaos.
Daniel Voss knelt in the center of the shattered floor, blood tears streaming endlessly from his eyes. The golden baton in his hands pulsed erratically, unleashing uncontrolled waves of the Symphony of Dominion. The summoned souls scattered in confusion as their master attacked everything around him — walls, floor, empty air — his laughter and sobs blending into a broken, terrifying sound.
Sanity: 1 HP.
He was rampaging.
A soft, gentle footstep echoed through the madness.
From the shadows of a half-collapsed corridor emerged a woman in a flowing white dress. The fabric was pristine, untouched by blood or corruption. Her long silver hair cascaded down her back, and her eyes — a soft, luminous blue — carried an ancient calm.
She moved through the storm of golden notes and rampant power as though walking through a gentle breeze.
The woman stopped a few meters away from Daniel and spoke with a quiet, melodic voice:
"Enough, Conductor. You have carried too much for too long."
Daniel's head snapped toward her. His eyes were wild, unfocused.
"Who… are you…?" he rasped, blood dripping from his lips.
She smiled softly, a gentle and sorrowful expression.
"My name is Jeanne du Blanche. I have watched from the edges of the Backrooms for a very long time."
She extended one delicate hand toward him.
Daniel swung the golden baton wildly in her direction. A chaotic blast of golden energy tore toward her.
Jeanne did not flinch.
She simply waved her hand once. The blast dissolved into harmless golden sparks before it could reach her.
"You are breaking," she said kindly. "Your sanity is at its limit. If you continue like this, you will become something even worse than the Party Creators."
She took another step closer.
"Come with me. Let me take you somewhere safe where you can restore yourself."
Daniel tried to resist, but his body was no longer fully his own. The rampancy had consumed too much.
Jeanne reached out and gently placed her hand on his forehead.
A soft white light enveloped them both.
The golden baton stopped pulsing erratically. The summoned souls froze in place, then slowly faded away as Daniel lost the strength to maintain Soul Command.
In a single, graceful motion, Jeanne du Blanche teleported them both out of the devastated Base Alpha.

They reappeared in a quiet, untouched pocket dimension.
It was a small, sunlit meadow surrounded by gentle hills. A crystal-clear stream flowed nearby. The sky was a soft, endless blue — nothing like the oppressive ceilings of the Backrooms. The air smelled of fresh grass and wildflowers.
Daniel collapsed onto the soft grass, the golden baton slipping from his fingers.
Jeanne knelt beside him, her white dress pooling around her like spilled moonlight. She placed both hands gently on either side of his head.
"Rest now," she whispered. "I will help you recover your sanity."
A warm, soothing white light flowed from her palms into Daniel's mind.
Slowly, painfully, the rampancy began to recede. The blood tears slowed. His breathing steadied. The chaotic golden notes around him faded into gentle, harmonious music.
Jeanne du Blanche looked down at him with quiet compassion.
"You have carried the weight of thousands of souls and the expectations of the Pantheon. No one should bear that alone. Not even a Conductor."
Daniel's eyes fluttered open, still bloodshot but slowly clearing.
"Who… are you really?" he whispered.
Jeanne smiled softly.
"A friend. An observer. Someone who believes the Backrooms can still be saved… not through endless war, but through balance."
She brushed a strand of hair from his forehead.
"Sleep, Daniel. When you wake, your sanity will be restored. Then we can speak of what comes next."
Daniel's eyelids grew heavy. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, the overwhelming pressure in his mind began to ease.
As he drifted into a deep, healing sleep, Jeanne du Blanche remained by his side, watching over him in the peaceful meadow.
The Conductor had been saved from himself.
But the war against the remaining Party Creators — and the unknown dark entity from his vision — was far from over.
And now, a mysterious woman in white had entered the story.
