Chapter 53 - The Name of the Killer

Jeanne du Blanche and Daniel Voss stood at the threshold where the peaceful meadow met the stabilized corridor leading back to the surviving remnants of M.E.G. Base Alpha. The white light of the pocket dimension was beginning to fade, but Jeanne did not release his hand yet.

She looked at him with deep sorrow and quiet resolve.

"Before I let you go, Conductor, there is one final truth I must give you. The vision you saw… the one in which Vannia dies… was not a vague possibility. It was a clear thread in the tapestry of what is to come."

Daniel's grip tightened on the golden baton. His voice was low and steady, but tension ran beneath it.

"Who kills her?"

Jeanne's luminous blue eyes met his without flinching.

"Another system user. One who was once human, like you. He is known only as **Allseer** — the host of the Allseer System."

She continued, her voice soft yet heavy with warning:

"He was not always this way. He began as an ordinary wanderer who received an extremely rare and dangerous system variant. The Allseer System does not grant power through combat or survival alone. It grants **omniscience** — the ability to see every possible future, every hidden truth, every weakness in reality itself. Over time, the constant flood of knowledge consumed him. He no longer sees people. He sees only threads, probabilities, and obstacles."

Jeanne's expression darkened.

"Allseer has become something far more dangerous than the Party Creators or even the Red Knight. He believes the only way to achieve perfect order in the Backrooms is to eliminate every variable that introduces chaos. To him, the Chosen Ones — especially those close to you — are the greatest variables of all. He has already begun moving in the shadows, weaving futures where the Pantheon's champions fall one by one."

She squeezed Daniel's hand gently.

"In the vision you saw, Vannia dies because she stands between Allseer and you. She will try to protect you, and he will see her as the final obstacle that must be removed. He does not hate her. He simply calculates that her death is the most efficient path to his goal."

Daniel's jaw tightened. Blood still faintly stained his cheeks from earlier, but his eyes were now clear and burning with quiet fury.

"Where is he now?" he asked.

"I do not know his exact location," Jeanne replied. "Allseer moves through the gaps between levels, always one step ahead of prediction. But he is watching. He has already seen this conversation. He knows you now carry this knowledge."

She stepped back slightly, the white light around her beginning to dim.

"Be careful, Daniel. Allseer does not fight with brute force or immortal laughter. He fights with perfect foresight. He will strike at the exact moment when your guard is lowest — when protecting Vannia means exposing yourself, or when saving her costs the lives of others."

Jeanne offered one final, gentle smile.

"You are the Conductor. Use your symphony not only to fight, but to protect the ones you care for. The future is not fixed… but Allseer will do everything in his power to make his calculated outcome the only one that remains."

The last traces of the pocket dimension dissolved completely.

Daniel now stood alone in the corridor, the golden baton heavy in his hand and the name **Allseer** burned into his mind.

Vannia's death was no longer just a nightmare.

It had a face.

It had a name.

And somewhere in the endless layers of the Backrooms, the host of the Allseer System was already moving — calculating the exact moment when he would strike.

Daniel exhaled slowly, wiped the last traces of dried blood from his face, and walked toward the others.

The war had gained a new, invisible enemy.

One who saw everything.

One who planned everything.

And one who had already marked Vannia for death.
