Argos stood motionless in the center of the circular chamber, thousands of eyes fixed on Daniel with absolute certainty.
It did not speak at first.
It simply raised one massive, multi-eyed hand.
With a single, casual flick of its finger — as effortless as brushing away a speck of dust — the creature did something impossible.
The platinum-white glow of **Unlimited Immune All** around Daniel flickered.
Then it shattered.
```
[Critical Alert]
Absolute Immunity (Unlimited) – Temporarily Nullified for this battle only
Source: Argos – All-Watcher Authority
Effect: All conceptual, ontological, and existential defenses disabled
Duration: Until the battle ends or Argos is defeated
```
Daniel felt it instantly.
The invisible fortress that had protected him from everything — from the Red Knight's punch, from the Party Creators' laughter, from Yogiri's instant death, from Anos's conceptual destruction — was gone.
For the first time since he had unlocked the ability, Daniel Voss was vulnerable.
Argos's countless eyes narrowed in perfect unison.
"I have seen every future," it said calmly. "In all of them where you rely on your immunity, you lose. So I removed it. Now the battle is fair."
The creature's body began to shift. New eyes bloomed across its torso. Its voice echoed from every direction at once.
"You are no longer untouchable, Conductor. Your Symphony of Dominion, your Immortal Beam, your Soul Command — they are all still dangerous. But now they must actually work against me."
Daniel's grip on the golden baton tightened. Golden notes swirled around him, but they felt different now — heavier, more fragile without the safety net of Unlimited Immune All.
Argos took one slow step forward. The obsidian floor cracked beneath its weight.
"I already know how this ends in 99.98% of all timelines," it continued. "You will try to conduct. You will try to summon your souls. You will try to use the Immortal Beam. And in the end… you will fall."
Hundreds of eyes blinked at once.
"But there is that 0.02%. The sliver of possibility where you surprise even me."
Argos spread its arms wide, revealing even more eyes hidden beneath layers of shifting flesh.
"So show me, Daniel Voss. Show me the version of you that can win without your precious immunity."
The Lost Corridor seemed to hold its breath.
Daniel stood alone, no longer shielded by Absolute Immunity, facing a creature that had already witnessed every possible outcome of the battle.
The golden baton glowed in his hand.
The true test of the Conductor had begun.
Without his greatest defense.
Against an opponent who already knew how he would lose.
