Chapter 58 - The Battle Without Immunity

Daniel stood alone in the circular chamber of the Lost Corridor, the golden baton held tightly in his right hand. The comforting weight of Unlimited Immune All was gone. For the first time since becoming the Conductor, he felt truly exposed.

Argos loomed before him, its towering body covered in thousands of unblinking eyes that had already seen every possible version of this fight.

"I have removed your greatest shield," Argos spoke, its layered voice calm and certain. "Now let us see what remains."

Daniel didn't waste time on words.

He flicked the golden baton in a sharp upward arc.

**Symphony of Dominion** activated at full power. Golden musical notation exploded outward, attempting to rewrite the local rules of the chamber — slowing Argos, suppressing its observation, amplifying his own strikes.

Argos simply watched.

Hundreds of eyes blinked at once.

In that single moment, every possible future where the Symphony succeeded was discarded. The golden notes faltered mid-air, weakened by the sheer weight of Argos's perfect foresight.

Daniel lunged forward, baton swinging like a conductor's command. A concentrated blast of amplified Pestilence Type 3 shot toward the creature.

Argos flicked one finger.

The plague lightning dissolved before it could even reach its target.

"You still don't understand," Argos said softly. "I have already seen this attack fail 4,291 times. I know exactly how you will move. I know the exact moment your grip will loosen. I know when your confidence will crack."

The multi-eyed guardian raised both hands.

Thousands of eyes glowed simultaneously.

Reality around Daniel began to fracture. Every possible future where he won was being pruned away in real time. The chamber itself started to warp, showing brief glimpses of futures where Daniel lay broken on the floor, where Vannia died alone, where Allseer stood victorious.

Daniel gritted his teeth and summoned his legion.

**Soul Command** activated.

Hundreds of translucent souls materialized — Hounds, Smilers, fallen Outpost Killers, fragments of the Red Knight — all enhanced under his conduction.

They charged as one.

Argos simply observed.

In less than three seconds, every possible future where the souls overwhelmed it was eliminated. The legion's coordinated assault faltered. Some souls froze mid-strike. Others turned on each other as Argos rewrote their directives with nothing more than its gaze.

Daniel pushed forward, swinging the baton in a desperate descending strike aimed at Argos's core.

The creature didn't even move to block.

It simply let the strike land.

The baton connected… and did almost nothing. Without Unlimited Immune All protecting him, Daniel's own momentum worked against him. The backlash from Argos's perfect defense sent him skidding backward across the obsidian floor.

Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth.

Argos tilted its head, thousands of eyes narrowing.

"See? In 99.99% of all futures, this is how it ends. You fight bravely. You give everything. And still… you fall."

Daniel wiped the blood from his lips, breathing heavily.

He raised the golden baton again, eyes burning with defiance.

"Then I'll just have to create the 0.01%."

The battle continued.

Argos, the All-Watcher, already knew every outcome.

But Daniel Voss, the Conductor, refused to accept any future where he lost.

The Lost Corridor watched in silence as the two forces clashed — one who saw everything, and one who was determined to rewrite it.
