Rollings Designs - A few hours later
"What are you doing?" Jonathan asked me.
"I'm opening Alex's acquisition records again," I said.
"That unnamed blue gemstone keeps popping in my mind,"
I pulled every historical document that was ever connected to his company.
But this time I searched particularly for a blue gemstone.
I also looked for blue historical jewelry, any private blue gemstone collection or a missing piece.
Even any unregistered acquisition.
Finally results began appearing on my screen.
Not many, but enough to begin.
I realized Alex's interest in rare gemstones went back years.
I noticed he dug into different companies.
Different years.
Different owners.
Yet…now a pattern seems to appear.
He repeatedly investigated blue rare gemstones.
Some he managed to purchase.
Some he never found.
Some were acquired by other private collectors before Alex could reach them.
Then I compared the dates.
