I finished my morning workout—a routine that's become second nature over the last two weeks—and wiped myself down with a dry towel. I grabbed a glass of lemonade from the cooler (with a helpful Pengullet chilling nearby) and downed it in one go.
"Damn, that's the last of the lemonade." My supplies are dwindling down to apple juice and a single bottle of Pepsi. It should last the week, though. I don't plan on staying in this world much longer.
Time is money, or in this case, reality. Three weeks here equals only thirty minutes back home.
I headed to the first floor, went behind the stairs, and "disassembled" the wall of my hidden room. Inside was a massive, steel-rimmed chest. I transferred all my accumulated gold and valuables into my personal inventory and restored the hideout.
While eating breakfast, I pulled up my status.

Shopping in the Autumn Village
I tested my new Pals—Blazamut and Anubis are absolute monsters. Then, I teleported to the "Autumn Village."
The local guards recognized me and let me through. I headed straight for the merchant's shop.
"Michael! Your order is in," the merchant said, grunting as he hauled a heavy crate onto the counter.
Inside were: 24 Refined Ingots, 20 Polymers, 12 Circuit Boards, 50 Carbon Fibers, and a detailed atlas of the archipelago.
"Total comes to 51,000 gold," he said.
I felt my wallet cry. I had to trade a bunch of precious gems and high-tier loot from my hunts to cover the difference.
Next, I hit the Pal Merchant. I bought a Dumud and a Univolt to round out my collection.
Back at base, I stood before the Ancient Technology Workbench.
I placed the dented Iron Man Mark 2 armor on the table. It felt wrong to hit high-tech Stark gear with a primitive hammer, but in this world, "Game Logic" is law.
I struck the chest plate. A blue glow enveloped the suit.
Half my expensive materials vanished, but the armor shimmered as if it had just come off the assembly line. Every dent, every acid burn—gone.
"Praise the Ancients," I whispered, sliding the suit into my inventory.
I've got my gear fixed, my legendary Pals ready, and a map of the Faction Towers.
Time to kick some boss-tier ass and finish the tutorial.
Michael's Goals:
Defeat the first Tower Boss.
