"Based on my predictions, the new Piccolo will likely choose to challenge Broly publicly at the next World Martial Arts Tournament."
"He wants to prove himself—and avenge his father in front of the entire world."
"That stage would be the perfect place to demonstrate power and settle grudges."
Goku shook his head.
"I don't think Broly would participate in the tournament."
He spoke confidently based on his understanding of Broly.
"In the last two tournaments, Krillin and I both competed."
"Broly wasn't even interested in watching."
"Grandpa had to drag him there by force."
"So there's no way he'd actually enter the tournament."
"Exactly," Kami said with a faint smile.
"And that is another important reason I called you here."
"Broly may not participate."
"But you can."
"If Piccolo appears and Broly does not, then you can represent him."
"You can defeat the new Piccolo in a fair fight at the World Martial Arts Tournament."
"I understand!" Goku nodded firmly.
His eyes became serious and determined.
Goku Accepts the Responsibility
"Mr. Popo and I cannot fight him directly," Kami continued.
He gestured toward himself and Mr. Popo.
"Our positions and the rules prevent us from doing so."
"So the responsibility of defeating him and protecting Earth…"
"…must shift from the possibly absent Broly to you."
"What do you say, Son Goku?"
"Are you willing to take on this responsibility?"
"No problem!" Goku replied immediately.
"Leave it to me!"
"I'll train hard here!"
"I'll become stronger than Broly!"
"And I'll defeat the new Piccolo to protect everyone!"
"Good," Kami said with satisfaction.
"You have strong determination."
Inside his heart, Kami felt relieved.
This boy is simple, focused, and motivated.
Much easier to guide than that lazy Broly.
If Broly came here…
He would probably turn the Lookout into a second Kame House.
Eating and sleeping all day…
Goku's Urgent Problem
"But before we start training…"
Goku's serious expression suddenly collapsed.

Mr. Popo lowered his head silently.

"I wonder how strong Goku will be when he returns."
"Broly," Bulma suddenly asked.
"Why didn't you go?"
"That was such an amazing opportunity."
Broly leaned back on the couch.
He calmly bit into an apple.
"Boring."
He didn't even raise his eyes.
"Training is tiring and dull."
"Eating well and sleeping well every day…"
"That's the best way to enjoy life."
He took another big bite of the apple.
Juice ran down as he smiled with satisfaction.
Bulma covered her face.
She didn't know what to say anymore.
When you think about it…
That logic kind of makes sense…
"Broly really understands how to enjoy life!" Launch said dreamily.
She clasped her hands and gazed at him with shining eyes.
"I love boys who live freely and don't compete with others."
"Even the way he eats an apple…"
