People are not the same They are divided. Not by strength, nor by fate But by the nature of their minds.
There are those whose minds are drowned in desire , They see nothing beyond their immediate gain their fleeting pleasures.
They exhaust themselves chasing it,
using every ounce of strength, every fragment of will,
to seize what satisfies them now.
Then there are those whose minds are awake But clouded by ignorance They strive toward good, speak of virtue, pursue righteousness yet they stumble.
Again.
And again.
Because they were never fully formed to begin with. You will find them among the ignorant masses…
and among corrupt scholars alike , And then There are those whose minds burn with intelligence.
Sharp. Brilliant.
But blind to what lies beyond They chase worldly gain through knowledge itselfthrough wisdom, reputation, refined speech, sacred appearances.
Yet their hearts remain untouched.
Cold.
Unfulfilled They have not tasted truth. Not truly.
Finally There are the rare ones , Those whose minds are illuminated Touched by something unseen
a subtle grace A hidden selection.
They walk through this world as if dreaming Yet awaken in what lies beyond They are present… and absent , Together… and alone.
Each of these walks a different path , Each carries a different burden As they moved deeper into the cave. The whispers returned.
Now clearer.
More precise.
Speaking of things that should not be understood , Alaric listened. And understood.Because he had seen too much , Lived too much.Survived too much.,.A question echoed within him:
*Do we truly make our choices…*
*or do they shape what we become?*
His answer came without hesitation.
*Only those of true worth… act by their own will.*
And Alaric Was one of them..A laugh broke the silence.
Twisted.
Playful.
"Hehehe… I've found you."
In an instant Alaric moved.
Fast.
Precise.
He stopped before it., A flame Blue.Burning without heat , Shaped like a phoenix Its presence was unnatural.
Alive.
Watching.
Alaric smiled , Not with joy But with certainty.
"Do not fall victim to excessive idealism," he said calmly.
"And do not believe that speaking the truth will bring you closer to people."
The flame flickered.
"People love no, reward those who can lull them into comforting illusions."
His eyes sharpened.
"Since ancient times…"
"Humanity has punished only those who speak the truth."
A step forward.
"If you wish to remain among them…"
"Share their illusions."
A pause Then Cold., Final.
"Truth… is spoken only by those who are ready to leave."
The phoenix pulsed.
"And you…"
Alaric raised his hand.
"You will leave."
"…Activation."
A whisper.
"Tranquil Soul Level Four."
"Light."
The cave erupted , A massive aura of pure radiance burst from Alaric's body Illuminating the endless darkness , The light did not spread., It **consumed**.
The blue flames resisted For a moment , Then.
**BOOM.**
The light devoured them Like a predator swallowing prey , The phoenix shrieked Not in sound But in existence And then.It began to fade Alaric watched , Smiling.
"A man who shields himself from every wind…"
"Who keeps his feet always warm…"
"Who isolates himself from discomfort…"
The light intensified.
"Will fall to the weakest breeze."
The flames shattered.
"Excess is always dangerous."
"But nothing is worse than excessive comfort."
Silence fell.
"It dulls the mind…"
"Blurs the line between truth and falsehood…"
The fire vanished Leaving behind A small object.
A red seed Like a bean Alaric bent down , Picked it up.
"…That was easier than expected."
A faint smirk.
"A shark is always a fish…"
"But not every fish is a shark."
Alaric turned And moved instantly toward where Jacob had been , Empty.
"…What?"
His eyes narrowed.
"…Where did he go?"
Impossible Jacob couldn't even see in this darkness , Then He saw it , The necklace. On the ground.
"…No."
A surge of gray aura erupted around him.
"…Damn it."
He focused Extending his perception , Nothing.
"…Why can't I sense him?"
His tracking range extended nearly a full kilometer There was no way Jacob had gone that far Then It hit him A presence Not human , Not natural.
**Demonic.**
"…James?"
A pause , Then Realization.
"…No."
His eyes widened.
"…This is stronger."
For the first time Alaric hesitated.
"…Impossible…"
A memory surfaced.
A voice.
Someone dear.
"If you are not willing to use power to protect what you value…"
"Then prepare yourself to endure loss."
His jaw tightened.
"…He might be in danger."
A breath.
"…And he's my responsibility."
This time His words were real.
He reached into his coat Pulled out a ring., Black Engraved with a six-pointed star.
He placed it on his finger It didn't sit on his hand , It merged , A deep breath.
"…Alright."
And then He vanished.
Was it teleportation?
Or speed beyond perception?
No one could tell.
At the heart of the cave , He found him.
Jacob sat on the ground , Facing a wall Rocking back and forth Whispering , Unintelligible words.
"…Jacob."
No response.
"…Jacob!"
Alaric's voice echoed sharply.
Silence.
Then Jacob spoke. But it was not his voice.
Rough.
Deep.
Ancient.
"The boy is… out of coverage."
A chill ran through Alaric's entire body.
"…Who are you?"
A pause.
Then.
"You may call me…"
The air trembled.
"The Great One."
Jacob's body stood A dark aura surrounded him Black , Lined with red.
Alive.
In a single step , He was behind Alaric A hand gripped his head , Hard.
"A wolf… wearing the skin of a sheep."
Alaric didn't move.
Didn't dare turn.
"I have plans for you…"
A whisper Right beside his mind.
"So stop restraining your power."
Silence.
And then It was gone Just like that.
Alaric felt his legs weaken , He dropped to his knees.
"…What… was that…?"
His breath was unsteady For the first time Truly shaken.
"…I need to report this…"
A pause.
"…to the Leader."
Deep within the cave Beyond light , Beyond reason , Something had awakened , And it was no longer waiting.
