Italy, a coastal town
I was looking at Grayfia in front of me, and… she was really beautiful.
"Cassien, are you okay?"
I cleared my throat lightly: "I'm fine, you just look really beautiful."
Her face flushed a little, and she extended her hand.
Hand holding before marriage? I'm in.
I held her hand: "I'm really happy I could finally go on a date with you. I thought you wouldn't give me a chance."
"Maybe I can get to know you better," she said, gripping my hand tightly and leading me to a clothing store: "You always wear the same style. Come on, let me help you add something to your wardrobe," she said and picked out a few suits.
The ones she chose were a mix of red and black…
When I tried them on, I looked like Dante.
I left my hair a bit messy, and now I really look like Dante.
"Did you like it?" she asked, standing proudly beside me.
I smiled: "I liked it a lot… Now it's your turn," I said, picked out a few dresses, and handed them to her.
She looked surprised.
We left the store with bags.
Then we went to a local pizzeria nearby; there weren't many people.
We sat across from each other: "You know, Cassien, I always thought you were one of those super serious types."
"Aren't you the same? When you're working for Sirzechs, you never smile. You're like a stone statue… I believe I'll get to know you better with this date."
Grayfia rested her chin on her hand and leaned on the table: "Actually, I thought you'd take me to some fancy place—you know, the kind guys do to impress girls?"
"No, I want to get to know you. Just Grayfia… You know, names are what make us who we are. That's why I prefer to address you by your name instead of your title or reputation."
Grayfia's eyes widened: "Y-you're really different. Actually, I want to get to know you, too."
We talked a little about the past together.
I learned that Euclid was thought to have died in the war, and because of that, she now thinks fighting is meaningless and joined Sirzechs.
I told her a little about my own past.
The strange thing was that Grayfia had no hobbies: "Come on, let's go to karaoke."
"I can't sing."
Her face turned red, but I pulled her by the hand and rented a room: "I'll sing, and whether you dance with me or not is up to you."
"Hm."
"Tonight, I wanna give it all to you
In the darkness, there's so much I wanna do
And tonight, I wanna lay it at your feet
'Cause, girl, I was made for you
And, girl, you were made for me
I was made for lovin' you, baby
You were made for lovin' me
And I can't get enough of you, baby
Can you get enough of me? "
I lifted Grayfia and danced with her—we could say we went a little wild.
I was singing "I Was Made for Lovin' You" by KISS.
She seemed to enjoy it because when it ended, she was holding her stomach: "HAHAHAHA I really had so much fun. Come on, let's go somewhere else."
This time, she was the proactive one.
We went to an arcade, and the smile on her face never faded.
I'm wondering if Millicas not being born will cause problems, but I'm not sure.
At least I can be with Grayfia.
This girl has been traumatized, and for centuries, no one has cared about her except fearing her, and even though Sirzechs sometimes tells jokes, I'm the one who treats her like herself.
Just her.
We played on the dance machine at the arcade and did similar things.
When everything was over, it was already night, and we were holding a lot of bags: "I really enjoyed spending time with you."
"Same here. Hanging out like this from time to time could be fun," I said.
But Grayfia came closer and kissed me on the cheek: "This is your reward for now…"
"Does that mean I have a chance?"
Grayfia smiled and winked: "Let's get along well together…"
We both left from there.
