Chapter 37 - First L

One month later

"The defendant Marius Black has been found guilty. Sentence: death sentence."

I was looking at the devil in front of me.

Today, this man's charge was escaping from his master's peerage and killing his master.

But the reason he did it was that his master—despite being a man—his master raped him, and when Marius found the opportunity, he killed him.

When I went to talk to him before the trial, it was clear the man was innocent.

But devil society cared about results, not reasons.

People were crying on the side…

Why are you looking at me like that, Marius …

Marius's hopeful gaze toward me had turned to despair, and tears flowed from his eyes, but the man broke free from the guards and hugged me: "Thank you, Mr. Cassien, for believing in me. Even trying to protect me was enough for me."

I stopped the guards with my hand as they approached.

The man stepped back a little, returned between the guards, was handcuffed, and taken away.

I looked at the judge and the prosecution side.

These were corrupt…

Sons of bitches!!!

You know what? Right now, I want to crash out.

But I'm not stupid.

I kept these people's faces in my memory perfectly.

The deceased was from the Naberius Clan, and if I didn't know their past, I might have understood.

But they were the ones who caused the tragedy of Koneko and Kuroka…

I gave this corrupt judge one last look and went home after losing my first case.

When I got home, the girls were there.

"Cassien, are you okay?" asked Venelana.

I gave her a blank look: "I need to rest a little, girls…"

I passed between them and went to my office, made a phone call, and asked for information about the members of the Naberius family.

After that, I asked them to bring me one person.

Cleria brought me an energy drink: "Cassien, you really don't look well. Did something happen?"

"…It's not important," I said.

The other girls came in too, and Ingvild stopped: "We want to help you, Cassien," said Lavinia.

"WHOEVER HURT YOU, I'LL KILL THEM!!!" Valerie shouted, but Venelana calmed her: "Ahem, girls, now is not the time."

Ingvild lowered her head: "I can help too. I've gotten much stronger in the last month. Trust me."

I looked at the girls' faces and gave a small smile: "Let me tell you."
