If he had had to bet on what would happen after his death, Krom would never have imagined waking up in the world of Dragon Ball as a ghost equipped with an obscene system. He still remembered his end perfectly. Stabbed to death by the cuckolded husband of one of his adventure . The woman had sought refuge in Krom arms, tired of her husband's poor performance… and, true to himself, he had been more than generous, giving her an experience she would not soon forget.
Yet, it was not the end. Just as he thought he had reached death, he awoke in a new world, like some kind of phantom drifting through the void of space.
Before him appeared an interface, called the "Obscenity System." Through it, he discovered that he had transmigrated into the world of Dragon Ball.
However, as a ghost, he could do nothing at first. But he didn't have to wait long before the system offered a solution: it could give him a new body, belonging to a character from another random universe.
With no other choice, he accepted despite the risks of randomness… and initiated the selection.
The interface remained silent for a few seconds. Then, without warning, a wheel appeared before him.Names flashed past his eyes so quickly they were barely visible.Gradually, the names slowed, until it stopped on a single one. That one name brought a smile to his face.
[Congratulations! You have obtained the character template Thragg from Invincible.]
A new body began to form from the void, right before his eyes. He could see each stage of its creation: first the skeleton, followed by nerves and veins. Then came the muscles, the internal organs… and finally, the skin, not forgetting the indestructible mustache of Freddie Mercury, giving rise to a complete form.
Yet, before he could even finish admiring his new body, he was suddenly absorbed by it, instantly merging with it.
[Initiating fusion process with the new host body.]
[An emergency air bubble was placed around the host and his new body.]
In an instant, a flood of memories, none of which were originally his, poured into his mind. Millennia of experiences passed by at a dizzying speed. It was like living countless lives, even though it all belonged to a single person. He remembered every experience, up to the death of that individual.
The sensation of fusion was overwhelming. Every fiber of his new body seemed to vibrate with an unknown yet infinitely powerful energy. He felt his mind expand, adapting to this new temple of flesh and strength.
He took a deep breath and, for the first time, felt air fill his new lungs. A sense of omnipotence washed over him: he could feel the colossal power coursing through every fiber of his body. It was as if he finally possessed a perfect body, capable of anything.
— "Good…" he murmured, a predatory smile stretching across his lips. "...Let's see what you can do."
Thanks to the memories he had acquired, he already knew how to fly, as if he had always been able to.
Yet, he was still far from reaching Thragg's level: for now, he only possessed his potential and memories.
However, one crucial memory returned to him:He was in space… and he had absolutely no idea where he was.
