Chapter 19 - # Chapter 19: The Copy Ninja’s Test (Purple Lightning!)

Training Ground 3 was a wide expanse of forest and river, the morning dew still clinging to the grass.

Naruto and Sasuke were already there, pacing with nervous energy. Ren sat under a large oak tree, his goggles reflecting the morning sun. He was currently browsing the **System Store**, looking for a specific item.

*System, I have 145,000 points. Is there a way to 'extract' potential from a person's future?*

**[Ding! Item: 'Chronos-Lens' (One-time use) - 50,000 Points. Allows the Host to extract a skill the target HAS NOT yet invented, but has the potential to create.]**

*Purchase it.*

**[Ding! Purchase Successful! Remaining Points: 95,000.]**

Just then, a plume of smoke appeared on a nearby post. Kakashi Hatake stood there, reading an orange book, his posture incredibly relaxed.

"Yo," Kakashi said, not looking up. "Sorry I'm late. A black cat crossed my path, so I had to take the long way."

"LIAR!" Naruto and Sasuke shouted in unison.

Kakashi closed his book with a snap. "Anyway... first impressions... you guys are a bunch of brats. But the Hokage seems to think you're special. Let's find out."

He pulled out two silver bells. "The test is simple. Take these bells from me by noon. If you don't... you go back to the Academy. And yes, you should come at me with the intent to kill."

Naruto and Sasuke didn't wait. They moved with the synchronized speed of two rivals who had trained together for years. Naruto used his Shadow Clones to create a chaotic distraction, while Sasuke used his Sharingan to track Kakashi's movements and launch a series of precision fire-style attacks.

Kakashi moved like a ghost, weaving through their attacks with effortless ease. He was a Jonin among Genin—a master of the basics.

But Ren stayed back. He stood under the tree, his hand touching his goggles.

*Activate 'Chronos-Lens'. Target: Kakashi Hatake.*

**[Scanning Future Potential... Detected Skill: 'Purple Lightning' (S-Rank).]**

**[Note: In the original timeline, Kakashi creates this after losing his Sharingan to replace Raikiri. It is a more stable, powerful version of lightning release.]**

*Extract.*

**[Ding! Extraction Started... 10%... 50%... 100%!]**

**[Extraction Successful! You have obtained: Purple Lightning Mastery (S-Rank)!]**

Ren felt a jolt of violet energy surge through his nervous system. It was different from the blue lightning of the standard Raikiri—it was denser, more fluid, and carried a weight that felt like a falling mountain.

"Ren! What are you doing?!" Sasuke shouted as he was knocked back by one of Kakashi's water clones. "Help us!"

Ren stepped forward. He didn't run. He simply walked toward Kakashi.

Kakashi narrowed his eyes. He felt a sudden, massive shift in the atmosphere. The air around Ren began to vibrate, and the grass beneath the boy's feet turned to ash.

"Kakashi-sensei," Ren said, his voice calm. "You've been playing with them. It's time to show me the strength of a legend."

Ren vanished.

He used the 'God-Level Body Flicker' combined with **Jogan Stage 2: Time-Perception.** To Naruto and Sasuke, Ren had simply ceased to exist. To Kakashi, Ren was a blur that was moving *faster* than his Sharingan could track.

Kakashi barely had time to raise his arms in a block.

*CRACK!*

Ren's hand exploded with a violent, terrifying wave of **Purple Lightning.** The sound wasn't the chirping of a thousand birds; it was the low, thunderous roar of a storm cloud.

The impact sent Kakashi skidding back fifty meters, his feet carving deep trenches into the earth. His flak jacket was scorched, and his arms were trembling from the electrical discharge.

"Purple... Lightning?" Kakashi gasped, his mask partially burned away. "That's not a jutsu I know. How... how do you have such high-level nature transformation at twelve?!"

Ren didn't answer. He appeared behind Kakashi, his hand already reaching for the bells.

Kakashi tried to use a Substitution, but Ren's Jogan saw the "Thread of Fate" where Kakashi was planning to teleport. Ren simply adjusted his hand mid-movement, his fingers closing around the cold metal of the bells.

Ren landed gracefully in the center of the field, the bells jingling in his hand.

"Test over, sensei," Ren said, his Jogan fading back to black.

Kakashi stood there, stunned. He looked at the boy, then at his own scorched hands. He realized that the Fourth Hokage hadn't sent him Genin to train. He had sent him a monster to keep a lid on.

"Pass," Kakashi said, his voice unusually serious. "Team 7 is officially formed."
