June 15 1943
Surrounded by mountains covered in snow was a Hydra facility,
On the bases window stood a man overlooking the distant snowy horizon, and that man was Schmidt
Are you ready Dr Zola? asked Schmidt.
As Dr zola was observing the machine, he answered.
My machine requires the most delicate calibration, after a pause he continued, forgive me if I seem overcautious,
Schmidt turned towards Dr zola. Are you certain that those conductors of yours can withstand the energy surge long enough for transference?
With this artifact i am certain of nothing. I fear it may not work at all, Dr. Zola answered honestly
thud!
An ancient wooden box with carved snakes was placed on the table by Schmidt, who then opened it
Suddenly, a dark blue glow came out of the opened box, along with wail like screams. It was the tesseract
Dr. Zola stared at it with awe and a trace of fear, while Schmidt stared at it with pure obsession. He looked like a man who had found absolute power.
Narrator: He, in fact, did find absolute power; what he also found was a power he could not control, which would eventually lead to his demise
After both men stared at it for a moment, they went back to work
Schmidt used a special tool to pick up the glowing cube and inserted it inside Dr. Zola's machine with a mechanical Clack!
Right after, Dr Zola turned on the machine by pulling up the switch and started counting.
Twenty percent,
forty percent
Sixty percent, anxiety creeping in his voice due to the dangerously increasing intensity
stabilizing at seventy percent, he said with relief
However, Schmidt wasn't satisfied with just that and said while approaching Dr. Zola and pulling the switch all the way up. I have not come all this way for safety Doctor
Then the already glowing tesseract in the machine began glowing with even more intensity to the point where sparks of electricity were falling on the surrounding equipment, causing them to malfunction. Ghost-like wails could also be heard, making the two men unsettled
wail!!
spark!!
wail!!
spark!!
spark!!
and then silence
Dr. Zola clearly spooked approached Schmidt and whispered to him. What was that?!
Schmidt, while pointing at a mysterious blue energy that filled the container said. I must congratulate you, Arnim; your designs do not disappoint
Pat!
Schmidt patted Dr. Zola's shoulder and added. Though they may require some slight reinforcement.
Dr. Zola rushed to the filled container to examine it,
The exchange is stable, Amazing. Dr. Zola said surprised and fascinated. It could power my designs, all my designs!!
This will change the war!! said Dr.Zola excited.
No, this will change the world, Schmidt corrected.
Wheaton, New Jersey, Camp Lehigh
June 15 1943
Narrator: Camp Lehigh, one of the many military camps where young men are trained and disciplined in the art of war, it is also a place for the military to distinguish whether you are useful or not
Recruits attention!! said a young woman with a British accent in a dark green military suit, she was none other than Peggy Carter, and strangely, she seemed anxious, as if she was informed of something terrifying.
I need to inform Colonel Phillips about this, she thought, concerned.
When the soldiers heard her, they straightened their bodies like wooden logs
that seemed to bring her back out of her thoughts
Gentlemen, I,m agent carter, after a pause to look at the young men in front of her, she continued. I supervise all operations for this division.
What's with the accent, Queen Victoria? said one of the men as if to mock her
When the young woman heard him, she turned to look at him
The man continued, i though i was signing up for the US Army.
What's your name, soldier asked Carter with a slightly angry tone
Gilmore Hodge, your majest- CRACK!
Thud!
A fast jab to the face silenced the young man
Agent Carter, said a man in a dark green military suit
oops, muttered Carter while turning towards the man who spoke
Colonel Fillips answered Carter with an awkward smile
Narrator: In the distant forest, there was a man. He seemed to be watching the military base, appearing troubled.
Eldrin: If only I could end this war myself, i though with a sigh ~. But sadly, my current power is inefficient. I'm uncertain whether the energy from the tesseract could harm me; even if it couldn't harm me, I am but one man. fighting against a whole army of brainwashed psychopaths is unwise even with my powers, BUT unlike them, i don,t tire. I require neither rest nor substance. No matter how evil or how relentless they could be, in the end, they are stilljust men;they couldn't possibly outlast me in a war of attrition, i though coldly. I will destroy every base, every plan, every leader, even if it takes decades, I WILL wipe them from the face of the planet. I will not let such evil roam around to harm the innocent for their twisted ideology, I thought with anger while remembering the mutants and people they tortured in the far future.
Narrator: The man's anger was so immense that he unconsciously manifested a 4-kilometer-long curtain made of darkness, which should be beyond his current limits. Was it anger or sheer will that allowed him to temporarily break his limits?
With a distorted voice, he declared
THE HUNT BEGINS NOW
Narrator: On that day, for 2 minutes and 32 seconds, the whole forest, including the nearby base, was covered by a curtain of darkness; it was as if the darkness was shielding the people of the base from a great threat
Move! Move! Mov- as the sergeant was shouting to the soldiers, he froze, his voice caught in his throat, staring with wide eyes at the pitch black curtain of darkness above their heads that suddenly appeared, the soldiers' reactions were similar.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON? Colonel Philips' voice was suddenly heard. He then quickly spoke into a radio channel that was connected to the base's missile detection tower. Tower one Do you copy?!
Affirmative, , Connel Philips, answered a man's voice from the radio channel
Please tell me why the fucking sky is covered in Darkness in the middle of the Gah Damn day, are we getting attacked by a new German weapon?! said Colonel Philips with anger and a trace of anxiety evident in his voice
silence~~
12 seconds later, the man on the radio answered
Negative, sir, no missiles detected. He then continued with confusion. This appears to be an undocumented natural phenomenon
Are you Sure? asked Collonel Phillips, clearly still unconvinced. Those Germans tend to pull shit the world has never seen. I wouldn't be surprised if they pull lasers out of their asses.
...
affirmative sir, there is currently no record of any weapon with such capability answered the man on the radio, and then continued explaining, no matter how capable the Germans are, controlling natural phenomena to this degree is simply impossible with current technology.
Understood, said Colonel Philips with relief to the man on the radio. He then turned to the soldiers who were looking at him and shouted, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ALL LOOKING AT ME FOR CONTINUED THE EXERCISE.
Note:From the next chapter, the timeline will start changing a lot, to the point where Hydra may not even exist in the future.Worry not Shield will still exist They will be needed
