Arc 3 chapter 43
Unimaginable chaos has been brought upon Lotus city so suddenly and it looked like a Civil War was now unavoidable as the military was splitted among itself.
The reason for this was because Gaari had already recruited a lot of people from the inside to fight for his cause right under the director's nose. The explosions at the city acted as a signal for Gaari's faction to strike and kill their fellow soldiers in the midst of chaos.
Gaari is a well prepared man when it comes to the art of war and profit. You see Gaari doesn't care about the pride of elves and their racism, no he cares about the profits the this war will have for him. Lotus City is an independent little kingdom of it's own but except for the fact that it's trading routes and resources comes straight from Trysad. Gaari wants to take advantage of this by taking all the trades and resources for himself if the racist faction were to win and use these goods as a hostage and take the city for himself since the faction will have no other choice if they want to live.
This can be done and only done by him alone since he's the head of the financial guild and knows perfectly well how this ups and goes. As long as the racist faction wins, he'll use their own stupidity against them and take over the city and hand it over to the Red Hand.
Now Gaari and Dagen have Alga in the ropes, the last person to get rid of in the peaceful faction of Lotus city.
Alga: you fuckers! Do you have any idea of what you just did?!
Gaari: (calm) I think I do, I planted explosives at the city and killed the director, right?
Alga: you won't survive the military!
Gaari: the military will solve itself for me, I don't have to worry, but rather I must worry about the other director.
Alga: how did you—
Gaari: oh come on, you thought I didn't know about the director's unique ability? He can create three of himself at the same time right?
Alga:.....
Gaari: though I don't know where are the other two, but I'll just have to look extra hard or hold his family hostage? No I don't think that will work until Edwick comes back.
Alga: why?
Gaari: I'm sorry?
Alga: why are you doing this? What's your end game?
Gaari: what use is that information to a dead man?
Alga:....?!
Gaari: (serious face) this is where we part old friend. Lik... Off him.
Lik: (scoffs) oh how I always wanted to kill you myself Alga!
Just when Lik was about to cut Alga's throat a tree root came out from below them and knocked Lik away with heavy force and pulled Alga by force to the lower floors of the castle, Gaari just stood there buffled.
Gaari: Nalik..... It looks like she never left the castle.
Dagen: shouldn't we go after them!
Gaari: no leave them for now.
Lik: (getting up) ugh that hurts! I'll fuck that bitch up the next time I see her... Or I'll play with her first, I mean she's quite the beauty.
Gaari: you're letting your dick think for you again.
Lik: fine I'll just kill her.
Gaari: anyways we need to find the rest of the director. So let's split up from here and the moment you spot him, kill him.
They left the castle and splitted in three different directions to look for the remaining two of the director's clones while keeping tabs of the battlefield that has taken place in the city.
Nalik and Alga were hiding at the lower floors of the castle when Gaari and his group left the castle.
Nalik: it looks they're finally gone.
Alga:... To think that it would come to this? I knew it was about time the racist faction took action, but this soon?
Nalik: yeah and it looks like they even have control of part of the military... This is bad, a lot of innocent lives are gonna be lost because of this squabble.
Alga: shit! I left my kids with Sion at the market area No:4.
Nalik: huh? If it's someone "you" trust with your children, then I'm pretty sure they'll be fine.
Alga: yeah I think so too, but how are we going to stop Gaari? He must have a powerful force backing him if he's this confident.
Nalik:.... Wait! this City has a lot of treasures but if Gaari were to truly want something then...
Alga: Shit! The four forbidden natures! Everyone back at the mansion is in trouble!
Nalik: and Gaari specializes in magic barriers, he can easily break through.
Alga: or have someone more capable than him pass through!
Nalik: then we must hurry before they get their hands on those books!
Alga: (now that I think about it... I have Albert back at the house, but... What if he's still inside the sub dimension? Shit I just need to hurry)
Alga and Nalik left the castle in high speeds as they had straight for the city to get to Alga's mansion, but along the way they had to help innocent citizens evacuate the city and also helping those who were injured or stuck in rubbles of buildings that came crashing down. The city was in chaos and the fighting was not going to cease at anytime.
Sion had taken the two one year old twins at the park when the disaster happened, meaning he had to run around with the kids in his hand and back, to make things more difficult some thugs keep trying to attack him, because he looked like a noble to them and not to mention the twins were wearing really expensive clothing that you cannot miss.
Sion: (while running) dammit! Why didn't Alga give them common clothes for God's sake!
Thug: hey! Stop right there!
Sion: get the heck out of my way! (kicks a stone with high force and hits the thug's torso)
Thug: gwaah! (falls to the ground)
Sion: (charges straight to a little girl who was about to get smashed by a falling tree house and pushes her away to the soft grass nearby and dodges the tree himself) are you okay?
Girl: uh yeah... Thanks to you.
Sion: where are your parents?
Girl:.....
Sion: (gets angry inside) go to the city guards they'll help you.
Girl: okay thanks.... (runs away)
Sion:..... (who ever did this, I'm going to fuck you up!)
Soldier: (approaches Sion) hey! You human piece of trash! Hand over those kids right now.
Sion: I have permission from their parents to look after them, so you don't have to worry.
Soldier: I don't believe you! Hand over right now.
Sion: (annoyed) aren't you on a war? Go and handle your own business.
Soldier: don't make me use force!
Sion: there are tons of kids around who needs your help, why these ones?
Soldier: don't question authority and hand over the kids!
Sion: well isn't that sus? Not happening.
Soldier: (charges straight at Sion with his sword)
Sion: (the sword is not pointing at me?... Don't tell he's trying to kill the kids?) big mistake. [lighting strike LV3]
Soldier: gwaah! (knocked out)
Sion:... This bastard! Something is not right here... A civil war usually doesn't involve soldiers directly attacking innocent people, let alone babies!... Now I really want to kill the bastard responsible for this! But if so... That means I cannot go back to the mansion since someone is clearly trying to assassinate these kids... But where should I go?
Leo: I wanna go home to Mama!
Rio: yes! Mama!
Sion: me too, but I got a better idea!
Leo: really?
Rio: really?
Sion: yeah it's a fun game! I run around leeping over these buildings while kicking some bad guys butts! Since you have no problem with heights you'll enjoying it yeah?
Leo And Rio: yeah!
Sion: good! Let's go then!
Sion took the twins and applied aura on his legs to jump higher to use the buildings and tree houses as support for his leaps to watch the city from above and see what's going on and what will be his next move, but things turned around when he came across Lik who threw mana bullets at him making Sion lose balance and lands on the ground.
Sion: ok you're not the first hostile person I came across to. What's your deal?!
Lik: (lands on the ground) I believe those brats will be coming with me.
Sion: oh yeah? Well who are you?
Rio: he's the guy who works with papa I believe.
Leo: yeah and he's usually a jerk!
Lik: what? I thought I had made a good impression with you guys, oh well it won't matter since I'm going to kill you.
Sion: I doubt a noble will stand a chance against me.
Lik: elven nobles are way different from the weak human nobles who only cares about money and fulfilling their needs (well I'm kinda the same)
Sion: well there's a different classes of nobles among humans which some believe in battle strength or money strength, but someone like you won't know that since you look down at humans.
Lik: who said I look down at humans?
Sion: it's written all over your face. The way you look at me... I don't like it.
Lik: of course you don't, but what's the use of your lives anyways? You humans have a very short life span and you're not very liked by nature like we elves are. Elves are born with the most highest mana levels than any other race out there. You humans should just become our slaves, and a pretty lady like you can become everyone's favorite if you were to become a whore for us!
Sion: (crushed)....I'm a boy.
Lik:.... Well it doesn't matter! You're still pretty much a goal.
Sion: ay I ain't no homo.
Lik: like I said: it doesn't fucking matter!
Sion: yeah no thanks pal.
Lik: well whatever. I'm not leaving here until the brats are dead!
Sion: you can try! (enters state of aura release)
Lik: well that's what you humans are good for! Bieng a hindrance! (starts releasing mana)
It looks like it was about to get heated in Sion's side though he must fight Lik while protecting the twins at the same time. A difficult task for Sion but can he handle the challenge.
Sion:..... (I just realized, can one year olds speak so fluently?)
