Hours before Mitchelle placed a call to Isaac.
Sienna had slipped back into her room after another tiring day. Another day's work successfully cleared; she had seriously lost count of how many people she had treated secretly since being locked away, but she was more than satisfied with every life she was able to save.
She took a long, hot bath, letting the water wash out all the exhaustion that had settled in her bones, and when she walked out of the bath, she sat with the meal that had been slipped under her door for dinner like an offering to a prisoner. After the meal she prepared to go to bed.
But at that moment, she heard the sound of the door being unlocked.
She frowned slightly. The door had not been opened since the day she had cut herself and locked away like an animal. The lock clicked for a while, and soon the door swung inward.
Someone walked in, someone she never expected to see.
"Director?" Sienna called as she sat up in disbelief. "How are you here?"
