A week has passed since the accursed battle between Megumi and Chiharu. Chiharu was still admitted into a hospital. Though she was out of danger, she was still terribly injured and was declared incapable of fighting for sometime. Usami and the others had visited her sometime ago. But on a Sunday afternoon and unexpected person paid a visit.
"Um, the thing is that, she is in a safe state now. But the wounds on her abdomen have not healed up. That Shikigami attacks have a unique curse energy that prevent my RCT to dispel it. Just like an unhealable wound. The wound must heal naturally on its own. The marks are deep but blood clotting has already started. After two months she will be as good as new" Jeni the medic girl told feebly everything she knew to Yuji.
Yuji who had come after hearing about the incident looked over her daughter with dead eyes. Jeni could feel a bloodlust seeping out of it.
"Thank you for taking care of her. Please continue doing so until she is completely healed" Yuji turned towards her and made a bow. He turned towards the door.
" Um, aren't you gonna stay" Jeni asked abruptly.
Yuji turned towards her and said menacingly "I have a lot of other works to do"
Upon seeing his anger face Jeni thought 'Why did I blurted out, what if he gets angry. The higher up will scold me again'
Just when the door was opened, Yuji was face to face with Usami. He was panting heavily and couldn't say anything clearly. Yuji too was confused of what to say. Usami held both his shoulders and said heavily
"Thank you for coming. We are doing our best to save her. It is a unique case for us to. Our medic RCT is not working so we are dependent upon medicine and rest for now"
Some minutes ago when yuji entered to see Chiharu, Jeni had sent a message to Usami. And the man had left all his pending work to meet with Itadori.
"I thank you deeply from my heart" Yuji said with a smile
"Don't worry, justice will be served. We will catch Megumi and a trial will be done at once" Usami said confidently.
Yuji face pale. The smile he was holding faded and he held his lips bitterly. He looked into Usami and said firmly
"I have heard that you have created an Anti Megumi squad. Well, I entreat you to disband all activities concerning Megumi, for I shall be the one to kill him." The last few words, were spoke wrathfully. Quickly he composed himself up and walked towards the exit.
Usami was stupified for a few seconds but a pleasing smile soon set up on his face. There was no one in the corridor to see him smiling so merrily after such a long time. That smile seem as if all this events were pre-planned. As if Chiharu grim defeat and Yuji new found conviction to kill Megumi may seem to be part of a master plan. But no one knows what was to come next. Even Usami didn't know things would turn this way. But for the time being, the odds were not against him and he smiled upon them.
