Chapter 58: I Hate Kind Girls, Because They Are Kind to Everyone.
....
"I see."
Seito nodded, glancing briefly at Aimi.
No matter what world you were in, couples like this existed. Truthfully, Seito didn't blame her. While her tone was abrasive and sharp, she was fighting for her family. By trying to squeeze every cent out of the property, she was attempting to secure a safety net for their future child.
"I won't settle for a penny under 1.1 million!"
Aimi insisted, crossing her arms stubbornly.
"You...!" Kazuma struggled to maintain his composure. "The listing price was clear! One million was what we agreed on before we even sat down. What is wrong with you today?"
"What's wrong with me?" Aimi retorted coldly. "Life is expensive, Kazuma! Today, the price is 1.1 million, or we keep the keys!"
As the two began to spiral into a heated argument, Seito rubbed his temples, feeling a headache brewing.
"Seito-chan~"
Haruno Yukinoshita's voice suddenly drifted into his ear. Seito turned his head, and his lips nearly brushed against hers—she had leaned in so close he could feel the warmth of her breath.
"What is it?" he asked, trying to ignore the proximity.
"Do you think if we got married, we'd end up screaming at each other like that?" Haruno whispered, her beautiful eyes darting toward the bickering couple.
"The two of us?" Seito paused to consider. A few seconds later, he leaned forward, pressing his forehead against hers, his eyes locking onto hers. "Probably not. After all, I'm an unrepentant LSP (Lecherous Person). I plan on marrying several more."
Haruno's face flushed at the sudden contact, but upon hearing his "declaration," she pulled back just a few centimeters.
"Seito-chan, you really are a scoundrel, aren't you~?"
"I'm not a scoundrel," Seito grinned. "I'm just an honest man with a lot of love to give."
Meanwhile, the domestic dispute across the table reached a tentative truce. Kazuma turned back to Seito, looking defeated.
"Look, brother... I'm incredibly sorry. I've talked it over with my wife. The lowest we can go is 1.03 million per unit. If we don't get that, I can't convince her to sign."
Kazuma was clearly at his limit. If he didn't secure this price, the deal would collapse, and his father back home couldn't wait.
1.03 million... Seito rubbed his chin.
In any other life, he and Blank would never dream of spending money so recklessly. But with the gold flowing in from God's Domain, this was pocket change. The priority was getting Sora and Shiro settled in as neighbors. Once the deed was done, he'd call a moving company to transport Blank's high-end gaming rigs and hire a professional cleaning crew.
Under Kazuma's anxious gaze, Seito finally nodded.
"No problem. Let's sign the contracts and finalize the transfer now."
"Thank you, brother!" Kazuma exhaled, looking like a weight had been lifted from his chest. He pulled out the pre-prepared contracts and handed them over.
Seito gave one to Haruno and kept one for himself. They spent ten minutes scrutinizing the fine print.
"The contracts are solid," Seito confirmed.
"Excellent." Kazuma beamed.
The group proceeded to the local registry. Seito registered his unit under Sora's name—he had brought the boy's ID along—and planned to have Sora transfer the funds later.
Kind Girls and Hidden Intentions
Ten minutes later, Seito and Haruno stepped back onto the street, each holding a property deed.
"This is nice. Being with you is surprisingly relaxing," Haruno said, stretching her arms and revealing her perfect, lithe curves.
As the eldest daughter of the Yukinoshita family, she spent her life wearing masks. Even her current playful, bold persona was a layer of armor she used to navigate the world.
"In reality, Haruno, you're actually a very kind person," Seito said with a soft smile.
Haruno froze for a second. She quickly recovered her playful facade, looking at him with feigned curiosity. "Oh? So you like 'kind' girls?"
"Actually, I hate kind girls," Seito replied, instinctively channeling a famous quote from the Gamer Teacher (Hachiman).
"Because a kind girl is kind to everyone. It makes a person feel like they aren't special."
Haruno puffed out her cheeks in a mock pout. "So Seito-chan has a problem with me?"
"Not exactly. I just wish you'd be kind to only me."
Haruno's face turned a brilliant shade of pink. Though she felt a genuine surge of shyness, she masked it with a sly smile.
"That won't work~ Big Sister Haruno still has to be kind to little Yukino."
"Then there's only one solution," Seito noted, glancing at her.
"And what would that be? I'm all ears."
"Simple. Both sisters move in and marry me at the same time. Problem solved!" Seito said with absolute, unshakeable confidence.
Haruno: "..."
She fell silent, completely stunned by his audacity. While she knew he was mostly joking, there was a terrifying undercurrent in his voice that suggested he might actually be serious.
"Eh?" Seito suddenly stopped, his eyes widening.
"What is it?" Haruno followed his gaze.
Seito pointed toward a restaurant window where a familiar figure sat. "Look, it's Shizuka-Chan."
"Shizuka-Chan?" Haruno blinked, then focused.
Inside the restaurant, Shizuka Hiratsuka was sitting across from a man, clearly on a blind date. The man suddenly stood up, looking panicked, and fled the restaurant as if his life depended on it.
"It looks like Shizuka-chan's matchmaking attempt failed again," Haruno giggled, shielding her mouth. She looked at Seito with narrowed eyes. "That nickname fits her, though. She is quite cute."
"Of course she is!" Seito raised his chin proudly. "Who would ever turn down a sweet student-teacher romance? Come on! Let's go cause some trouble!"
Seito took the lead, heading toward the restaurant with a mischievous glint in his eye. Haruno followed, her smile growing wider by the second.
Inside the Restaurant
Shizuka Hiratsuka, having just watched another potential suitor run for the hills, irritably lit a cigarette.
"Unbelievable... I don't ask for a huge dowry, I own my own house, I have a stable job... why do they keep running?"
She slumped in her seat, lost in thought.
She wasn't ugly—far from it. She had the money, the figure, and the looks. But her blind dates were a recurring disaster. If this kept up, she was going to lose her confidence entirely.
