Chapter 249: A Safe Zone... Above the 50th Floor?!

...

As they made their way rapidly toward the upper floors, Seito and Kirukiru Amou encountered quite a few players from the Eastern Server. It was clear that during this period, a significant number of them had reached the level cap of 80, allowing them to finally venture above the 50th floor.

A while later, they arrived at the 57th floor.

The environment on the 57th floor was a desolate wasteland. Unlike the previous levels, this floor looked as if the Ice Age had returned. Seito felt fine, but the moment Kirukiru Amou stepped into the zone, she let out a sharp sneeze.

Whoosh!

The Dimensional Cube appeared, hovering beside Amou. It projected an energy barrier that enveloped her, shielding her from the biting cold.

"It's so quiet here," Seito murmured, sensing the temperature of his surroundings.

"I'm level 94, yet I can still feel the cold—the temperature on this floor is insanely low!" Amou remarked, once she had recovered from the initial chill.

"I've ascended to Godhood, so I don't feel anything on this floor, but you're still a mortal," Seito replied.

He remembered that when he had first visited the 57th floor, his reaction had been similar to hers. But now that he was a God, his resistance stats were effectively maxed out. As long as no "God King" level entities appeared, he was practically invincible!

"By the way, are you planning to clear the 60th floor?" Amou asked, a sudden thought occurring to her.

Now that he was a confirmed deity, Seito's current strength was more than enough to steamroll the 60th floor.

"I could clear it," Seito answered calmly. "But I don't intend to provoke those existing Gods just yet."

Clearing the 60th floor was one thing, but tangling with divine-level entities was a gamble he wasn't ready to take. He needed to observe how those Gods operated for a while. Once he was certain there would be no unforeseen issues—then he would kill them.

Amou nodded, understanding his logic. The two of them continued their search for mini-bosses to grind for EXP.

Time flew by. In the blink of an eye, it was 10:00 PM.

Seito and Amou were standing on the 58th floor. That afternoon, after they had cleared out every mini-boss on the 57th floor, they had proceeded directly to the boss labyrinth. Because Seito had ascended, the Pseudo-God boss had been obliterated in a single strike!

It was a testament to how terrifying Seito's combat power had become. Back when he was level 100, killing a boss had taken him at least a dozen minutes, but now? One shot.

Truly... those who have not entered Godhood are ultimately just ants. To a God, a Pseudo-God is nothing more than a slightly larger ant!

"The mini-bosses on the 58th floor are all cleared. Should we head to the 59th? I'm only one level away from reaching 100!" Amou said. Her level had surged throughout the day, and she was on the verge of hitting the cap.

"Yeah, we definitely have to go. Let's get your level maxed out today, but give me a second," Seito said, opening his personal panel.

"No problem." Amou nodded and stood by, waiting quietly.

[Name: Sei]

His stored Divine Power had increased by 170,000. Aside from that, his panel remained largely unchanged. Seito closed his interface and opened his inventory.

[Inventory: Sei]

[Materials: Flame Godhead Fragment, Nature Godhead Fragment, Demon Treasure (Gold)...]

[Unused Equipment: ...]

[Gold: 265 billion]

He still hadn't given the Flame Godhead Fragment to Haruno yet. Furthermore, the 57th-floor boss labyrinth had dropped a "Nature Godhead Fragment."

Seito frowned. The Nature Godhead didn't seem particularly suitable for any of his current Executors. This fragment not only possessed immense natural attack power but also contained significant healing capabilities. Giving it to an Executor felt like a waste.

What if I gave it to one of the Elven Queens? Seito thought.

He immediately thought of the two Elven Queens: Philna, the Elven Queen of the 30th floor, and Lina, the Elven Queen of the 11th floor. Both were perfect candidates for the fragment, but deciding which one to give it to was a major dilemma.

Moreover... if Seito bestowed a Godhead fragment upon one of these Elven Queens, it would inevitably force them to become his "sub-gods." As the Main God, he would be able to suppress them and restrict their actions using his authority.

I'll ask them about it when I head back, Seito decided.

Beep-beep.

Just then, a notification popped up in the Executor private chat channel for both him and Amou.

[SunnyCat (Haruno): @Everyone. Does anyone want to come to the 53rd floor? I've discovered something interesting. ]

[Sora: Haruno, what did you find? ]

[Shiro: Curious~ ]

[SunnyCat: Hehe, I discovered that a "Safe Zone" has opened above the 50th floor. ]

[Everyone: ?!?]

Seito and Amou froze simultaneously.

A Safe Zone... above the 50th floor? Was that even possible? Could the game actually allow such a thing?

The two of them exchanged a glance, and Seito sent a quick message.

[Sei: Give me the coordinates. I'm on my way. ]

[SunnyCat: Coordinates.JPG ]

Closing the chat, Seito led Amou toward the 53rd floor.

God Domain, 53rd Floor.

Inside a ruined relic, the Executors gathered. All eyes were fixed on Yukinoshita Haruno.

"Haruno, what's the information you found?" Seito asked.

"Right here." Haruno pulled out a piece of parchment. "I stumbled upon this by accident. The information written here was recorded by the civilization that once existed on the 53rd floor."

Seito took the parchment. It was aged, faintly emitting a sour, musty odor, but Seito paid it no mind. He opened the parchment and began to examine the contents. It was a record expressed through paintings.

It wasn't hard to interpret. Once he took a closer look, he began to understand exactly what was written on it.
