Chapter 250: Ascension! War Goddess—Kirukiru Amou!
.....
The paintings on the parchment were simple yet graphic:
The first: A scene of slaughter, killing monsters.
The second: All monsters eliminated.
The third: People building a sanctuary.
The fourth: A divine light descending, and from the crowd, a king is chosen!
It aligned almost perfectly with what Haruno had told them. It made sense logically, too. Seito handed the parchment back.
"Everyone, take a look for yourselves."
The group took the parchment and studied it, falling into deep thought.
"So, it basically means if we clear out all the monsters on a floor, we can establish a Safe Zone?" Maple scratched her head, tilting her head to the side.
"That's about the size of it," Seito nodded. "But clearing out every single monster isn't as simple as it sounds."
The respawn timer for wild monsters in the God Domain was one month. To establish a Safe Zone, they would have to kill every single monster within that timeframe—a task of immense difficulty.
"Can't you just wipe the map clean?" Shizuka Hiratsuka exhaled a cloud of smoke, her gaze shifting to Seito.
At that remark, the others turned their eyes to Seito as well. Everyone had heard Seito mention his current combat power—the ability to destroy stars. Clearing a map on the 53rd floor was well within his capabilities.
"That..." Seito's mouth twitched.
He could do it, technically. But he couldn't repair the buildings he'd destroy in the process. If he reduced the entire floor to rubble, what would be the point of establishing a Safe Zone? There would be no ecological environment left to protect.
After a moment's thought, Seito turned to Sora. "Sora, I'll leave this to you. We'll establish the Safe Zone on the 60th floor over the next two days. I'll take Amou with me to clear the floor, and once we're done, the position of Floor Master will be yours."
Sora immediately understood the weight of that responsibility and nodded. "No problem."
The authority of the 60th-floor Floor Master. That was a vital position. After all, the 60th floor was the threshold between Pseudo-God combat power and true Deity-level strength. Having Sora stationed there was the perfect strategic choice.
With that settled, Seito reached into his inventory and pulled out another Godhead fragment, then turned to Haruno. "Haruno, this one's for you."
"Eh?! A Flame Godhead fragment!"
Haruno's eyes lit up. This was exactly what she needed.
She took the fragment and closed her eyes, absorbing the energy within. Ten seconds later, she opened them again. "What a strange feeling," she murmured, sensing the shift in her internal state.
"They all feel that way at first," Seito said with a smile. "Alright, Amou and I are off to grind some levels."
A while later, deep within the 59th-floor Boss Labyrinth.
Seito held a new Godhead fragment in his hand, placing it next to the one he had just obtained from the 58th-floor boss.
Lightning Godhead!
Game Godhead!
These were the drops from the last two floor bosses. The Lightning one was self-explanatory—authority over the power of thunder and lightning. But the Game Godhead... Seito rested his chin in his hand, contemplating. He wondered if he should give this one to Sora. If Sora became the God of Games, it would fit his talent perfectly. He decided to ask Sora about it later.
"Seito, let's get started. I've hit the level cap," Kirukiru Amou said, a grin spreading across her face.
She had finally reached level 100! She was about to become the second God of the Planet!
"Let's do it!"
Seito nodded, and the two of them logged out simultaneously.
In the bedroom.
Seito removed his gaming helmet and used Spatial Shift to appear in Kirukiru Amou's room. He found her sitting up in bed, ready to go.
"We're going to use Real-Login!"
"Right!"
They immediately logged into the game using their full-body immersion pods. Why not ascend in the real world? The resulting energy disturbance would simply be too massive to conceal.
Appearing once more in the 59th-floor Boss Labyrinth, Seito summoned the Dimensional Cube.
Whoosh! The cube dismantled into twenty-seven blocks, orbiting Amou to form a defensive barrier. Next, Seito broke through his own divine body!
Nine drops of golden, radiant Divine Blood appeared before them. Without hesitation, he forced them into Kirukiru Amou's mouth!
BOOM!
A surge of terrifying energy erupted! Amou sat cross-legged, meditating. Because she wasn't condensing a new Godhead from scratch like Seito had, her transition was much smoother, and to Seito's relief, there were no thunderbolts striking down!
Shhh-shhh!
Bright red blood began to drip from her body as golden light began to shimmer beneath her skin. She was undergoing a blood transfusion! Thanks to the Godhead's protection, she didn't seem to be in any agony.
Time slipped away.
Amou's old blood had been entirely replaced by divine blood. Under the scouring of this sacred energy, impurities were purged from her body, and her very bones were tempered anew. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, her bone structure and skin were completely refined.
Deep within her mind, her Godhead began to condense rapidly!

Kirukiru Amou opened her eyes, and a piercing, warlike intent flared within her beautiful gaze!
Her aura was divine, regal, and fiercely heroic—the beauty of a warrior that no mere mortal could compare to.

The system notification hit the entire server like a shockwave! Players froze where they stood, dumbstruck!
"Wait... the Executor 'Empress' just ascended?!"
"Holy crap! Does this mean the Fatui Guild now has two Gods?!"
"Buddy, you should be worried about reality, not the game!"
"I feel the same way! Tsk, tsk, tsk... I guess the Eastern Country is officially the strongest nation on the planet now."
"Heh, besides the countries following the Eastern Country, does anyone else even have players past level 40?"
"Doesn't look like it."
