Chapter 266: Becoming the Tutor for the Nakano Quintuplets.

.....

Shiramine Risa looked like she'd just taken a critical hit. Talk about a sudden serving of dog food!

"Ughhh...!"

Maple's face flushed a deep, beet red. She hadn't expected Seito to pull a stunt like that—it had genuinely startled her! However, she didn't hate it.

A few seconds later, Seito composed himself. I have to admit, Maple's cheeks were incredibly soft and carried a sweet, faint fragrance.

"Maple, I'll see you at school tomorrow."

Seito set Maple down and stood up.

"Okay, see you tomorrow, Seito-kun~"

Maple gave Seito a brilliant, sunny smile.

Although neither of them had explicitly confessed with words, it was an unspoken understanding between them. Seito waved a hand, and with a ripple of space, he was gone.

Once he vanished, Risa looked at Maple with burning curiosity. "Maple, what did that feel like?"

"Um..." Maple's face was still slightly pink.

"How did it feel? It was... kind of sweet~"

Risa's eye twitched at the answer.

Is this what "love brain" is? What is this "sweet" business?!

Meanwhile...

After leaving Maple's house, Seito headed toward the Chiba City First People's Hospital.

To be honest, Seito was quite fond of Maple. She was, after all, a legendary "Moe Queen" in her own right. She might not have had the same world-renowned fame as the "Slime King," but she was an icon nonetheless.

"Now, the only thing left is the Nakano quintuplets' father," Seito muttered to himself.

The quintuplets' father, Nakano Maruo, was the man who had adopted and raised all five of them. You had to admit, the guy was impressive. Raising five girls on his own was no small feat—most people wouldn't have been half as capable.

However...

While Maruo had raised them well, their grades were a constant headache. The scores were frankly painful to look at, which is exactly why he was looking for a private tutor.

After walking for a while, Seito arrived at the hospital entrance and strode inside.

"Excuse me, where can I find Dr. Nakano Maruo?" Seito asked a passing junior nurse.

"Dr. Nakano?" The nurse paused, giving Seito a once-over. She immediately flashed a friendly smile. Oh, this guy is handsome~

Politely, she pointed the way. "You can try the third floor."

"Thanks." Seito nodded and headed for the elevators. He pressed the button for the third floor. At this hour, the hospital was relatively quiet, so the elevator was empty. He reached the third floor in no time.

As soon as he stepped out, he spotted a sharp-looking man with a middle-part hairstyle.

No need to guess—that was his target for the day: Nakano Maruo!

Seito walked quickly, following him into his consulting room.

"Dr. Nakano." Seito called out.

Maruo glanced at Seito, then looked away, sitting down in his chair without breaking his professional rhythm. "Name? What are you here for? Tell me your symptoms."

He had seamlessly slipped into "doctor mode."

"I'm not here for a checkup," Seito said, his mouth twitching slightly.

"Not for a checkup?" Maruo looked Seito up and down. "Then why are you here? Don't get in the way of my work!"

"I'm here to apply for the position of private tutor," Seito replied.

"A tutor?" Maruo paused, then asked, "How are your grades?"

Seito smiled. "School subjects are extremely simple. I don't even need to listen in class to get full marks. It's basically child's play."

He wasn't bragging. What was there in the world that a god didn't know? Especially now that Seito possessed the power of omniscience—these test questions were about as complex as 1+1=2.

"..."

Maruo said nothing. His perpetual, expressionless poker face twitched slightly.

Child's play? Does that mean he doesn't even need hands to do it?

A moment later, Maruo asked, "What is your name?"

"Seito."

"And how do you prove what you said is true?"

"How about a bet? Open your phone right now. I predict the America 's Official and several of the big family heads have just died. If they're dead, the tutoring job goes to me. If they're not, you can give me a test, and I'll answer it." Seito grinned.

Using a bet to secure the job immediately was the most efficient way to handle this.

Maruo remained expressionless, though he felt a sense of deep disdain. Please! Those are high-profile figures in the America ; how could they possibly be dead?

After a moment's thought, Maruo opened his phone. The top trends were perfectly normal.

A few moments later, however, a headline rocketed to the top of the trending list with lightning speed!

[SHOCKING! The Biggest Tragedy in the America in a Decade: The Official and Several Family heads Found Dead!]

Maruo: "..."

His expression grew increasingly bizarre. He was completely dumbfounded.

They... they actually died?!

How on earth did they die? Maruo was stunned. The America's leader and those powerful patriarchs were actually dead? He hastily started reading the news report.

After reading it, Maruo looked up, deep in thought, and stared at Seito. "How did you know?"

"Does that matter?" Seito countered.

Maruo looked down again, pondered for a moment, and then nodded. "Alright. In that case, you're hired as my daughters' tutor. Your monthly salary will be the market rate."

"No problem."

Having gotten the job, Seito waved a hand. "Then, Uncle, I'll be going now."

"Mhm." Maruo nodded.

Seito turned and walked out of the consulting room. Today's little trip had a few unexpected twists, but overall, it had gone incredibly smoothly.

He headed toward the restroom in the hallway, slipped into a stall, and stepped inside.

With a flick of his spatial power, he vanished from the hospital.

....
