Chapter 16 - Chapter 16 — The Island Meeting

Deep beneath the Egyptian desert, the ancient chamber glowed with its strange blue light.

The mysterious panels were still active, displaying fragments of information, symbols, and recordings that no historian had ever seen before.

Li Wen stood close to the central screen.

Her face was serious.

"Arun," she said quietly.

"How much have we downloaded?"

Arun sat beside a portable terminal connected to the ancient interface.

Lines of data scrolled rapidly across his screen.

"Almost everything," he replied.

"Video records… maps… translations… engineering diagrams."

He shook his head slowly.

"I still don't understand how technology like this could exist here."

Li Wen stared at the glowing panels.

"Neither do I."

Albert stood behind them, arms crossed.

"Does it matter right now?"

Arun looked up.

Albert continued calmly.

"What matters is that we take the information with us."

"Because if anyone else finds this place…"

He didn't finish the sentence.

Arun nodded.

"Download complete."

He disconnected the device carefully.

"All records secured."

Mark stepped forward.

"Then we should move."

Albert agreed.

"Yes."

Li Wen looked toward him.

"Move where?"

Albert answered immediately.

"Oceania."

Li Wen frowned slightly.

"Oceania?"

Albert nodded.

"A small island near Australia."

"My private resting place."

Arun blinked.

"You have a private island?"

Albert smiled faintly.

"I have several."

Within hours, the team had left the desert site.

Their aircraft crossed the skies of the Middle East and moved south toward the Pacific Ocean.

Days later—

a small island appeared on the horizon.

White beaches.

Deep blue water.

And a large modern residence built on the edge of the island.

The plane landed smoothly.

Albert stepped out first.

Standing near the entrance to the house was Hassan.

He smiled when he saw Albert.

"مرحبًا مرة أخرى، سيد ألبرت."

Albert returned the greeting.

"مرحبًا يا حسن. يبدو أننا سنعمل معًا مرة أخرى."

Hassan laughed.

"بالتأكيد. العمل الجيد يجمعنا دائمًا."

Albert nodded.

"العمل… والأعمال."

They shook hands warmly.

Li Wen watched them with curiosity.

"You two seem very familiar."

Albert simply smiled.

"Business partners."

The group walked toward the large house.

But something else caught Li Wen's attention.

Another aircraft was approaching the island.

A government aircraft.

It landed on a nearby runway.

Several security agents stepped out first.

Then a familiar figure appeared at the door.

The President of the United States.

Li Wen stopped walking.

Her mind struggled to process what she was seeing.

The President walked toward Albert calmly.

Albert stepped forward.

The two men stopped face to face.

For a brief moment, neither spoke.

Then—

the President extended his hand.

Albert did the same.

And as their hands met—

Li Wen realized something that made her question everything she thought she understood.

Who exactly…

was Albert?
